I am a local photographer for "Diamond Memories" in Eureka and this is my #1 favorite place to do photoshoots in the redwoods! It is so beautiful yet is very easy to get around. Just feet from the main road, you are transported in time! It's amazing

Love this park, you can drive around in a very short period, but once you walk inside it looks so much bigger, and beautiful, I could spend all day in there walking through the trees and not get tired of it. Outside the forest area, there's a big playground for the kiddos too. There's such beauty all around, I highly recommend it if you're ever in the area!!!

Wow what a great stroll through a forest with some MaFfIs trees. If your every lookin to have a good time them hit up this park. We saw plenty of animals including ducks, turtles, donkeys, and a couple more. Super cool tree house things and stuff. Not as good as mine but it'll do

Amazing Park, concrete paved trails that are wide. There are some bumps in the concrete, but overall, it's very well maintained! Must see! They have picnic areas (some reservation) Barbeque pits Playground Trails for walking/running

Love this park, almost can say its my backyard. About a 5 minute walk from where I live and I have a grove of redwoods, beautiful trails, duck pond, fountain, a Zoo. Highly recommend seeing the lights they have up right now in the evening. Creates a very beautiful scene on the trail behind the zoo, and its free. (The trail behind the Zoo, Zoo costs and skywalk costs for admission)

Nice trail around the park, easy to moderate but well maintained. Fun to walk around the duck pond and see the bridges in the trees from below. Dog friendly!

Such a great spot to take your loved ones. Not only is the park very unique, but the backside of this park has a forest with the biggest trees you've ever seen. Beautiful park, definitely a must see..

Beautiful park, good to visit after zoo trip. Also a must visit if you can’t make it out to the larger redwood parks. Stay on the designated trails to avoid difficult to navigate paths. Lots of parking available in various parts of the park. Don’t feed the ducks. This park can not be accessed while in the zoo.

This park is so beautiful, big, welcoming and literally has something for every type in the family, and room for every one in the family too. From swings and slides, to gorgeous trails for walking and bicycling, to creeks, nature hikes and birthday parties!! Stunning setting.

This is always a great place to stop, especially with kids. There is a nice park in front of the Sequoia forest that the kids can play on before they wander into redwood greatness. What I enjoy about this park is that you wouldn’t think the redwoods would be so close in Eureka, but neighborhoods, a zoo and a school surround this amazing sequoia park. We had relatives that met us there and they were only able spend 15-20 minutes in the park before they had to leave to catch their plane. This is another important factor to me because their Airbnb was about 5 minutes away and they had no idea this existed. With a quick trip to the Sequoia Park they were able to get a quick taste of what the redwoods was like (they are from the Midwest). We will always come back to this park while we are in the area because it’s so peaceful and quick to access when you’re in the Eureka area.

Parking: free. Either on the city street around the park, lots of spots, other in lot inside park near pond (as of Nov 5, 2023 that lots closed). Amazing, huge park in the middle of city. If you go to the zoo you can check out the sky walk over the park. Or for free you can walk on the ground. Enormous trees, the park isn't flat, it's very hilly, just going below grade of the neighborhood. The parks is like a rainforest, very dark, moist. A must see for anyone in Eureka.

Wonderful place to take the family, the playground was great, kept the kids busy for a couple hours. Hiking in the trees was amazing! Kids got more exercise and adventuring done there.

Great walking loop and trails for novice or experienced hikers. Lovely pond with fish, turtles and ducks. Breathtaking views and a hidden giant fairy garden off a skinny trail good luck finding the sturdy village! There are historic plaques and great spots to sit. The park was just update with a new climbing wall and playground. Plenty of spaces to picnic and bring a date or family.

Road through park was closed so that made for an easy walk to the duck pond not having to worry about cars zipping through. Very clean and everyone walking dogs had them on a leash and were friendly. I wish I had more time to spend there. It was beautiful.

Absolutely stunning. Wonderful park to stroll with loved ones, walk your dog(s), take a run, have a picnic, or play on the playground. There's so many things to do here. I highly recommend this park 5 all ages.

Our family loves Sequoia park! Huge space where you can run, walk, play on equipment, walk through the trees, or stroll through the zoo. Can't wait to go back for the skywalk again!

Beautiful park centrally located in Eureka, CA. There's a playground, duck pond, lots of hiking trails and fun place to explore. This is a huge park, always something new to see. Well preserved nature setting, feels just like the forest in it's original form.

This park and zoo are very old, the zoo being the oldest in California. The garden is very pretty with its collection of dahlias, and a nice place to stroll, free of charge. (The zoo part has a fee.)

Celebrated another birthday here today. Kids can run free and play. We had a great time as always.

Big, fenced in area located right next door to Sequoia Zoo. Lots for the kiddos to do. Our toddler had more fun here than he did at the zoo, tbh. Something for toddlers and adolescents, right across from a school. It felt safe, was clean, and appeared to be well maintained.

Peaceful and spiritual. A place where you can smell fresh clean air. Walking through the redwoods are amazing! The skywalk is awesome. Perfect for picture taking, too. What a great experience!! Thank you for doing this.

It's a beautiful park for the children it has structures for younger and oldre kids. It has a slide set on a tree! I loved that there is also trails into the the redwoods. I gave four stars because one of the structures has a step with the metal sticking out which is not safe for kids. Other than that it is a beautiful playground.

I absolutely loved it here!! There were a lot of dogs while I was there .. everyone on the trail used leashes ( not in playground though..dog off leash with family throwing ball) I wondered all over it was amazing beautiful esp right in the middle of the city!! The lake and babbling brooks were such a bonus!!
