Clearwater park is one of my favorites in Springfield. It's a short distance from Main St., but once you're there, it's quiet & serene. There's a frisbee disc course, bathrooms, paved trail for walkers, bicyclists; equestrians have their own trail. Trail is shady, comes next to the Willamette Middle fork river, with benches to rest. It's about 4 miles to Dorris Ranch parking lot, with slight upgrade near the end. I like 1 of sayings on a bench-something like, 'I get lost in the woods to lose my mind & find my soul.' Then there's the landing (2 actually) a few minutes drive pass the 1st parking lot. Landing has a couple of lots with bathrooms & hanging life jackets; 4 picnic tables. Pros: flat paved trail except near Dorris Ranch, shady, quiet, birds; multi-use trail, frisbee disc course, boat landings nearby, bathrooms, next to river. Cons: flat trail if you like hilly.

Lovely, peaceful, quiet. Picnic tables, walking trails, swimming, fishing, photo taking, birds singing, clean restrooms, right outside the outskirts of Springfield, what more could anyone ask for? In the winter, like right now, it's beautiful on a crisp, cold, sunny day. The river is high & swift, lots of kayakers & the like, zooming down the rapidly moving water. This park has it going on year around. Oh & the funny little branch sitting hummingbird, was sitting on the same branch, of the same tree, as it was in the summer! I love this park!

Lovely waterfront area with ample parking. The integrity of the wooded area has been preserved and features hiking trails, open areas for picnic and play, a boat ramp, and more. It feels less like a public park and more like a nature reserve. Restrooms are on site.

Nice place to access the river. Nice boat ramp. Hiking trails are well kept and provide nice views alongside the riverbanks. This main trail also ties into the end of the Dorris Ranch trail if you do just a little bushwacking at the very end.

I always enjoy spending time at the river and walking the trail no matter the weather and season. Easy access for the disabled, children, and dog walkers. Clean restrooms available.

A beautiful walk in the woods that is close to home. Some of the trails were washed out due to the river being so high A great place to get some exercise

Nice easy walking, lots of shade, beautiful trees, great for walking dogs jogging, and bikes. Had some mosquito bites, but not bad overall.

Spacious, clean, not too crowded. My favorite park in the Eugene/Springfield area. I take my dog here almost daily. Swimming, tubing, hiking, biking, disc golfing, etc

I love this park. Especially on days where it’s really hot and you still want to hike and walk your dog. This trail has a lot of shade. such a beautiful view of both the river and forest

We love bringing our dog here! It is the perfect spot to drop some tubes into the river or to just take a walk on the surrounding trails. There is always good parking available and the trails are so nice!

Very nice waterfront. Folks walk down and get wet. Fish from the bank or just enjoy the view

There are public restrooms, an air frisbee thingy I have no idea what is called but you throw a disc from a certain point into a basket that's up in the air on a pole; from what I gather anyways... There is a nice trail that leads to Mill race path, or Dorris ranch, either direction is a very scenic view with either a river, or a pond next to you.; I even saw two people on horses while I was on the trails!
