This park will always be a favorite of mine. This was the first place I went to when I moved here. It's a well rounded park for everyone. Boats, rafting, ducks, geese, playground, pavilion, bbq, BATHROOMS finally, bike path, benches, tables, picnic, lots of grass, nice walks, dogs! Shade, flowers, swim, fam pictures. Sometimes events... Parking good . Semi secluded . Fun, peaceful. 💕💕Good people, senior center too.

Rocky and mostly shallow bend in the river but still good for a dip.. the park itself has a playground and decent washrooms.. plenty of joggers, bike riders and dog walkers.

It was my 1st time to Island Park I was surprised because of what I could see from the bridge passing over the river, I didn't realise the park with much bigger. The park stretches along the river and has some really nice areas to sit and enjoy the view, lots of ducks around. The trees are starting to bloom and lots of white blossoms all over the grass.

Wonderful place for a brief escape. The river is calming and brings a nice sense of peace. The wildlife, mostly geese and ducks, is great as they have no problem coming up to you, which makes it a joy.

This is a nice park. It has a playground, restrooms, and tables. During the summer there is a lot of activities here. Live concerts, 4th of July activities and many more things. Great place to have a Birthday party. People have gotton married here. The parking is limited during certain activities like concerts and such, any other times it's usually sufficient. Families love to come here and play in the water. Lots of ducks and geese. During the springtime itis great for looking at all of their babies. A lot of people walk their dogs here. They need to be on a leash and cleaned up after them.

Island Park is located in downtown Springfield, accessible via C or D Streets, offering a respite in the center of town. It's next to the river, has wide paved path, short dirt birding trail, a couple of parking lots, 2 boat landings, playground for kids, bathrooms, benches, picnic tables, mural painted on the bridge legs. You can hear the traffic over Main St. bridge. When I went in May, the river was overflowing & 1 of parking lots & bird trail were flooded. It's dry now. Saw a couple of fishermen in the water. Pros: close to Willamette river & downtown, bathrooms, parking, birds. Cons: no long walking trail, near traffic.

Cool park ! Very pretty and lots of trees so you’ll find plenty of shade to sit and enjoy your day with family friends or just by yourself! There’s pretty ducks in a pond and so many beautiful butterflies 🦋 OR just sit by the water and enjoy the river :)

Nice park. Very very pretty with plenty of shade. They upgraded the play structure area so it's really very nice! No more wood chips. The flooring is padded material. There is a pavilion. The only downside to this park is there tends to be a lot of homeless or transient folks that hang out in the pavilion area. Other than that, it's a lovely park

Beautiful park with riverfront and a nice playground. Sometimes the park has a tendency to have a lot of transients and drug activity which does deter me from feeling at peace

I love this location for community events such as SUB's Lights of Liberty for Independence Day, and music in the park. It is a lovely spot next to the river, just across from Eugene. Small playground, nice walking and biking trail goes through it. Love the ducks! (Just watch out for duck poo.). Drawback.. a place that our homeless and/or mentally disturbed are always at.

This was my childhood playground. I miss all the good times with my family here. Still a beautiful park after all these years. Kinda seedy these days so be careful and take care to stay on the main walking/bicycle trails.

I brought my kids here today, they had alot of fun exploring, this seems to be a very well maintained park. The park has two parking lots, walking paths, a creek, restrooms and with the Willamette River right along the park. This is also a great park to have a picnic at, has great tree cover.

Have gone to a few different parks in Eugene. Island park was the best experience we had. We mostly care about seeing birds and ducks. It has lots of area for relaxing and theres all the basic park necessities from what I can tell. I get really annoyed with the boxelder bugs but they're at every park I guess and it wasn't as bad as others. Go see some waterfowl! And don't feed them bread or cheetos please 🫠 saw some people doing that.

This place is great. I was very surprised by the cleanliness seeing as how there are few trash receptacles. That's not a specific issue with this park, but everywhere in my opinion. If visiting in the rainier months you're going to want to stick to the paths. Great play structure for kids. Some covered areas for gatherings. It's a great park by the river
