This review has been a long time coming and I wasn’t able to write it until now. I was under a major medical emergency back in June 2023 and Henry was soooo very kind to me and sooo very patient. I was a wreck and in such pain. I made several calls to him trying to work through the timeframe of the emergency and needed a place that evening. He was calm and informative. Checkin was a breeze. The room was very clean, neat and odor free and quiet. The bathroom was clean and had nice amenities and a bathtub matt. Towels were clean and white. Bedding clean. Comfy beds and pillows. Also had TV, desk, a refrigerator. Simple and nice. We stayed the night and headed south 170 miles to the next emergency facility. Two days later we headed back to Eugene and stayed again at the Downtown Inn and Henry gave us the same room. The grounds were clean with no trash or cigarette butts. This place is truly a pride of ownership and I strongly recommend you stay here. Thank you Henry. ☀️

As others have shared: 1) VERY clean rooms, 2) quiet, considering it's location, 3) plenty of parking, 4) great central location & 5) friendly/helpful staff. What more could one want in a motel?

Quiet comfortable well-maintained room in the center of Eugene. Easy walking distance to the Hult center, restaurants, and the train station.

the lady and the guy were super rude. when i got locked out of my room i had to ring a sketchy doorbell thing and i think the guy was sleeping in there or something but when i told him i was locked out he seriously sighed at me and said “seriously”. yes seriously do your job. and the lady at the front was treating me poorly because i am young. she was implying that we were going to bring more people and be loud. don’t stay here unless you want to feel like a burden. also 115 for a gross under cleaned motel 6 looking room is crazy.

Older place that has been well updated. Nice price point too. No coffee in room (or lobby) but Starbucks just around the corner. Bedspread was pilled and a little tired but otherwise good linens. Towels were very nice! Bottom line: it's not Holiday Inn Express but does the job at a nice price!

Having never stayed here before I would definitely stay here again. Easy to find, plenty of parking and the room I stayed in was super clean and I slept well. Plenty of restaurants in the area that you can walk to and the owner is very nice.

This is a great place to stay while visiting Eugene! The rooms are clean and have a bed, desk, table, small fridge, and TV on a dresser. There are also amenities like an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body lotion. The grounds are clean and the staff is friendly! It was easy to make reservations by phone and everything was ready with our room when we arrived. Check out was a breeze! There is also a coffee shop a half block away.

A very pleasant Inn right in the heart of town. Clean and well presented.

Located with easy access to the freeway. Room was clean and comfortable. Fast and friendly check in and reasonable rates. They offered a few free breakfast items as well, we didn't eat there, and the coffee was too weak to drink. Tried the Starbucks next door a couple times but service and hours were iffy, if you're a coffee drinker good luck! Didn't take away from our rating at all and we'd stay there again happily.

Beautiful location, clean room with large fridge/freezer and microwave, substantial free breakfast, friendly professional staff. Not sure how the star system is supposed to work, but this place has the amenities and should have more stars.

Have been staying here for years! Nice quiet spot near many good restaurants. Rooms are always clean. I stay in lots of hotels and this is my go to when I’m in the Eugene area.

Proprietors are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Rooms are clean and have microwave, refrigerator, sinks outside the bathroom, HDTV, wifi, two chairs, comfy beds, etc. Close to downtown Eugene, on foot or by bus. Breakfast (although not always available; we were on a tour so it was provided) was excellent.

I've stayed at Downtown Inn several times over the years (since 2019) and I've never been disappointed. Hosts are friendly and professional. Check-i was a breeze. The room was clean, pleasant and surprisingly quiet given that the location is on the "main drag" of Eugene. Highly recommend.

Best value in Eugene- sure you could pay twice as much, but you are not going to find a cleaner, quieter, better-provisioned room. Downtown Inn exceeded every expectation. The room was so comfortable and had absolutely everything any traveler would need or want. This is where I will always stay when in Eugene. And the staff is professional, polite, and helpful.

Just completed a 10 night stay at the Downtown Inn - in Eugene for the World Athletics Championship. Henry and his wife (the owners) were very accommodating of our group! The rooms were extremely clean. Breakfasts were really good, too. It's located less than 2 blocks from an EMX bus station (with frequent service), and right across the street from a decent 24 hour convenience store - in case you need anything! I'll definitely stay at Downtown Inn the next time I'm in Eugene!

We needed a place to stay near the train station as we were leaving very early in the morning. We were able to check in earlier and found our room to be very clean. It is an older motel, single story, but very well kept. Glasses are plastic. No coffee maker, but had microwave and small fridge. Nice place to stay for an older motel.
