Clean bathrooms & showers! Exquisite environment! Access to the Sand Dunes!!! The place is amazing & reasonable price for full hook-ups to tent camping. Pics are of my campsite & Lake Cleowox & Dunes, about 10 minute easy walk. Enjoy 😉

Great place to visit just for the day, or if you're able to find a campsite tons to do at the park. Just outside of town of Florence. Nice to go camping and then go grab dinner in town if you don't feel like cooking that night. Very close to the beach. It will very quickly become your favorite place to schedule for the seasonal getaway.

From all I'm hearing and experiencing this State Park is in high demand much of the season..but as luck would have it, it's open all year round. There's plenty of time to get a taste of nature accompanied with all your modern conveniences like hot water, showers, restrooms, toilet paper and squeaky clean sites and accommodations... there's trails to lakes, dune's, and if the mood strikes you're 5 minutes from the town of Florence. Florence is a nice, clean town, quiet, and has everything ( except Starbucks) for whatever needs you have. Minutes away from your local grocery & gas station... movie theater or personalized family owned diner...you won't be disappointed.

Riding the dunes! We ride the dunes typically twice a month. Over the last few years we have stayed at Honeyman a few times. Nice campground with easy dune access. Can easily navigate a 40 ft toy hauler through the campground- no low branches or anything like that. We stayed in H loop!

Places to camp or picnic for the day. $5/day parking fee. Bathrooms are always clean. You can rent little kayaks, they usually have an assortment of life jackets by the little swimming area. My dad used to come here when he was a teenager, so he would bring my mom and I when I was a kid. Now, I'm bringing my little family!

Trees of Mystery is a roadside attraction located in Klamath, California, on U.S. Route 101, not far from the California/Oregon border. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its giant redwood trees, Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues, and its variety of attractions. Here are some interesting facts about Trees of Mystery: The park was founded in 1946 by John Detweiler, who was inspired by the beauty of the redwoods. The park's name comes from the many unusual tree formations found on the property, including the Cathedral Tree, the Brotherhood Tree, the Candelabra Tree, and the Elephant Tree. The park's Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues are the largest in the world. They are 50 feet tall and 30 feet wide, respectively. Trees of Mystery offers a variety of attractions, including hiking trails, a museum, a gift shop, and a variety of shows and exhibits. The park is open year-round, but the best time to visit is during the spring or fall, when the weather is mild. Redwood trees are the tallest and oldest living organisms on Earth. They can grow up to 300 feet tall and live for over 2,000 years. Redwood trees are found only along the Pacific Coast of North America, from southern Oregon to northern California. Redwood trees are important for the environment. They provide habitat for many different species of plants and animals, and they help to clean the air and water. Redwood trees are also a popular tourist destination, and they help to support the local economy. If you are looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, I recommend visiting Trees of Mystery. It is a great place to learn about redwood trees and to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Coast. Here are some additional tips for planning your visit to Trees of Mystery: The park is open from 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week. There is a $20 admission fee for adults, $15 for seniors, and $10 for children ages 6-12. Children under 5 are free. The park offers a variety of hiking trails, ranging from easy to challenging. The museum at Trees of Mystery has exhibits on the history of the redwoods, the local Native American tribes, and the park's attractions. The park also has a gift shop, a restaurant, and a variety of shows and exhibits. I hope you enjoy your visit to Trees of Mystery!

This is a pretty good Oregon State Park. Great spot if you’re an ATV or off-roader, or sand scooter person…. Or whatever they call those LOUD sand dune buggies now a-days. No Beach Access. Nice clean newly remodeled restrooms with free showers. No security and no personal at the gate. Anyone can come in and steal your stuff. We didn’t have any problems, but apparently it’s somewhat common as there are warnings posted. Nice welcome center with maps, information and friendly humans.

This is a good place to camp for big families or even a day trip to the lake. I only give 4 stars because when camping, I prefer fewer people, less noise and more nature. This campground is great for people new to camping. People who work and volunteer here are great. Lots of amenities. Showers! But it's HUGE, and that means LOTS of people. Some so close you can hear them talking like they're next to you. Plus, it's fairly close to the highway, so road noise is fairly consistent.

Outstanding spot. The F loop was very wooded and wonderful, spot 275 was outstanding and gave us a quick ish walk to the dunes, it isn’t close to the ocean but an amazing adventure. Great showers, bathrooms and an excellent spot for kids of all ages. Super close to excellent ATV rental.

I liked this place. It's a large campground and was full. We were camped immediately behind the kids playground, so there was much noise from kids doing what kids do. Not a bad thing. Lots of kids on bikes tearing around the campground - yay! Hiking was good. Showers were clean and well maintained. Lots of dogs. Typical of Oregon state parks, lots of campfires going at any given time. A couple of campers across the road serenaded is on banjo and guitar.

Otherwordly! Such a fun place to explore the dunes. Easy to get to, easy to navigate. Good signage, clean restrooms. You can buy a parking pass from an automated kiosk.

We've stayed here twice; once at T-giving 2021 and early summer 2023. Facilities are well maintained, playground, showers, nice camp sites with decent space between spots so you don't feel packed in. There are walking trails and a short jaunt to lake access / day use area. Close to town if you need supplies and other dune-related activities.

One of great spots for kids to play in dunes with a good picnic place in front of lake.

Honeyman use to be enjoyable. I went with my family over the weekend and was absolutely disappointed. 2 nights of people up screaming, fireworks going off to the point the ground was shaking. I will not be returning. Camping should be enjoyable not up all night listing to people fight, scream and yell all night. When brought up to staff was told they have had other complaints and they won't refund any of my money. Sad sad sad.

This is a beauty. Lots of lakes and sand dunes and trails and cool camp sites and people. And just S. of Florence, a bustling small city, makes Honeyman the best. On the negative side, bees can be really bothersome this time of year. If allergic, take appropriate steps to minimize risk. And as always, have fun! That's why you're there. Huge day use/ picnic area. Campers kids have awesome playground.

Stayed here in June with extended family over 4 campsites and rented the picnic ramada. We all came at different times over the weekend and the staff at the park was so helpful and patient with us! We rented a full hook up site (#15) for our 29 ft Class C with tow vehicle. Sites in this park tend to be very close to each other but some are more private than others due to the amount of vegetation. #15 and #47 were exactly back to back with just a log in between. Thankfully we had great neighbors. We also rented tent site #16 which had #49 and #51 right behind it. We also rented the yurt #17 which was pretty awesome. It was the most private site. It is dog-friendly. And we rented tent site #56 –there was a lot of brush between it and the yurt. All sites have a pavement pad, a dirt tent area, a picnic table and a fire pit. You can easily walk (3 minutes) from the registration check in to the dunes parking lot which is day use. The overnight camping permit includes day use fees at the dunes, Clearwox Lake and Whoahink Lake. Both lakes are gorgeous. Whoahink is known for being a great diving lake. There’s a diving course with things to see and the water is very clear. Weather for early June was perfect and not many mosquitoes. Starlink had a good signal even though there were lots of trees. Since this park is so huge, there are lots of different areas. The area is the back is near the OHV trail so there tended to be more trailers back there and it was much more open. The OHV trail at Honeyman is closed through the summer and so are some of the beaches to walking and dogs. There is a cool map that shows which areas are open to what activities. We were able to find beach access for the dogs to run off-leash that was separate from the OHV area.

Our family loves this campground! Great hiking trails to dunes, well maintained, fun playground, clean bathrooms/showers, fun day use area at lake. Some of the sites are very close together and some are great. Definitely is very crowded in the summer. We love coming here!

We loved our stay! Most camp sites have quite a bit of privacy with large trees and bushes in between. We stayed near the playground and welcome center. Our site was clean, quiet and very dark at night. The welcome center had firewood, ice, fire starter, maps, and cool information about the natural wildlife. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. There are many trails to ride long distances on bikes and even more for hiking. Many campers had 4wheelers and dune bikes to ride the many open sand dunes. There are two lakes nearby that are somewhat easy to access with a bit of walking or riding but well worth it. One lake is against the dunes which makes for shallow/lukewarm water play even in October. We saw birds, rabbits, chipmunks, and had an unfortunate few hours of dealing with termite swarms around our campsite. This campground and park is beautiful and peaceful!
