By far the best and most authentic Punjabi (North Indian, Pakistani) fare in Seattle metro area. Quality/taste consistent with the Renton location. Each preparation has its own distinct flavor, (unlike in a run of the mill restaurant - orange gravy paneer, orange gravy chicken, orange gravy kofta, etc). Highly recommend. Don't mind some of the other patrons complaining about sweetish tasting biryani. This is Awadhi style biryani. Some sweetness is part of Awadhi biryani's character. It is *very* different from Hyderabadi biryani, which does not have sweetness.

This is an update to originally posted review (see below). The owner - Mr. Shan was very responsive and took the review positively. He took time to discuss, tried to understand the concerns raised promised to work on the issues raised. We had ordered recently and definitely see the improvements in all aspects - taste, food portions etc. It exceeded our expectations. Leaving the old review and responses as is. ---------------[ OLD REVIEW]--------------------------------- We used to be regulars visitors of this place but since pandemic started we took take outs many times and it wasn’t up to the expectations. Portions have reduced to smaller sizes and quality also not consistent. Compared to price you pay the portion size doesn’t do any justice. Their goat biryani and Haleem used to be best but now sometime rice is very dry and haleem also not as before. Hope owner looks into it.

Good tasting food with perfect serving sizes. Biryani was just right. Haleem was spicy and the kabab’s were excellent. A must visit place for halal food. What we ordered: - Goat Biryani - Haleem - kabab

First time tried Naan and Curry restaurant upon a friend's suggestion. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Dum Biriyani, Lamb Biriyani and Naans. My kids usually love naans and butter chicken or chicken tikka masala. But they didn't enjoy the tikka masala. Because it tastes very sweet and buttery. This is first time my kids left naans and chicken curry without eating. We tried Biriyani. Biriyani is sweet in taste with zafran, Khevra water /rose water. The rice is not basmati rice at all. The biriyani is like mix of rice and chicken pieces, but no dum or spicy flavors what we expect in biriyani. If you are expecting spicy or great flavored dum biriyani, then its not a good choice. But if you don't want spicy and expecting something Lucknow style biriyani from North India, then you will enjoy. The cost is more and they don't give raitha or mirchi ka salan on the side for biriyani.

No dine-in. Realized only after reaching there. So we had to take out food. Taste was not great. Good customer service.

The service was FASTTT and very friendly. Lamb Biryani and Chicken Karahi with naan is more than enough for 2 people. BIG portion of Biryani. They make their food flavourful and not spicy

Not for vegetarians, we order paneer curry and naan, both were not good. Curry was very plain with just paneer pieces.

Changing the rating back as I see significant changes... One of the most authentic place for people who appreciate Indian cuisine, even though the owner is not Indian ,but the place is worth visit and has became our de facto place for eating the non vegetarian food. There is in general a good wait , especially if you are in a troop of 6+ The owner is not a friendly person , but that is offset by the delicacies he serves

Flavors are good, too bad they are the most expensive Indian place around with smaller portions as well. Expect to pay extra for rice?!? And now the chutneys too

What a great discovery of authentic and delicious Pakistani / Indian dishes! We were in the area and stopped at Naan N Curry for a quick take out lunch. Located in a strip mall, it was easy to find with lots of parking in front. Currently offering delivery and carry out only, their set up was efficient and well organized. Chato the server was pleasant and helpful in making recommendations as it was our first time there. We decided on Karela Masala (from the vegetarian specials menu), Vegetable Dumm Biryani, sesame & regular naan and iced chai teas. After a short wait for our order, we drove to nearby Gilman Village and ate in the car since it was a bit cool outside. First off, the house iced chai tea was refreshing and the best I’ve had in awhile. So yummy! Then we plated up and dug in to the main dishes. Wow, talk about a flavor burst! Everything was made from scratch and the aroma from the fresh ground spices and simmering dishes was wonderful. Each bite was a delight and it was easy to keep refilling our plates. Our selections worked well together and the portions were generous enough for another meal later. I consider Naan N Curry a real find and we’ll be back again to try other dishes. Hopefully they will begin serving in the restaurant in the near future. We’d love to bring friends!

Naan n curry has the best vegetarian biriyani in the Seattle area. The saffron flavor makes all the difference. The caramelised onions are yummy, but wish there were more of it. It is definitely worth a 20 min drive each way to pick it up.

On time order, OK taste... not so good, Too much oil, less quantity and high price. It was a surprise for me that they don't change the spice level.

I ordered the chicken biryani , chicken tikka kebab and vegetable pakora. The rice and flavors of the chicken biryani were delicious. It’s not the typical biryani taste we usually get around the Bellevue Redmond area. The chicken tikka and the chicken in the biryani however were okay and not that delicious. The vegetable pakora and the chutneys with it were amazing though. They should have an additional menu option of bone in chicken biryani instead of just boneless.

THE BEST FOOD!!! I will literally crave this place! Everything that I have tried has been absolutely delicious. They also use high quality take-out containers - I live 1 hour away and my food is still hot when I get home - huge bonus!! Do not hesitate to try this restaurant - you will not be disappointed!

Best Indian / Pakistani food I’ve had since I moved here in Seattle!!! I ordered Garlic naan, Lamb Nihari, Achari Boti and Saffron rice. All of these were delicious and extremely flavorful. The garlic naan was extremely soft. The spice level was moderate. Now coming to the experience, I went on a Saturday afternoon without reservations. But got a table immediately. The service was super quick and they also recommended the combination of food which I found really helpful. Portion size was appropriate and the pricing was decent for the taste and the quantity. They also have good amount of parking space in front of the restaurant. Overall highly recommended and I’d love to visit again.

Naan-N-Curry is hands down the best Indian/Pakistani restaurant in WA and perhaps the US The food is authentic, good portions , lots of options for vegetarians. The Naan is super fresh and tasty , and don’t miss the world class Biryani Of course to top it off they have an excellent service with Shawn and his crew looking after each customer.

Went for dinner, the place seems okay to sit down. The atmosphere is good and clean but the tables were put very nearby hence little bit less privacy. Anyways once we were seated we ordered chicken sheek kebab for appetizer and mango lassi for drink. It came with mint chutney and tamarind chutney. It was tasty appetizer with mint chutney, the one one was too sweet for my liking. After that we ordered chicken Briyani and chicken curry for main course. The curry didn’t come with rice which was a disappointment cause usually entrees come with rice, how else are we supposed to eat the curry just drink it 🤷🏻‍♀️ In order to just upsell the customers they have strategy to sell things as extra items so we had to order the Raita and naan for extra price which seem bit ridiculous cause which restaurant offers raita (yogurt) for 4.99$ 😳 anyways coming to taste of food. Both were delicious but not so spicy, we requested both dishes to be extra spicy but it was bland for my palette nevertheless decent tasty food. The bill came up to 75$ for all this, one time worth try

Simply the best. They grind their own masalas - and that is evident from the taste. I order every week and have never been disappointed. If you want to taste the true authentic flavors of rural Punjab that will transport you to a village setting in Gujranwala :-), I highly recommend this place. They do not have any comparison in my opinion - the masalas used in the other Indian restaurants are different and do not even come close to the quality and freshness of naan and curry. The owner is very courteous and helpful - very genuine hospitality - kudos and much appreciated This place is a gem, a truly rare find

Being in the USA, although I keep missing India's good restaurant food once in a while, I would say Vegetarian Dum Biryani at Naan n Curry with a side of Raita is so delicious that now I feel that I never had any Biryani close to this one even in India. My husband is a great fan of the Chicken Dum Biryani too. Finally, to put the cherry on the cake, they also use an appropriate amount of spice alongside with all the correct ingredients, thereby making it appealing both to folks who like high or low spice levels. The only piece of recommendation for improvement for them is to chop the vegetable/chicken pieces that they put in the Biryani into smaller sizes than the current.

If you crave Biryani.. this place is it! The traditional sun biryani is perfect. The flavors, aroma all done well. Spice level is accurate but if you prefer spicier please let them know. The restaurant as of Saturday 07/15 was having a AC issue and thus it was warmer inside. Servers were great. The two page menu is just perfect not confusing you with a lot of options. For the starters we ordered a achari chicken and it blew my mind - juicy, soft and tender and full of flavors. Highly recommended. I didn’t like the gulab jaamun though - it was overly warmed and hot when served and a bit too sweet. Highly recommend the raita with the biryani. Will definitely come back. Cheers.

I went with my wife for dinner and had fun eating delicious Pakistani food.  Excellent service and soothing traditional music. We didn't had a reservation but they still welcome us. I strongly recommend the Naan N Curry Issaquah location.

In this pandemic, this is probably the only resturant or any establishment that has established an unique and effective Covid safety protocols. We ordered their most popular specials - Dumm Biryani! . This is a pakistan style biryani where the Biryani had great flavors, not very spicy and the chicken was soft and moist and the rice was equally flavorful. These are usually served with Raita and Salad but we did not either of these! I love Karela (bitter melon) and this was the first time in my life I have seen it been prepared with Ground Lamb. Karela Keema where the Karela did not lose its bitter flavor and paired perfectly with the ground lamb. A bit oily than expected but it tasted amazing! Their Covid protocols was perfect! There are signs which lead to you pathway to the pick up counter and then there are signs that take you out of the resturant through a different door.

I have been a regular visitor to Naan-n-curry for ages at Renton. During Covid, that branch unfortunately had to be closed for dine-in and only allows takeaways. After that I found the Naan N Curry at Issaquah. The taste and the quality of service are amazing here too. The must have here are mutton biryani, Haleem and Mango Lassi. The Malai boti that we had was also really soft and tender. This is probably the best place for biryani ever in the world. Also amazing to know that you get Haleem all through the year at this place.

I was at Naan N Curry restaurant in Issaquah with great family friends. From the get go, I was sure the choice of this restaurant by my friend would not go wrong. Not surprised to test close to authentic Pakistani Indian fusion delicacies, accompanied by above, and beyond service by Jesus, who served us the entire duration, we were there. I can’t wait to have a second chance to test variety of their delicacies.

The cheese tofu curry is outstanding. It goes great with naan. The lamb rice is a bit salty but still flavorful. Dipping Chicken tandoori in 3 different sauces give it depths. The desserts are alright.

  • 5/5 Neo X. 2 years ago on Google
This place has great chicken tikka masala very rich and creamy. The naans are generally pretty good as well. I have also tried their lamb and chicken biryani which is great too. Spicy's always medium, I usually add a Thai chili when I'm eating it for some extra kick. They also great at takeout. I guess the only thing that's changed recently is when you order Briyani you've got to buy your condiments separately. Must be new. By the way this is a good place for some good food.

Title: A Delightful Culinary Journey at Naan n Curry in Issaquah, WA Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I recently had the pleasure of dining at Naan n Curry in Issaquah, WA, and I must say that it was an absolute treat for the senses. The restaurant exceeded my expectations with its delectable menu and cozy ambiance. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a memorable dining experience. The culinary adventure began with the lamb kheema, and I was instantly captivated by the rich aroma and flavors. The meat was perfectly spiced, offering a delightful balance of savory and aromatic spices that tantalized my taste buds. The dish showcased the expertise of the chefs at Naan n Curry, as the lamb was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent. Next, I savored the chicken boti, which was a true highlight of the meal. The chicken was expertly marinated and grilled to perfection. Each bite was bursting with flavors that made my taste buds dance with joy. The tenderness of the chicken combined with the aromatic spices created a harmonious symphony of taste that left me craving for more. The lamb chops were another exceptional dish that left a lasting impression. The meat was incredibly tender and practically fell off the bone with each bite. The marinade was carefully crafted, allowing the spices to infuse deeply into the meat, resulting in a burst of flavors that left me speechless. Last but not least, the tandoori chicken was a true delight. The vibrant red color and smoky aroma immediately caught my attention. The chicken was juicy and had a delightful charred exterior, which added a wonderful depth of flavor. It was a true testament to the mastery of the traditional tandoor cooking technique. Naan n Curry also impressed me with its inviting indoor seating. The warm and cozy atmosphere enhanced the overall dining experience, making it a perfect place to unwind and enjoy a fantastic meal. The attentive and friendly staff added to the charm of the restaurant, ensuring that every aspect of my visit was memorable. In conclusion, Naan n Curry in Issaquah, WA, is a hidden gem that truly deserves recognition. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or simply looking to explore new flavors, Naan n Curry is an absolute must-visit.

Dine-in is back! Absolutely stunning dining room renovation made for an elevated lunch experience. We ordered Tikka Masala, Dumm Biryani with chicken, garlic naan, and a mango lassi. Everything was delicious (the rice with the biryani was probably our favorite), and the portion sizes were perfect. Family friendly touches were appreciated- our daughter loved the coloring pages!

We ordered vegetable pakora and paneer tikka masala. The size of the pakora was too too small, the smallest pakora I have had in any restaurant. There was no filling at all. The paneer tikka was also not that great, the gravy has no taste.

I have 4 stars because they need to provide true information on google. It says it’s open till 9 pm on Saturday. We arrived at 7:54 and they did not let us have a table since the kitchen was closing. I think 8:30-8:45 would still be acceptable but not an hour before the closing time. Food is delicious. Loved their chicken biryani, naan, Lahori fish fry, seekh kabob. Must try is biryani. Service is quick and restaurant is pretty lit and looks upscale.

5 stars for the ambience, staff and service. It’s a great place for nan and curry, we ordered garlic naan and it was great, kebabs were great too. Only thing a little disappointing was the biriyani, but I definitely recommend trying their naans and kebabs.

Outstanding. We've been struggling to find good Indian/Pakistani in the Seattle area until now, the food is very authentic. The lamb/chicken biriyani were delicious, the lamb chops were probably the star of the show though! The only area of slight disappointment were the naan's which didn't have the usual charcoal flavour, but they were still good. We'll be back again and again!

Reliably good and authentic Pakistani food every single time. This is my family’s favorite restaurant, and reminds me of my nano’s food every time I eat there. We always get the balti gosht w/ lamb, chicken malai boti, chicken dumm biryani, and naan.

One of the few restaurants with authentic taste but it comes at PRICE , price of food , price of time, price of attitude. We used to go frequently (at least 1-2 times a week) prior to pandemic , then took a break and after few months started ordering online. I was so surprised to see the food qty in parcel was 60-70% of regular dine in service and also compared to our earlier take outs. Tried to speak to staff earlier couple of times about the reduced take out qty and they sincerely apologize and stuff, but now its becoming an habit and also the huge and unpredictable pick up time , even if they say order is ready in 30-45 minutes its safe to assume it would be delayed by additional 15-20 minutes. The Biryani is their best offering , but in take out we found that sometimes (typically if you order early) all you get is white/yellow rice with no signs of meat. Tried once to speak to the owner , while he very active on internet responding to review, in person he is one with very high attitude. The 3 stars are for the gone by days. Hope they improve and take suggestions positively Bottomline

It’s good food but portion sizes are small , little expansive food . I guess it depends on area expansive to run restaurant in Issaquah (rent , salary etc ). Overall good food but paying 75-80 dollars for 2 person dinner with tip .

The food quality has gone down drastically in last one year, used to rate it highly for it's North Indian/Pakistani food, not anymore. Here is summary of dishes I ordered, and the reason for rating it so low 1. Chicken tikka - Was flavourless, only tasted turmeric and salt, guess it wasn't marinated for long. 2. Butter Chicken - Seems they mixed chicken tikka and tomato basil soup, and added some sugar to it. It was the worst butter chicken that I ever had. Kids didn't finish it, and they hated the dish they like. 3. Karahi Ghost - It didn't taste great, and was on sweeter side. Guess lamb wasn't cooked with gravy and was added just before serving. 4. Chicken biryani - Wasn't up to the mark, it tasted as if it has been reheated and served. Not planning to revisit again, felt bed that I suggested it to my friends over other Indian restaurant they preferred.
