Highly recommended. If you only have time for ONE trail to experience the magnificent of coastal redwood forest, do this one. Tall original growth coastal redwoods on top, tan oaks as lower canopy, with magnificent native Rhododendron just above your head and lush carpet of ferns spreading on and on. Easy access to the parking lot by small vehicles, trails are relatively wide and flat but can be very muddy since this area is constantly enclosed by thick fogs. And, no pets.

I did this hike first thing during the morning and it was well worth it since you get to see it all by yourself and it only takes 30 minutes to an hour to see everything at your own pace! The hike was pretty easy and definitely worth visiting! Highly recommend it!

In my opinion, this is one of the most magical rainforests on earth. I came at the perfect time. Fog in this grove is wild. This has been one of my favorite places since I was kid. I can't say enough about this beauty and the photos speak for themselves. *The drive up to the grove is very steep and long for such an incline. My car did not like it much, so be warned. The parking lot is small and in high demand. I was lucky when I arrived at 10am, because it was almost full. When I left at noon, people were circling. There are restrooms in the parking lot. The paths are wide, smooth and well maintained. This is a short walk with a gentle slope/grade. Depending on your level of mobility, I would say this is pretty accessible compared to most outdoor parks of this sort. **PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE This is a national park and prestine. Read the signs, follow the rules. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED! Have some respect for this forest. And if you can't do that, I don't know why you're here, but do it for visitors who want an uninterrupted visit. There are thousands of parks that allow dogs, go there. Dogs bark. Dogs poop. Dog dig holes and kick up dirt. Dogs pee. Dogs fight with other dogs if other disrespectal visitors are present. Owners are audibly scolding undisciplined dogs. Leave your dogs at home or in the car. Enjoy the time you visit, don't take it for granted. We don't know how long this will exist. To wrap it up, I highly recommend anyone and everyone to venture off 101 and experience this magnificent wonder of the world. It's the best presentation of the redwoods that Northern California is known for.

This was an absolutely gorgeous walk. It meanders through the foggy redwoods and lets you get close enough to really appreciate them. It was truly a majestic walk back in time.

Such a beautiful grove that includes Old Growth. I did the short 1.5 mile loop and it was a well maintained trail with plenty of sights to see. What I enjoy about this grove is that the road to get here is inaccessible for buses and RVs so you don't get the humongous crowds you'd get at the other groves.

This place is amazing! It is about a mile and a half hike, pretty flat, with so many massive redwoods. Plenty of parking and there are benches and information along the way. Short drive from route 101 and I can’t recommend it enough. Rain or shine, it is breathtaking.

A perfect family hike. The trail is an easy one-mile loop through the grove along an old logging road. Our family could have easily completed the loop in a half hour, but we took our time meandering among the majestic trees, and enjoying this magical environment. At the time of our visit, my wife was in a walking boot, and she had no trouble with the trail.

Lady Bird grove is not as "grand" as some of the other groves in the area. While the tree's here are tall, they are not as large as you would expect. Not to say it is till not impressive to see, just not as grand as a stop such as founder grove. The hike is not hard and offers a good loop to be out among the trees. The parking lot will come up on you quick as you climb the mountain so be aware of people entering and leaving.

Easy 1.5 mile trail, mostly flat. Good for families with small children and a "warm up" for more experienced hikers. Large redwoods. Interactive ( app) trail, but I chose not to use the electronics here.

Beautiful scenery, absolutely stunning. Get there early as the parking gets taken up pretty quickly. It's about a 30ish min hike depending on your speed. There're are two bathrooms, plenty of 5g signal since there is virtual tours. Highly recommend and I'd go back there again.

Great to visit if you want to go to Redwood but not do any hiking or anything too physical . The parking lot gets full but people come and go quite frequently. It's an easy walk (normal shoes are fine) and you can certainly find yourself in a totally silent section. Well worth a visit and I spent about an hour here.

Love this trail. This was a great trail that really is entry level. Wish the state of California would take better care of state/national park roads, better at parking, and why push reservations and lock trails unless you pay? Also, poor signage is a problem.

This trail is easy and beautiful. The quiet and serenity is unmatched. It was beautiful in fog and rain, however if you want the most beautiful sun rays coming through the trees, come on a sunnier day than we did.

Every visitor should take this short stroll among the Old Growth Redwoods that inspired the founding of the National Park. The enormity of these giant redwood trees is truly humbling and the experience will bring tears to your eyes. So quiet, so peaceful, and so awe inspiring.

This grove was spectacular. Every single large redwood (so, like all of them) felt like the biggest redwood I've ever seen. I was awestruck by the absolute size of these. The hike is an easy one, not much elevation change. My wife and I just went to the Lady Bird dedication site and back to the parkinglot and I think it was a mile or so total. Definitely recommend this as a stop.

Easy hike with well maintained trails. Large old growth redwoods with easy access for less hard-core hikers. President Nixon did something good!

An easy hike with some of the most rewarding views you could ever ask for! The parking lot is tiny and fills up fast, so the earlier in the day you can get here, the better off you're going to be

An incredible trail not to be missed. Can be hiked by most as the trail is well maintained and not difficult. Amazing walk in the redwoods.

1st this isn't a dog friendly trail. It was a great trail for all hiker levels. So majestic to see the ancient with the new growth. Beautiful 😍

Amazing redwood Grove. Absolutely beautiful, and the road in as well. A must-visit in the Redwoods, and if you come in the morning you might even be able to catch sun rays.

Really nice trail, be aware how difficult it is to get parking. We did a trail nearby then came back and got lucky to find one spot open, the lot is small and you can’t park on the side of the road. The trail is lush with large redwoods everywhere you look. It was worth the effort to get to.

Easy, unpaved, trail with markers describing the various trees. Several great picture opportunities. Would be good for families with young kids, those with limited mobility, and those short on time. 1.5 miles, 1 hour. Pit toilets. Limited parking. As far as I can tell, you can come to this trail without checking in or paying anything. At least the way we came.

This trail is magical. I recommend going early in the morning when the sun shines through the most in the trees. The path is generally very flat and not too long but there are so many beautiful trees to see. It's a nice little escape in the redwoods! Very much worth a stop!
