My non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke and the chair in there had what looked like a cigarette burn in it. The room just felt so unclean that we instantly booked a hotel across the street. It didn't feel secure at all, I wouldn't recommend, especially if you're traveling with a young family. Spending the extra buck for a nicer hotel is 100% worth it.

Moved rooms a couple of times. Staff was excellent. Heaters didn't work in two of the rooms. Smoke alarm chirping. No hot water and had to ask for bedding. The carpet was sticker and the rooms had a strange smell. I would not recommend. Karen Ward

Dear Owner, Is it true the Guest House is slatef to be demolished by the end of 2022? That would explain but definitely not excuse the condition of this establishment. All of the negative comments in reviews are true as of June 2022. Many of the people sitting in chairs smoking near the entrance are the employees! We checked in on Friday and did not have a screen in the window until Wednesday. So, Dear "Owner", I appreciate all the positive responses, however, I am sorry to see the promises to address the grievances have gone unfulfilled. I am also sympathetic to those residents who may again be displaced. Demolition, however, may be best for the greater good of the community.

Staff was wonderful!! So nice and helpful. Room was nice but the sheets and blankets smelled sour. Like left in the washer too long or put away still wet? Carpets need to be replaced. Otherwise it was nice just what I needed for the night. Needed a ride to the airport at 430am. Taxi service was overbooked so the man who checked me in at 7pm drove me himself!! No charge. So nice. Overall I'm happy with my stay. Thank you.

It started off with every time we wanted in our room, we had to go to front desk to get our card reset. We came back at 6:00pm to a room that hadn't been cleaned. We couldn't even get towels. The room smelled like smoke. The toilet kept running

Given the prices in general it’s a top notch hotel. Many others have sup par quality upkeep and amenities. I did note some rooms have mixed up mini fridges and microwaves but I’m fairly sure they would have fixed that by now. They do allow microwave use in the lobby. Night staff though I think only one skeleton crew knew his check in and out procedures better than the day one and fixed some software issues.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place was absolutely foul. The room smelled like mold, there were hairs on the beds, and a USED, BLOODY tampon in the toilet. The moldy room smell was so bad I didn’t feel comfortable staying there with my 3 year old, so we left and went somewhere else. Do not recommend to anyone.

Guest house is scheduled to be demolished at the end of the year. And, the U-haul truck jambed under the front door awning blocking registration front door should be a clue what to expect. The smokers at the entrance doors, 5-7 deep are a nice touch. Look elsewhere for a stay in Eugene, Oregon

If you’re thinking about staying here, don’t. The only good thing about this place was the lady working the front desk - she was nice. It was gross and felt unsafe and we left and got a room elsewhere and returned in the morning to checkout. Spend the extra money and go somewhere that is clean and safe.

This place didn't come close to its picture. This is a extended stay. I didn't exactly feel safe. The only nice thing was the woman at the front desk insisted that we see the room first before we checked in. If we were staying for more then one night we would have gone somewhere else.

Clean room and linens, quiet room. Musty odor when walking into room section. Toilet was running, notified front desk they said they'd make a note so we didn't get charged?! People on phone in every stairwell. Ice machines not working. Okay for the price.

The room was clean and comfortable. Outside appearances and hallways could use improvements and cleaning. We enjoyed the pool. The beds were comfortable & had a great comforter. Option for a 1 night stay at a 1/3 of the going price. If your looking for fancy and prestige, this is not your place.

Don’t stay here, it’s closing 3 weeks and they don’t care. There was no heat in our room and there was no attempt to assist. It’s gross and dirty, not worth any cent.

They are closing in a month and, we were told by check in staff, being demolished. There is a U-haul that ran into their front entrance covering and is still there, as it is holding it up now. It smells of mold, but after the heater was on for 3 hours and we were gone, the smell improved. You hold your breath walking in the halls. The side doors are all open for anyone to walk into, as you cannot use the front entrance, as the U-Haul stuck under it, has made it unsafe and the front door is chained shut. There are fleas in our room, but we are enjoy our evening and it will be something to remember and talk about for years to come.

This place is disgusting. Should have known it was going to be bad by how cheap it was. The room was dirty. Sheets had other people's hair on it. Like they didn't get washed or changed. The bed was so hard. Could have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. The shower was a hand heald shower head. Had to hold it while my girlfriend took a shower. The worst part is they double charged for the room. Still not have got refunded. Been calling to speak to the owner for almost a week with no luck. She's never there even though the staff says she comes in daily. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

If you are someone who doesn’t read through the reviews, PLEASE READ! I hope this review can SAVE anyone who is looking to book this hotel or inform you on what you should know. My family came to help me move in for school so we stayed at this place for two days. I WAS GENUINELY SO SCARED FOR MY LIFE staying here! I can’t even sleep as I’m writing this review! 1) They told us our room was ready and it was NOT. Our room wasn’t even near finished cleaning so my Dad waited OVER 40 MINUTES for them to get a new room for us. 2) There’s trash near the staircase area, broken fridge, AC , and shelf cabinet in our room. Our door has scratch marks as if a bear claw the living hell out of it. The halls smell as the other reviewers have said. Overall, this place is not family friendly or anywhere near living condition. I highly recommend you think carefully before considering this place.
