Hoping to see birds here. Nothing special perhaps it is a wrong time. The visitor center was closed on Memorial Day, so we could not get any information.

A beautiful clean beach to go and walk along. This beach has very big waves. There is a restroom at the parking area.

Gorgeous views, calm and peaceful waters, and a chance to see some elk. Most people drive through these lagoons to visit other state parks, but have you ever stopped and taken a walk along the sand bar between the lagoon and the ocean? There are places to picnic, kayak, and explore in these gorgeous lagoons (yep, lagoons, not just lagoon). GO see for yourself how beautiful it is here. Each lagoon is different and has its own unique beauty.

My daughter and I ran the Dry Lagoon trail out to Stone Lagoon and back...and explored some side trails an the way back. The trails are a little overgrown, but they don't distract from the beautiful vistas.

Love this area for 11 years have found so many semi precious stones and sand dollars. Its beautiful. Please do not turn your back on ocean. Local folks have died even when I was on the beach trying to save a dog or family member. I am still here... as I am cautious. Do not have fear be aware

Amazing big trees in Humboldt. We visited in Dec on rainy day and it was beautiful to feel alive again.

Very nice park, little beachfront and some camping.

There is nothing that could be bad about the three beaches I went to. Stone lagoon, dry lagoon and finally big lagoon. Lots of pretty rocks and driftwood.

Love this place if you're ever in the area. Just stop on by the sun. Rises and sunsets are beautiful agates all over the place. Of course you got to look but it is all around a great place. Not the best for fishing, at least with my experiences, but if you're going by this place I'd definitely recommend stopping by

I really enjoyed the beach here. We saw a seal bodysurfing the waves near the shore, a couple dolphins in the distance, a sea lion swimming, and lots of pelicans. It wasn't too windy either. Parking is limited and we saw the state park rangers leaving after having given tickets to a few cars who weren't in official parking spots. There are two pit toilets which were not the best, but not the worst.

Stayed there in February, Cold inside cabin, no functional heat. These cabins are great if you stay there in the warm weather months... be sure to bring lots of bedding. Rough it

Love hiking here. Trails are overgrown but didn’t stop us, it’s all still very navigable.

Camped out at one of the sites. It was fun. The trail in was absolutely overgrown. Not recommended. Get a kayak or boat it week be more pleasant. Many trees down on the trail ( dozens)

We took a detour on our way to Sue Meg, sad to see this State Park needs a little love. Like most of our coastline it's beautiful, but travel further North or South if you need anything accessible. There is a disabled parking space, but not sure why.

Mostly undeveloped stretch of hwy 101 with few access points which are in poor condition. Beautiful environment with lots of water and remote beaches. Closed at night.

This place is great, I love it. There is so much to appreciate about the whole area with a serene natural beauty and many surprises along the beaches and some inland as well.

Gorgeous, sublime set of lagoons. These were taken in Stone Lagoon. Just a bit south of glamorous Orick.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I am a local flying dress photographer for "Diamond Memories" in Eureka and I absolutely love shooting and spending time at Moonstone Beach. It is gorgeous and is often full of families and dogs. Lots of rocks to play on and caves to explore. You often see people repelling or surfing as well!
