Myself, my mother, aunt, and uncle stayed here for 5 nights to help my elderly grandparents who live nearby. Staff was friendly. Employees kept the breakfast area clean as best they could after messy guests. Housekeeping did a nice job (be sure to ask for daily cleaning at check in). However the same sheets (there were telltale stains on both sets) were on our bed for our 5 night stay when there’s a sign in the bathroom that says sheets will be changed after 3 days. Overall, I travel away from home 3 days a week for work so I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years. While having perfectly lovely staff, this hotel was disgusting and needs major renovations. Paint and carpeting looked new but tub was gross with cracked caulking everywhere and I did my best to not touch the shower curtain. Our room smelled disgustingly of must and mold and nothing made it better. I understand it’s a humid area and there’s a lovely little pond next to the property but there were ants all over inside the room and my mother stepped on a little black worm near the sink one morning. My uncle said his room smelled strongly of bleach. We will be staying elsewhere next time we visit. Pros: nice staff, free quick breakfast (as long as you aren’t waiting behind a group of kids making waffles) with limited options, fairly comfortable beds, good restaurant/bar next door Cons: persistent smells in rooms and hallways, needs updating, tubs are awful, bugs in rooms

I don't even know where to start. I'll just stick with the room. I went here with my sister n law to attend the Arts festival. Walking into the room everything looks good. I have no sense of smell except for moldy and mildewy things can overwhelm my senses. When you look at the ceiling you can see where they sprayed over the mold. There were bugs coming the vanity sink. The water in the shower was cold and there was no water pressure. They advertised a hot breakfast which was 1 waffle iron for you to make your own waffle and microwave breakfast burritos. Let's not even mention the horrid customer service. The morning staff was indifferent to me when I got there even though they had treated my white sister n law differently before I arrived. The gentleman in the afternoon was much more friendlier.

My friend & I booked this for 2 nights. Arrived to room & as usual when we travel, we checked the bathroom first. There was feces splattered all over the toilet… really!!! Went down to desk & requested another room. Bathroom was ok. Pulled down comforter checking for bed bugs & noted the sheets had not been changed as there was an indentation of a person still on the sheet & pubic hairs all over the sheet. Returned to front desk, refund & left!!!!! Never again

The room was hot and carpet was damp upon entering. It was a non smoking room but definitely smelled like it had been smoked in. The toilet was not mounted to the floor well and was unstable. Sand in the shower and an M&M on the floor indicated poor cleaning. Live German roaches crawling on the TV console at night. We brought it to the front desks attention and they said "thanks we will check on it." We will not be back and would advise everyone to steer clear. Room 106 on 5/21/22.

This place in nasty, first room I walked in immediately saw 2 cockroaches and one dead one, went to complain she put us in a suite guess what another cockroach, went down to get my money back. Stayed at Hampton Inn down the street was beautiful clean, no roaches. Please don't waste your time or money going here.

I recently stayed at the Quality Inn, and to be honest, it was anything but Quality. I can't recall the last time I left a two-star review, but this experience left me with no choice. Upon entering my room, the first thing that caught my attention was the A/C unit, which emitted a constant mildew smell. I tried adjusting the settings, but it persisted throughout my stay, making the room quite unbearable. The woes didn't end there, though. Upon trying to take a shower there was the shower faucet itself. It looked like it had seen better days, and I couldn't help but wonder if it had ever been cleaned properly. It was so grimy that I half-expected to need a tetanus shot after merely touching it.I gazed upward and spotted what appeared to be black mold on the ceiling. The sight was not only unsightly but also deeply concerning for my health. The room had a generally damp feeling, particularly the rug, which never seemed to dry properly. It was an unsettling experience walking around on that perpetually moist surface. To add to my discomfort, there were tiny gnat-like bugs crawling around the nightstand and sink/vanity area. It was a constant battle to keep them at bay and ensure they didn't find their way into my belongings. Calling the front desk only provided the standard unempathetic apology and that the housekeeping crew would 'look into it.' I can't emphasize enough how this experience was in stark contrast to the name "Quality Inn" would suggest. Corporate should definitely drop by on a surprise visit and get this place up to a better standard. All in all, my stay was subpar at best, and I wouldn't recommend this particular Quality Inn to anyone seeking a comfortable and clean place to stay near Mount Dora/Eustis area. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving the conditions of their rooms. If only I had checked more recent reviews, I could've saved myself from this headache.

My Cousin and Aunt stayed here. The room had mold and smelled moldy. It had not been cleaned before we got there. The pool had green stuff growing in it. There was barely any chlorine smell. And pop bottles floating in the pool. The air conditioner had dust and mold growing on the top of it. And no one ever cleaned the room until the day we left. It was gross!!! I will never ever stay there or have my relatives stay there again!!!!!!

This was, by far, one of the most disgusting properties I have even stayed at. The only thing that brought us here, was other hotels in the area were full. This was all that was left. $139.00 a night for this trashy run down, disgustingly filthy hotel room. We arrived to find the room door ajar. We should have not even gone in but it was late and after a day of travelling, left us little to no choice. We found bugs, filth, odor, run down fixtures, old coffee left in the maker, filthy sheets, and I don't know how to describe that bathroom!!! I will NEVER stay in another "Quality Inn" as this was definitely NOT quality.

My wife and I received a two night stay at this location for the nights following our wedding. The first night was pleasant, but at 8:00 pm on the second night of our stay, our plans fell through for our service dog who was accompanying us on our wedding trip, forcing her to stay with us for the night. After explaining to the staff that it’s our wedding night and we just want to sleep in the room until 6:00 am the next morning (when we planned to make the drive back home which is 12+ hours) but we had to have the SERVICE ANIMAL in the room for just a few hours, the hotel OWNER kicked us out, forcing us to pack all of our luggage, in the dark, on our wedding night, WITH NO REFUND OR OTHER COMPENSATION. Mind you, our service animal is an 8 pound cavapoo who is trained to help my wife with panic attacks triggered by current & past trauma. The staff recommended that we “keep the dog in the car while you sleep in the room for a few hours”. (This is animal negligence aka really illegal) I do not recommend this place. Especially not for anyone trying to experience anything remotely magical, wonderful or “Quality” Thank you, have a nice day. (Which won’t happen if you stay at this hotel)

This is an old-school hotel that's been totally redone to high standards. The property that it's on includes 2 gazebos that go out from a dock onto a small lake. It is magical at night. I highly recommend sitting out there and feeling the breeze. The rooms are well appointed and clean. With modern decor and furniture, including bedding, that looks high-end and feels that way also. At the time of this posting, I was honestly shocked at what a good value the per night rate was ... especially compared to the other local competitions, higher rates that I had checked out for that evening. I ended up canceling another hotel reservation and going back and renting a room for one more night because it was such a good rate, and I really enjoyed my previous stay. It's rare for me to say that I can, with high confidence, recommend that you will enjoy this facility and encourage you to give it a try. I will be back for sure. I encourage the staff to keep up the great work AT Quality Inn Suites Mount Dora North.

Room had cracked walls with holes, rusty light fixtures, dirty black shower floor, dirty streaked shower walls, foul shower-head, dirty air conditioner, sticky remote control, and smelled spongy. I 100% regret booking with them and will never stay there again, and absolutely do NOT recommend.

Cleanest and best hotel in town! I stayed here with my family and the service was amazing. Staff really cares about ensuring the guests are comfortable and safe! Improvements have been made since the last time I stayed and I'm loving it. Location was beautiful. Breakfast included hot waffles, coffee, yogurt, and the burritos are great too!

Dirtiest room I stayed in during 4 consecutive months of travel. There was a pair of women's blue underwear behind the toilet, a chunk of bad food in the bottom of the fridge, looked like the old carpet hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, bits of lord-knows-whay under the edge of the bed... i could go on but I will say this, the clerk at the desk was absolutely WONDERFUL. He'd only been there a week or so and was helpful, friendly, and even offered to help with luggage.

My 83 year old Brother in law needed a room on the 31 of October Evidently, Mt Dora had an event going on and charged him as if he were with the event. 245.00 dollars for a room that the phones didn't even work. Again, he was not with the event. We went back, and the receptionist said nothing could be done about it. BEWARE! It's not your high-end hotel by any means. When we were leaving, lobby we saw a small baggie of white powder at the front door. Beware of Mt Dora, not so quaility inn

All in all, it was nice. However, dusty rooms and a sink that doesn't drain is NO FUN! Breakfast was Meh, as it is only muffins and frozen burritos. But they are very conveniently located near may eateries. I would come again.

This is Our Go To Place. Great views, Clean rooms, Good continental breakfast. Great Service. Perfect location between Down town Eustis. Lake County's hidden gem. And Mount Dora. Far enough away from traffic and frey. But next to Walmart, Target, Ross, TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby anything you need and Pizza, Chinese or Chicken places. You really cannot ask for more. It's a few more dollars than other local hotels but worth it!!!

The rooms are nice & laid out well with couch w/ king bed. I did find an old bra in between bed / night stand. Bed was a bit too hard. I would stay again though. Pool was very clean & lake with dock is beautiful . Next time we will get room facing lake with balcony. They kept everything full at free breakfast & offer alot of options.

The room in which I stayed was perfectly fine, no leaks, no bugs. Prices were affordable, it's probably one of the cheapest rooms you can find in the area. The reason why my experience here was so poor was because of one employee in particular, and I think her name is Kelly. All I tried to ask her was "Do you allow pets?", which should've been a simple yes or no question, but she decides to start accusing me of something I had absolutely no intentions of doing whatsoever. Because her answer was no, she then kept pushing on me that she was going to "keep an eye on me", "We've had people break this rule before". Guilty until proven innocent, I see. What an extremely discourteous and ill-mannered individual, I realize working in customer service is poison to the spirit, but why take it out on anyone and everyone? Especially if they're just unsure about your rules, and all they're doing is asking about your policies? If your demeanor is really that miserable and your attitude that off-putting, then why bother showing up and clocking in? You don't have to work directly with the general public if your social skills are that abysmal. She also told me all about how their property is equipped with security cameras, but I'll tell you what: you can meticulously and obsessively scan over every last second of your security footage, you won't ever see me bringing my pets in, you vile crone, but go ahead and keep accusing people of crimes they've never committed, I'm sure your disastrous approach to interacting with customers will eventually provoke someone to label you as something far worse than what I've said here. My actual review is a 0/5. I realize there are other employees working at this location, so if you do room here, I hope your experience with them is better than the mind-numbingly degrading fiasco I endured. The only reason why I didn't book anywhere else was because I was homeless at the time and couldn't afford anything else. To the woman who made my stay here far worse than it ever needed to be, I genuinely wonder how you're able to justify such rampantly toxic behavior.

Unless you love bed bugs and poorly cleaned rooms, avoid the Mount Dora Quality Inn at all costs. My room was infested with bed bugs. I was given a 25% discount at checkout, but I think that was a bad deal considering the sheer number of bites (over 50) and the amount of blood I lost in the process. On the plus side, the refrigerator and microwave both worked. Further minuses: My room was a non-smoking room but still had a lingering smell of stale cigarettes. It looked like it was long overdue for a thorough scrubbing as well as new carpeting. There were cobwebs in the corner above the window. The hot part of the so-called hot breakfast was coffee and instant oatmeal packets. Nothing looked appealing, so I heated up something from the grocery store in my room's microwave. The check-out clerk said he would call the usual exterminator. I told him that he should fire that exterminator for failing so badly and hire a new one. Optimally, the owner should incinerate all the beds and bedding, strip out the carpet, tent the whole hotel to kill any remaining bed bugs, and then fully clean each room before putting in new carpeting and beds. Until the place is properly cleaned up and debugged, I strongly suggest finding a different hotel. Quality Inn is a brand of Choice Hotels. I have repeatedly asked Choice Hotels support to arrange to provide: 1. An inspection report from Lake County or the State of Florida confirming that the Mount Dora Quality Inn is completely free from bed bugs. 2. Photos of the inside of the room I stayed in showing what it looks like after being properly cleaned. The "Customer Care Advocates" who work there had no interest in seeing that this was done. Instead, they offered me 8000 Choice Hotel reward points (worth about $48) as compensation. One also said that all Choice Hotels are individually owned franchises. I told them that if Choice Hotels can't even get an inspection report and photos of the inside of the room, I can't trust that any hotel in their chain will be clean and safe.

I wish I could attach my pictures. Front door bolt was busted off. Back door had a bolt but the door did not fit frame therefore very easy to force entry. The carpet was very spotted and dirty. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom. Apparently it took 3 attempts to hang the shower curtain. All 3 attempts remained in place. The sofa in the suite area looked like a party of adults may have happened on it. The sink was dirty. The refrigerator eventually after several attempts turned on. Internet did not work in our building. So it was a place to be when all other options were booked and short notice. The staff: They were very welcoming and nice. The beds: They actually were very clean and comfortable. The location: Perfect for our needs.....Altamonte to Tavares, FL areas. I think this hotel was the premier hotel in the area back in the day. It has great potential but it needs so much work. I hope they can do it.

Room smelled horribly of mold, on the first night we had to ask for fresh sheets because the bed sheets were stained and had cigarette burns (we were in a non smoking room). When someone came to service the room they put the filthy sheets BACK on to the bed, and they didnt give us new towels. The door latch was broken, luckily the door had a lock on it. And we were charged more for 2 of the days we stayed here. Would not recommend staying here.

I give this 2 stars mainly because of cleanliness. There was black mold behind the bathroom sink and popcorn in the corner of the room. One of the lights were busted. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was nice and shower hot.

Great place to stay!! Manager is fantastic, terrific!! He runs a busy place with grace, kind words, and smiles. Only issue was the Lady in Office has a very bad, rough, grouchy attitude; snapped at several guests in line for breakfast both mornings, as if she didn't want to be bothered and the guests should have already known where items were located and what to do even though they had never stayed there before. Upon checking out, I asked the manager if this "lady" was seriously ill/sick as a possible reason for why she was so mean and nasty. He said "no". Hmmmm (??) She DOES NOT fit in with the REST of the staff, as they were all nice, accommodating, and pleasant, and made our stay very comfortable & well worth it!! I won't hesitate to stay there again though, as it's a beautiful place and very nice hotel. I will just ignore the witch and maybe say a few prayers for her. Don't hesitate to book a room and relax a bit, you will enjoy it.
