Absolutely beautiful place to come here at night. It was about 90゚ outside when we came here and the water was perfect. I wish there were benches closer to the river that you could sit on. There are some but not close enough especially when you have kids that you need to look after. Otherwise it's a really good place to just come and relax

Beautiful and nice shallow river area for children to safely splash and play in the river.

Theres so much here to do. Love this Bike/Pedestrian Park. Access River Valley Mall via. Just before dusk, the geese flew over our heads as we were watching from the middle of the footbridge overlooking the Willamette river. Wonderful sitting benches placed for vantage viewing. It makes a pleasant walking venue. Leached pets allowed. One of my favorite parks in Eugene ... Close by on south side of the River, is the Rose Gardens. Of course its now the season to hybernate and ready for a lovely Spring array of Fresh Bloomin Roses. 😊

Absolutely love the parks here. They are along the river on the ever connecting bike path throughout the town of Eugene, Oregon. The green scenery and atmosphere near the water here is my sanctuary and a good place to enjoy the outdoors.

This is a quiet little park that has many different bike/walking paths throughout this park. Along with a large bike/walking bridge that takes you across the majestic Willamette River to the Valley River Mall. At Maurie Jacobs park, there are a couple of soccer goals for playing there, and there is a small playground for kids to play on.

The playground here is small but has 2 swings and a slide. There’s a small exercise area opposite the playground with a soccer field in the middle. They’ve recently added a gate that is closed at night so there’s no longer overnight campers in the parking lot. I’ve also seen them tow vehicles out that were parked too long so don’t overstay your welcome 🤣 Pedestrian bridge to VRC is convenient!

Stay on the bike path & do not go down the trails that lead toward the river. There were used needles lying on the ground by the river Bank & garbage everywhere & not to mention broken glass in almost every place you walked that wasn't on the bike path. Then there's the issue of poison oak, which is everywhere along the riverbank. The City needs to clean this place up, but it's good for walking or biking on the path.

It's a fine park to enjoy being outside. Maurie Jacobs offers lovely views of the river and, with its expansive turf is an ideal location for soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and other field games. The park is also a lovely spot for a picnic, with a small play area surrounded by a comfortable plaza and a scattering of picnic tables and benches, many of which are situated beneath the shade of large trees. Restrooms. Parking.

This park has plenty of parking, shade and a pretty great kids play area. It is right on the river at the bridge to Valley River Center. There is also a full soccer field and a small calisthenics area...but watch out for goose poop!

Took some sunset pics from the bridge then found nice quiet space to check out my new cards and book. It was some peaceful solitude time.

I love Maurie Jacobs park, it's a relatively calm area with access to the valley river mall, and also the bike path along the Willamette river. One thing I would like to say though, There are public trash cans stationed at several places right in the park and they are very convenient, so if you visit here please clean up after your selfs! It's simple things like that, that keep a place like this as nice and peaceful as it is. :)

Plenty of room even on the busiest days. Except for parking. It can be awfully crowded as far as that goes. Easy to get to by bus, bike or on foot. Very beautiful and the water is great in the summer time.

This park is huge. It also connects to the rose garden. There are trails for walking dogs, biking and kid friendly. There is one bathroom that I saw, kept clean, and one at the rose garden. Walk over the bridge, takes you to the mall and movie theater.

We rode our bikes to here and enjoyed sitting in the shady grass and watching the world (and ducks and geese) go by. It is a beautiful park on the river. The bike path is wide and smooth.

Nice park. Lots of ants in the summer so beware. Otherwise a very lovely place with lots of shade and nice path through

Beautiful park. Bathrooms. Which is always a plus with kids. Perfect for walking along the path next to the River. Also lots of shade and picnic tables. And little mini parks through the paths. This path does end up at the Rose Gardens. Just beautiful park. Dog and family friendly. Also has a little bank next to the River to cool off. One of our favorite spots.

This is a great park that is part of a larger system of parks that line both sides of the Willamette River. There is a soccer field with full sized goals, picnic tables, access to the walking and biking path along the river. The parking lot is fairly large. Make sure you drop a pin on the parking lot. Google took me to access with limited parking.

It's a nice park long trails around it. It's not too busy and has some nice views. A great place to share a walk with someone.

I spend my time out there trying to get my houseless friends and people learning how to fish and how it can be the same reaction as being addicted to methamphetamine because I can relate personally to that horrible addiction
