This is one of my favorite places to go! I literally go almost every single day in the summertime and was swimming a lot.. (it is a lake, so the water doesn't look the cleanest, but on a super hot day, its a place to swim).. my boyfriend likes to do a lot of fishing here also...and one of the best benefits is there's usually not very many people, making it very relaxing and chill. It is dog friendly, as long as they are on a leash . And for all the pokemon go people, it has alot of stops. Lol.. The sunsets are beautiful.. hence the picture i posted! Family friendly place.

I've been by here several times on my way to the coast but this is the first time I was able to stop and explore. I wish I had taken the time sooner. It is so beautiful and peaceful.

This is one of my favorite places in town. Whether the water is up or down in the lake you get a whole different experience and both are worth the visit.

Peaceful, Serene, Quiet, Closed...but still a lovely place to walk, take photos of the Lichens, as they gently swayed in the frosty breezes of Winter. Fern Ridge Reservoir is currently empty, the channels in the bottom of the empty bed of water, have carved some very cool paths through the mud. Where there is normally water, there are places to walk, bird watch & listen to the sounds of nature. Fern Ridge isn't a place I go during the park open season, but during the cold of Winter, it's very nice, silent & not full of loud folks. I prefer it right now on a chilly day, especially when the Sun is out. My bestie & I packed a light lunch & sat at a picnic table. The Sun shone down upon us & kept us warm until it settled behind some trees, then it was time to go, as the frost of Winter started to come back for the evening.

We have Passed by this (from the road) little park many times on the way to the coast. However when you enter its quite large. Has Shelters, and barbeques and trails by the lake and places for you and your dog to wander (leash law enforced) has a camp host

It’s been closed to vehicular access for about 2 years. The gravel parking lot on Hwy 126 needs to be graded with a dozer to fill in the enormous water filled potholes. Watch your gear if you leave anything in your car and watch your a$$ when you try to leave the lot and drive onto the highway. Traffic zips by at speeds around 70 mph and does not slow…

Nice and relaxing place, specially in the week days when no many people visit.

Definitely not my favorite location for this lake, but not the worse lake either. There is lots of grass and tanks to have a picnic but the lake area is completely overthrown with grass so you can't really get in. Most the airline is Baidu rocks as well, so no getting to comfy right off the water. We prefer to drive a bit further for a better location by the water.

Looked like there’s a lot more weeds than usual and really dirty water.

The park was beautiful but the facilities were all closed. It appears the park is underfunded and or understaffed. It is far enough from town that the seclusion kept homeless camps at bay which are rampant in Eugene. If you just want a place to stretch your legs or walk your dog this place is ok.

Nice walk-around, beautiful nature watching! The grassy park is pleasant and the mud can be fun. Mid to late winter the mud is abundant but great for slogging through. Nothing amazing but a great walk nonetheless.

Beautiful. We went there close to sunset to check the place out. It's a huge park. What we seen was a beautiful park with a volleyball net/area to play, a small baseball area and a lot of grasmmm relax. Wish the outer parking lot was bigger and less sketchy. Also wish the gate was open more (I havent ever seen it open?) I would love to get together with family (during summer/ nice days) more, could be my go to spot. So much prettier than Richardson, I think.

Water can be lower depending on time of year. When parking is open there is a fee. There is a bathroom for use too. Please don't litter and respect the area.

I went here to float test my New build, I drag race FlatbottomV-Drive Boats...Perkins is a good boat ramp that's not that busy during the week....Fern Ridge is still a mucky lake but close to home....

Serene little swim hole nestled off to the side of hwy 126 heading west from Eugene. Ample parking BBQ set ups and park bench seating. Big beautiful trees providing lovely shade and a baseball diamond❤️

I've been going here since I was a small child and always enjoyed it. The place has seen better days but it's still a decent little spot to enjoy the lake. The concrete by the water is crumbling apart and there are chunks of it broken off in the water, so watch your toes! Parking is $5, to be paid at the kiosk located near the entrance. There is a boat ramp and trailer parking close to the entrance, as well as regular parking in three different areas throughout the park.

It was really empty when we went as they are on winter hours now, so we had to park outside of park so took our valuables with us. (October) But it was a nice, quiet time, dipping our feet in the water. The beach area is not cared for by the city, it seems; no trash per se, but chunks of old pier and road at water's edge, it's not really a beach. The picnic area was nice and there's several tables to choose from.

This place was the perfect place to unwind after a long day and watch the sun set.
