I’m 8 months pregnant and my partner and I wanted to have a nice dinner so went there during the day to book a table for later. We arrived at 7pm as per our reservation and it started. No tables available expected for the ones outside (we booked inside because of the cold). After a while a lady managed to find as a high table that we weren’t super happy to take because it’s a bit more uncomfortable giving that I’m 8 months pregnant. But I said it was ok and if we could reallocate to a normal one when available, she kindly agreed. 2 min later a guy kicked us out of the table saying there was someone waiting for it and we could sit outside (freezing cold) or wait at the bar, buy some drinks, and see if something comes up. I wasn’t drinking at 8 months pregnant and my partner was driving. No apologies, no effort to accommodate us…We left after 15 min still in shock… Not impressed.

The croc toast was a great start, the BBQ prawns & Kanagaroo skewers were a bit salty, however the sauce with the steak was too salty, I have high tolerance for salt and for me this was the equivalent of adding 1 table spoon when you were meant too put in 1/2 tea spoon of salt. The fish dish, the fish was well cooked but under seasoned, and paired with a highly acidic globe artichoke and fennel, which made no sense. Unfortunately, it's disappointing.

Sensational food and service, likely the best meal we have had all year. Every dish was outstanding and absolutely loved the focus on local produce and the incredibly delicious wines🍷 Our menu consisted of: • Kangaroo tartare with fried potato • Merimbula Oysters with fennel mignonette • Prawns with koji butter sauce • Fried globe artichoke burrata curd • Croc toast crocodile tail, sesame seed • Spanish Mackerel, spring vegetables, jus • Crumbed pork cutlet peas, garlic butter • Smokey pumpkin cashew, kale • Nectarine, cucumber, mint salad • Liquorice ice cream & blueberries Matt Stone is a legend! Absolutely amazing food and great service 👌 Caitlyn our server was knowledgeable and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was mouth watering and now I'm ruined to ever have another crumbed pork cutlet anywhere else! The Catch of the Day was Kingfish from the Tweed River and this was also delicious, oh and the King Prawns as the entree, a chefs kiss👨‍🍳, compliments to the Chef and all the staff today. You Beauty was so much more. 💫

It gets really dangerous when you have to do your laundry. But sooooooo worth it! Your senses will explode That burnt butter is phenomenal and that kingfish divine

I had an incredible lunch experience at You Beauty today. The menu where do I even start! A gorgeous selection of snacks to share, it was difficult to pick a highlight but the Kangaroo tartare and the deep fried artichokes were definite stand outs. And between the 3 of us, we shared the pork cutlet and fish of the day which was Spanish mackerel, sides were the pumpkin + nectarine green salad, all absolutely divine the produce, so FRESH!! We all walked away so satisfied and already planning our next visit. Thank you to all the wonderful staff that looked after us and made our special lunch one to remember…absolute legends!!

Great atmosphere and exciting dishes. Absolutely loved the croc toast, house salumi, snapper bite and the barbecued prawns. You don't want to miss out on eating here if you're visiting Bangalow!

After reading the reviews I was confused by some as the experience we had, the food and staff were all impeccable. It’s been a long time since every plate I’ve ordered has left me wanting more and more. Ordering two of one dish doesn’t happen often for us and we had the pleasure of ordering the same dish for another round just to celebrate the flavours .. honestly we could not get enough and are hugely impressed by how brilliant the entire experience was. Thank-you Matt and staff, we’ll be thinking of this evening for a long time!

Incredibly well executed dishes, well presented and flavourful. Over 15 + wines by the glass, all beautifully selected. Highlight was the salted snapper, which was light take on fish and chips. Amazing experience, highly recommended!

I thought we should give You Beauty another chance hoping our first visit was just a one-off bad experience but unfortunately tonight will be my last time. Our food was either strangely tasteless or had extremely unbalanced flavours. The Stracciatella which despite its colourful presentation was tasteless and overwhelmed by the sour pickled broad beans scattered on top- Unfortunately the crisp bread it was served with was more charcoal than bread and didn’t enhance the flavour. The fish of the day was served with a ‘salad’ of artichoke, fennel and carrot - All pickled, highly acidic and extremely sour. With the bland fish it was just bizarre. My husband had the crumbed pork chop and couldn’t finish it. Everything was served barely luke-warm, portions are tiny and everything is extremely expensive. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism because the fit out is great as well as the location - it could be a great place, but the menu really needs work. Also it would be great if you could serve your food hot.

Lovely fit out and staff were excellent. Food sounded more interesting than it was. Some items like bread seem way overpriced. Staffs knowledge of the wine was excellent and not judgemental when I said I was not a fan of natural wines. I've been here 3 or 4 times with very mixed outcomes. Sometimes the staff seem snobby and couldn't care less, other times they are super knowledgable and friendly. I think if you have such an eclectic menu, you need to have a few more choices. I'll be back but more because there is not much choice in Bangalow, not because I love it.

You’re definitely no beauty sorry…..Jeez wish I’d checked these reviews before going…..steak and chips salty as, and $22 for 2 prawns a bit steep like the rest of the offerings. Odd menu of over priced snacks with no sides like salads, veggies, potatoes or chips. The service was lacklustre at best, my wine order was ignored by a too cool for school waitress and we were passed up for a young customer the wait staff obviously knew when we went to pay..…oh and on top of this they tried to over charge us a for an extra wine. 1st and last time we grace your establishment I’m afraid, can’t see you guys being around for long in such a competitive region filled with genuinely good restaurants….

Cosy little restaurant, a little loud initially,food was interesting,from a small menu.. Shared the space with 4 other friends who had different and varying opinions. Staff service was adequate.

We had a selection of small plates paired with an Italian Nebbiolo. The food was local and creative. The wine was fine. The music was eclectic but loud at times. The service was friendly, helpful and very competent.

Definitely steer you towards this establishment, it is absolutely banging. From ambience, service to food. We are well versed in the industry, been everywhere far and wide. You beauty is without a doubt up there with the most highly regarded and the best of the best. We will salivate over dinner last night till the end of time. Thank you
