This is one of my favorite place for me to eat while I am at Eugene, OR working. I posted pictures of the foods that I usually ordered there, Hong Kong Style Fried Noodles, Special combo fried rice and my very favorite is the my Customized Combo Soup Noodles. My favorites appetizers is the fried tofu and fried lumpia. I went there almost every day except when they closed but still enjoy the foods very much, especially my customized Combo Soup Noodles (from my posted photos is the Noodles with assorted different meats as a chicken, shrimps, bbq pork, crispy pork and veggies). I want to say thank you to Brian and crews for great customer service and foods. I definitely recommend Yi-Shen for great foods. Bu the way as I mentioned, my Combo Soup Noodles is different than their regular combo soup noodles, if y’all want to try mine then just simply ask them or Brian for Alex’s Noodles. They will know exactly what you referring to 😁, and I am not joking 👍. I hope my review will help y’all.

I've been coming to Yi-Shen for over 15 years and I'd definitely say it is one of Eugene's best kept secrets. The Vietnamese food is all very flavorful, authentic, prepared consistent and all ingredients are fresh. Staff is very friendly and will always answer any question about their very extensive menu. There really is a dish for everyone! Tonight I enjoyed the BBQ Pork and steamed rice plate. I also chose an extra side of roasted pork belly which was very tasty. You can also purchase meat by the pound. Food is dine in or take out. If you are in Eugene, do yourself a favor and check out Yi-Shen. You'll be happy you did 🙂

First time visit. Ordered #17 Chinese style beef soup & then Vietnamese stir fry rice noodles to go. The soup tasted well, I would order it again. The stir fry is similar to pad thai but less sweet & tastes more healthy. I tasted the stir fry while it was still hot & then also later as left overs after reheating. It's better when it's first cooked in comparison to becoming left overs.

Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is hopping. The menu is almost overwhelming with options, but the food is absolutely delicious. I will forewarn that it's not fast service but the people working are working hard. There was a continuous line of people the whole 1.5 hrs we were there. Definitely going back.

Not quite sure what's happened with stock, BUT the food is still the place to be. Roasted pork is ON POINT. Heavy on flavor. Crisp pork skin. GREAT pork to fat ratio. Peking duck is lighter in flavor over other places I've had, but still hits that sweet spot. It's fresh a bit more gamey tasting, but still great.

The food here is great and the owners so kind. Everything tastes so fresh. Massive portions! Singapore noodles with roast pork was a real highlight.

Sorry, no pic. The house special bun salad bowl was good. The roast pork was good, the portion size was perfect for lunch, and the food was fresh. Also shopped for some pantry basics- the shelves were rather barren. Di not have some of the items I have purchased in the past. The expressed having difficulty getting items.

Delicious food! I've passed through Eugene a few times and would get the BBQ rice plates here. Always hits the spot

Don't be put off by the hole in the wall vibe, the food is so fresh and wonderful. Best Vietnamese food in Eugene! I will be a regular here from now on.

This is a family owned business so I REALLY wanted to give it a good review. BUT this is some of the worse "spicy" pineapple fried rice I have ever had. There was literally NO flavor and it was definitely not spicy. I am not sure what everyone else is tasting or what has happened to this restaurant but the reviews do not reflect the food properly. The meat (chicken) was almost un-edible as well. I do not recommend this restaurant and I was very disappointed in the food.

I really like this little gem, consistently good flavors and generous portion sizes. They really scramble when they get busy. This is the place you go to for good food from good folks, not for a fancy interior, but I'd much rather have my $ go to the staff wages than a fancy interior.

I wish I could give more stars because I cannot fully express how much I love this place. My partner and I have been coming every week for a very long time now and my family has come here for years, and it’s always the best! I cannot compliment the chef enough, he’s the only one in town who’s able to make roast pork just like how I had it as a kid while living in China, and the staff is always very friendly. While everything is good I’d highly recommend the chow fun with roast pork.

Not sure if people reviewing have lost their tastebuds but this is not Pho nor is it even Asian food. No Asian employees, no Asian flavors. The so-called Pho tasted like broth from the toilet. Zero flavor, zero authenticity. Certainly not authentic Pho. I asked for tofu in the beef broth but if this was the beef broth and not the vegetable, they’re doing something wrong. Even with the chili paste and Hoisin sauce, it couldn’t be salvaged. Worse yet, I was sick to my stomach the next day. Extremely disappointed in the poor quality of food. Two stars for the friendly cashier and the items they sell in the store portion. Zero stars for the food.

I got the potstickers, bbq pork rice plate and the combination (chicken, duck, pork belly) rice plate. It was delicious and flavorful. I’m excited to try the Bun Bo Hue later. They give a lot of food. Staff was very welcoming. I have a hard time finding Vietnamese food in Oregon but this definitely reminded me of home while I’m on vacation. Will come back and will recommend.

This place is excellent for Vietnamese food. I've been coming here for years. I've yet to be let down by the food and service

Bbq pork is incredible. They have the best salad rolls I’ve ever eaten, and their chicken pho with bbq pork is amazing.

I've tried Hong Kong beef (the bok choy in this is like butter. Yum), Singapore chicken (little spicy and yum), chicken fried rice (lots of it and yum) BBQ pork steam buns (super yummy snack) BBQ pork (by weight, very good flavor), crispy pork belly ( by weight, bland and too creamy for my taste). They have a variety of Asian grocery food; frozen and pantry items. 20 to 30 minutes when I call ahead.

Been going here for years, it’s a great family owned restaurant with decent prices and good food. Chow fun and lemongrass tofu are some of my favorites

This is the only place I have found that make real Chinese BBQ pork. Once you have this you won’t look at any other Chinese restaurants pork the same. I have now tried quite a bit of what is offered here and leave overly satisfied every time. My favorites are Singapore style noodle with roast pork and the udon noodles with bbq pork. But everything has been too notch for me.

One of Eugene's secret little places that has such a diverse menu a person could eat here daily. Also sells pork belly and bbq pork by the pound.

An amazing variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Everything I tried at different visits was delicious. My favorite Vietnamese place in Eugene!
