To start with, Bangalow is a very nice small town, well worth a visit on it's own but, if you do not stop and participate by having one of the Best Pies you will ever taste, it won't be my fault, please go to the Bangalow Bread Shop, the variety of different pies is fantastic, I had a Beef, Cheese and Macaroni, the pastry just beautiful and pie was totally full, no air space like most pies that you pay $6-00 for and to add to this, they are all made on the premises, you can actually watch these and other pastries being made through the glass window inside. The average price is $7-20 but well worth it. There is seating inside and outside seating on the footpath, so you can sit back and enjoy your coffee and pie or cake.They close at 3pm, I will be going back when next in Bangalow. Colin

Update. Three years after my first review of this joint & it's still going strong. Great for a quick snack or lunch with the best coffee. Great selection of pastries, sambos etc. Try the spinach & cheese roll. Congratulations on your new business! The new bakery is a vast improvement on tired old Choux Choux with a slick fitout featuring hardwood tables and a windowed ‘aquarium’ room where you can watch the baker at work. Coffee is competitive in Bangalow and their Old Quarter SE Asian blend is excellent. This is a quick counter style bakery so dont expect table service or Butcher Baker quality (with the big price tag). The only negative is the lack of hand sanitiser. I couldnt stop my daughter playing with the excellent toy section but worried about Covid. All the touching of plates, cash, tpys and tables made me want a quick sanitise before & after eating. I’ll be a regular here for sure.

This place is popular, so get here early so you can get what you want! The lamington was fluffy and tasty, but the lemon coconut meringue slice was simply divine... It had the best parts from a lemon meringue pie and coconut macaroon and the most amazing crust. Highly highly recommend this place.

Spent a few days on a farm in Binna Burra with some friends, who happened upon Bangalow Bread Co. in the nearby town of Bangalow for some breakfast pastries one morning. This inspired another friend to return later in the day in search of lemon tarts. There were none left by then, but she did walk out with a lemon curd cheesecake which was a more than competent backup option. For someone who doesn’t go much for cheesecakes, I thoroughly enjoyed my slice and may have gone for some seconds 😁 The almond-filled croissant from the morning run was also a bit of a highlight, with an oozy filling which reminded me of what I ate at Darvella. Bookmarked for the next time I’m in this part of NSW.

My favourite bakery on the Northern Rivers! These guys obviously put a lot of love into their products and it shows, everything from the pastries to the pies are a step above. Very fair prices for the quality and consistency. Obviously run by passionate and creative bakers as there’s always something new and delicious looking on display. Keep up the great work and thank you for bringing those cookies into my life!

The best pies we have every tasted paired with macadamia milk cappuccino. Highly recommended.

Great place, went multiple times and never had any complaints. Good coffee, great pies and sandwiches, bread is always fresh, absolutely recommend going there!

Lots of bread varieties! Anzac biscuit delicious. Also bought a lemon scroll with icing on the top that was shoved into just a brown paper bag and the icing got all messed up, would recommend supplying some cardboard boxes to be more suitable for those sort of items.

Great piece and sweet treats here. Had the two Indian pie options veg and non veg. Both were excellent. Full of flavour. The meat was cooked really well, as were the chickpeas dal concoction. Plenty of other options to choose from plus drinks/coffee. Some seating inside but not masses and tbh more a takeaway or short sit down rather than a leisurely affair. I’d be back for more pie. My kids will be back for more brownies

Quality food and bread, no doubt. All products are made in store and you can taste it. While prices are at the higher end of the scale, they are justified. For example, a pie from this store tastes like it was made with care and love. The sourdough too is rustic and has a texture that cannot be replicated in supermarkets or other lesser bakeries.

Made a quick pit stop in Bangalow and came here. Had a fantastic slow cooker chunky steak, chorizo, cheese & jalapeno pie - delicious.
