A community garden project somewhat tucked away but with great infrastructure and space. They have many community member volunteers and even ones from americorp. Certain days of the week they make a lunch for volunteers and anyone who needs it, vegan/buffet/community style. Everyone chips in to help some. They were planting peas and preparing garlic cloves when I was there a few weeks ago. They have plots of rows/beds and also green houses. Theres an opportunity to harvest your own with an anonymous check out system of weighing the goods you harvested and labeling what it was. It reminded me of the Homeless Garden Project in Santa Cruz but involving more people and maybe more space.

Such a great place to volunteer at. Spend some time in the sun and enjoy a locally grown meal prepared for you at the end. Highly recommend you check this place out to support your local community.

I took my Pre-K students on a field trip here-third year in a row. The kids, teachers, and parents love it! Wonderful volunteers and very inspiring work! I would recommend going as a family or individuals too to volunteer and enjoy a free, fresh, healthy meal at lunchtime.

I am going to to get as much product from them as my little food stamp budget will allow. At River Bend hospital on Thursdays 2:00-6:00pm I hope that is the correct times, if wondering remember the LTD emx in Springfield sucks at this point in time , I had to wait 40 minutes they're only using 2busses no Bus Rapid Transit. So use your car if you're able to, or plan accordingly until our leaders leave Trump alone and get some funds for LTD Do you hear me Defazzio??? Transportation czar,

I love to volunteer here. It's really nice and a great feeling knowing that the work I put in really helps out those in need.
