This gym really lost a lot of life once it became a fitness cf. no more guest passes are kinda crazy. I’m guessing most positive reviews are from people who never attended golds gym here. But yeah the commercialization really just took away more features if anything. No more cardio theater. The improvements are quite minimal and not really anything other than the sign changing. Basically they’re just charging more for less. Edit 1: the attempt to discredit my statements by claiming I’ve never been a member is quite sad and should be taken as the club acknowledging the points I’ve made carry some weight. The odd need to flex about a huge investment when in reality the gym itself was ultimately not that changed after rebranding. In fact I remember on socials the claim “same gym new name” being used. Also the guest pass claim is cope. Memberships used to offer the ability to bring a new guest each time with an exchange of their information which was phased out and the prices increased along with the couples membership taking the place. Instead of trying to discredit you can actually acknowledge the short comings of this establishment. I’d say value for money you’re better off going with planet fitness black card.

Classic gym, has a lot of perks and equipment. I don't have many complaints except the water. All the fountains taste and smell like some water from Flint Michigan. Same with the showers but even worse like sewage water. Conveniently they sell a ton if beverages for a good chunk of $$. You can't move things around without getting yelled at such as a stepping stool out of the squat rack room. Staff generally don't care and lack professionalism. It's also a hassle getting equipment from the front desk.

I have been a member over 1 year. Been weightlifting over 20 years. This is the best gym I have ever been part of. They are constantly re investing in new equipment. I love using the Sauna and the facilities are always clean. A staff member once gave me a hard time for squatting without shoes on. I was upset for a little because it’s the only way I can squat pain free. However , they were just doing their job and they are very reasonable. The price is incredible for what you are getting. My wife does CrossFit at another gym and it’s fun to go from time to time, but FitnessCF has almost all of the same equipment for a fraction of the price. I highly recommend FitnessCF Mount Dora , the place is tremendous and has every piece of equipment I could ever need. Thank you Fitness CF!

I love the actual club and it's conveniently located for me, but to charge what they charge, even their cheapest membership is more than Planet Fitness and can't have a guest. As a single lady, that makes me very uncomfortable. I don't think I should have to pay 70 a month for a couples membership to bring my 14 yr old son with me things are too expensive right now to spend that kind of money every month. I'm sure I'm not the only lady or there that feels that way and if they change the guest situation, I don't mind paying the 35 a month to have a guest with me, plus that's how you get new customers!

Really nice gym however when it gets crowded, it gets really crowded. For me that’s OK because they have a ladies room that is normally only about half full and has everything that I need. Absolutely love finishing by sitting in the sauna.

I love it here. There is a plethora of equipment and space. That's the best part. Sometimes you have to adjust your program because some area is slammed but there's enough that you can move on to something just as important. The new squat racks are awesome. I love the sauna, the locker rooms and the ladies area. Loads of different cardio machines - for when I can force myself onto them. :) LaToya, the employee who takes care of everything basically, is so gosh darn kind and welcoming. Sweet lighting. It's a good vibe here. Just writing this makes me super stoked for my session in the morning.

Staff is very careful about keeping the gym clean and they are also very helpful and friendly. I enjoy the yoga classes and using the equipment to stay in shape.

I love the classes they offer at Mt. Dora CF. They have a great knowledgeable staff and good equipment. It's always clean and the trainers are always helpful. The kiddie gym is excellent also. Love Evette and her heart for the littles.

Great gym! Love this place and the staff is most of the time pretty fantastic!! The biggest downside is the amount of times equipment is out of order and the longevity that it’s out of order. Other than that, the locker rooms are clean, the saunas and clean, and they have just about any machine you can think of. I don’t go to classes but they’re always packed and hear great things about the teachers. Oh! The ladies room… THE BEST PART! It’s nice having a private section where men can’t stare at you. It’s just a nice touch for a gym to have a place where ladies can feel comfortable working out.

Everything about this place has been great over the years, this is my first time back since ownership change. Staff is really sweet and respectful, answered all of my questions and concerns with clarity. My only hang up is that I wish I could bring my 13 year old son or a guest from time to time to work-out with me without a bunch of added extra costs.

I'm in this area for a week or two at a time every couple months for work, but I wish my home gym was this good. CF fitness has a weekly pass that isn't an unreasonable price. There's enough equipment so that you're never waiting for anything. It's very clean, including the bathrooms. And Justin at the front desk is extremely friendly and helpful, some of the best customer service of any gym I've been to.

Gym equipment is great, would give 5 stars but the stipulations for the free day pass should be somewhere on the website as well as the price for a single day pass that way the public will know to bring proof of residency or how much they will be paying for a single day. Also the one day pass price is fairly steep at 15 dollars a day. Other than that excellent gym with a good vibe and great shops.

I use Natalie as my trainer. She is always willing to help with quick questions. The staff is amazing. Front desk as well. They have child care most of the day. Child care staff is great. It's always clean in the child area. The rest of the gym is always clean. They offer cleaning wet whipes to whipe down machines. They have a ladies only area for anyone interested.

If you ever have an issue don't bother bringing it to the attention of anyone at the front desk. My problem is every time I go in the men's room someone's on there phone recording ticktok snapchat and today someone was walking around on a video call I dont want to be on your camera bro. Went to the front desk dude was like no that's fine.

I love this place. Great friendly people and awesome instructors. Clean and even when it's busy it don't look crowded as it's so big and roomy.

I have been a Fitness CF member since moving to the Mount Dora area. Great value. More weights than any gym I have ever been to, plus so many cardio machines you never have to wait. And if you have any issues they will get back to you promptly.

Solid gym. A lot of equipment. Bathrooms and showers are always clean, mainly thanks to their hardest worker, Jordan. Kid never stops. Would definitely like to see heavier dumbbells. Will say it has turned into a high school hangout spot lately…
