We stayed here because it was close to a family members wedding venue. I've stayed in worse places but I've also stayed in much better places. Read 1 star reviews that will sum up your stay. >The room smelled like it was cleaned with 5 gallons of bleach. >Room phone doesn't work. >Once the bleach smell wore off the room smelled like cigarettes. >The pullout bed had no sheets, blankets, or pillows. >There was no spare bedding in the room. >The exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn't work so doesn't expect to use the mirror after a shower. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES...you can't really beat the location but there is no hot tub. No vending machines. The ice machines don't work well. Lots of chipped paint. A large live spider in my room...scary. Worst part, I am disabled and they have no king size beds for disabled rooms and the handicap rooms are small. Not really handicap worthy. The front desk person told us first that they ran out of king handicap rooms, then said that they don't have any king handicap rooms at all. They ended up giving us a Queen Suite with a roll in shower. I was not impressed. It needs a ton of updates. For a comfort inn its not really comfortable. The best thing about the rooms were the TOWELS! Also, tried the breakfast and the best thing was the WATER. Someone smokes Reggie in the hotel and leaves the blunt paper in the elevator phone compartment (it's white owls) like I stated I'm disabled so I know Mary Jane well. My parents stayed in another room and they locked them out of the room saying that it was only booked for one night instead of two, but the price was for two nights. Basically, the hotel entered stuff in wrong so they ended up letting them back in the room. We booked these rooms months in advance. This was ridiculous we won't be there again!

Stay in comfort suites exclusively. The hotel appears nice. Once to the 5th floor and to my room, it stinks of urine and must. Had to spray body spray in my room. Air at 69 still damp and musty. 🤢

Just checked in yesterday, already feels like home. Very nice accommodations, friendly staff with great attitudes, very nice breakfast, nice view from 5th floor facing the lake and perfect location. I will definitely be staying with this hotel again whenever in town! I highly recommend! Conclusion: Well I've stayed 6 nights now and I'm leaving today, everything I've stated I stand behind. Staff was amazing, room was very comfortable, breakfast was great and price was unbeatable for what you get.

First room smelled like mold and mildew. Second room overwhelming smell of Fabulouso, guess that's better than the first. Hallway was always super warm and had a funk. Breakfast was basic but filling. Luckily we were only in town for the weekend for our Uncle's funeral, and this was the closest place to their place in Tavares. Had to wash all my clothes, even the clean ones once I got home, everything smelled like mold and was fabulous! 😉 NOT

Stopped here for a night. It was comfortable and quite pleasant. The ambient humidity in the hotel seemed a little high but I slept comfortably. I’d stay here again.

The room was very clean. Even though we were on the 5th floor and we parked in the back parking lot we had easy access to the building due to a back door that was conveniently located there. They offered a hot breakfast along with a good variety of juices and coffee. 👍👍

How do I start. Walked in and no one at the desk to check in. I’m not the only one waiting as another person also arrives. Finally a guy shows up. Takes an unusual amount of time for him to get me a room even though I reserved two weeks ago. Finally we get to our room and the key cards will not work. Had to go back down to get them fixed. Surprisingly the other customer hadn’t even been waited on yet. Apparently the guy at the desk left her hanging. Also I had asked, when reserving, for a room on the top floor. Nope didn’t get that. As far as the room goes it’s very musty. The Wifi is worthless. Basic email won’t download. Decided to watch some TV but guess what? No HDTV! Really, it’s 2023 not 1995. Problem is I’m stuck here for a week. We’ll see if things improve.

I am definitely going back! The service was excellent. The rooms were great extremely clean, the beds were fantastic. The breakfast amazing! I was able to relax and enjoy myself. Thank you!

Room was under expectations. Had a moldy smell to it, visibly cheaply repaired in multiple areas, door to room had been kicked in at one point and not replaced but glued back together. Breakfast varied alot by the day depending on who was setting it up. Hot items were cold it was just off. The front desk staff however were all extremely friendly and helpful, greated people every time they walked in and made you feel welcomed.

I've stayed here several times and have had great experiences each time. Rooms were clean, service was good. They've improved their breakfast options as well. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews on this place unless I'm getting lucky with these rooms lol

Bed was comfy, room was clean, staff was AWESOME. Unfortunately, the TV by the bed wasn't working correctly with the remove provided, the AC did not cool well, AND the AC soaked the carpet on the entire side of the bed. This made the humidity of the room almost unbearable.

I did not expect this to be a 5 start high end hotel. However, this was repulsive. I went to get into bed and there was blood on the sheets. As I was looking at the blood there was also a full set of strip eyelash extensions laying on the ground next to a vape that wasn’t mine so clearly never vacuumed. Went to the front desk and they gave me a new room. Switched rooms. Open the mini fridge, and it’s got other people’s garbage and red stuff melted all over. The TV doesn’t work. And let’s not forget the dead roach. If you are clean, don’t stay here.

Super clean hotel, and it seems that they have remodeled it. The personel was very nice. There is a housekeeper who takes pride in what she does, but I didn't get her name.
