Awesome hidden gem in West Seattle. I had no idea this existed. Beautiful trees all around, a creek, and cool trails. Do the easy hike end be surprised by wooden sculptures ❀

I come to this park almost everyday. There are tons of hidden paths that are super fun to explore. The best this about this park is the way that you are in the middle of a neighborhood but you don’t even realize it. Whenever I am in the park I feel like I am exploring untouched land and it so peaceful to just sit on a log and listen to the world around you

This is a hidden gem in West Seattle. A wonderful nature walk that makes you feel transported to a mountain trail. While the trails aren't marked well, it is not hard to stay on track (and even if you get a bit lost, you're likely not far from where you need to go).

This little forest tucked away in the middle of West Seattle is a treasure. Free parking all around. Access to Alki. A perfect place to "lose your mind and find your soul". Enjoy with respect.

It's kinda short walking, it took us about 1h to finish. A good place to enjoy nature!

Great place to escape inside the city! Very few people on the trails, those I saw where trail runners or walkers. Small creek runs through. Great natural space inside west seattle. If there is not parking at the entrance they do allow parking on the bridge!

Not a super big park but has a few trails in the ravine, quiet and seclusive, great to take a hike. There are different trailheads and I took the one on SW Hinds St in, SW Stevens St out. It's not hard to navigate in the park since all trails are going almost the same direction.

Quaint nature park with a couple miles of trails hidden in a residential area. No parking lot but plenty of street parking around various entry points. Trails are wet and muddy as they go through a ravine but boardwalks and bridges help you get over the worst of it.

A nice little park. Walking, hiking area tucked away in the middle of West Seattle. A couple of well beaten trails, with a few muddy spots, and mostly tree covered. The main trail leads to Alki beach. There's a small stream that runs through the park, which is wonderful to listen to. Parking is street only. Enjoy!

I'm returning to Schmitz Park today, after nearly 15 years. This used to practically be my second home in high school. I knew every side trail, every log crossing, every twist and bend in the creek. Much has changed since then, but I can still find my way around. It's just as cool of a spot now as it was then! Old growth forest in the middle of the urban sprawl.

The trails are not marked but it is ready to orient onrself. The bridge was broken today, so we found alternate trails including one with stepping rocks across the little creek. Beautiful tall trees

A very nice short hike. Steep hills but wonderful. I had to walk through some mud, but I’m sure it will dry up soon. Great for dogs but beat to keep them on leash. This is a well used place for hiking and running. I’ve never seen bikes, but I have seen tire tracks.

Gorgeous slice of native plant paradise right smack in the middle of West Seattle! I LOVE visiting this park for nature walks and birding. Great atmosphere, and quite safe even in the evenings. A little creek runs though the park that’s fun to dip feet in. There is also a pair of resident owls that live here, listen for them if you visit!

Not a biker friendly lay out, there has been trees down across most of the trails since spring. However if it's close to you definitely a nice run or walk, it does tend to get rutted out during the rainy season.

Even in drizzly cold this park is a total treat to walk through. I'm so glad Seattle has these parks that are like tiny little portals to much more verdant places here in the PNW. This park doesn't have a good street entrance, so you may have to scout a little to find a place for your transportation.

Great lil park. Once you go in, it feels like you're in the middle of the Olympic peninsula. Not too aggressive of a train and had a small creek in between. It is quite small, so i wouldn't go out of the way to come here but if you're around or want to walk your dog, it's a solid choice.

Remarkable wild like park, quite quiet soon off the main street and with a good climb up to a view of the Sound. Peaceful, dogs walking happily.

Beautiful little primeval place with trails and streams and miniature falls suitable for Barbie. Parking at this entrance is on the street.

This is a little hidden jem of a hike in the middle of the city. Tucked in a little neighborhood, but somehow makes you feel like you're in the cascades. Great hike when you need some nature but don't have all day to drive out of the city. Only drawbacks are that it isn't a loop and the trails aren't always maintained.

Beautiful park, with multiple trails to choose from. I loved crossing all the bridges throughout the park.
