If you have a choice/options this facility should be at the very end of your list. False advertising a 100%. They do not treat you like family, cook food the way you'd like it, treat their patients with respect or love human beings at all! Our mother was placed in the facility in 2018 recovering from a fractured hip and had just been diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia. My brothers and I would visit her on a regular basis and find her in soiled pants that were dried and stuck to her body, they wouldn't clean her room or give her a shower for days. There were ants in her room and soiled sheets on her bed numerous times. One night my brother went to take her to dinner after they finally cleaned her room and they left the floors wet, she fell in her bathroom and broke her other hip so bad that it was a complete hip replacement with wires wrapped around her joints to keep the new hip replacement intact. After that she got a small scratch on her hand that they put a bandaid over that turned into celluloses and she nearly had her hand amputated due to the lack of care. She soon refused to eat the disgusting food and we couldn't blame her, she was malnourished. The ER doctors told us we should report Richmond Beach rehab for the lack of care that was surrendered to our mother. She went into Richmond Beach in 2018 weighing close to 180lbs and left in 2019 weighing 98lbs. We had a meeting with the staff (head of nursing, head of kitchen, and social worker) all the staff would say to our concerns was that's not in our budget we can't do anything about that or that's another department's responsibility. The head of nursing actually yelled at me for being overly concerned about my mother's wellbeing. When it came time to get her moved to a AFH the staff was dragging their feet and couldn't be bothered with paperwork, all we heard was you'll have to talk to another staff member and so on. We finally got her out of that place this year 2019 and she's doing better. We called the state and they have launched a investigation into the facility. No one should have to live like a dog in the pound, no one should have to endure what our mother did. We do have to say there are a handful of good nurses who really care and go the extra mile.

Delivered an order from McDonald's on UberEats to a person here, and wasn't notified of the current Covid outbreak going on since 4/18/2022. Reported to the incident response team at UberEats because food delivery shouldn't be going to known Covid hotspots. Extreme negligence on customer's behalf to endanger me when my fiance is going through a lot of medical issues due to a work accident in 2020. I have the unit number of the person who ordered if the center would like to reach out to me. After calling the center: very rude receptionist. Claimed no active outbreak. Claimed any customer can place food orders from there. Do not put anyone you love or know into this rehab center. They will never get better.

Do not go here for rehab, they dont have trained physical therapists. My mom was sent there and they were horrible. Funny i mention she's her to get her legs strengthen and moving again after surgery then go back to apartment. Late one night someone ran in her room pushed her on the floor. I think theyre guaranteed she not going home. Theyre collect beds not part timers. Theyre filthy my mom got uti from the aids being lazy. Theyre suppose use the plastic wash basin for cleaning up patience. they swish wash cloth in dirty sink. I think its horrible back of the building gets their meals served late. They dont give them enough time to eat. I was sitting there, one person brought meal at 6:27pm Another person picking up trays at 6:35. I told them she just got it leave. Almost got in argument about it. Dont count on the administrator she care less about your complaints. Workers didnt like my mom, so the had chance get even with her. Me my sister showed up at dinner time. Im few door down i see aid run in room so we hurried too. Thought something wrong with my mom , got in there just in time see aid shut curtain at next bed. I was horified! The lady in next bed died as punish my mom they left her staring at her for last 5 or 6 hours. And made her eat her dinner while seeing that. Their excuse theyre waiting on funeral home. The beds in the rooms are opposite. They ran shut curtains because we showed up. They are horrible people there mostly Ethiopians. Only 2 of the Ethiopians were good. And few others. But that cant change much when 90% are bad. Nursing homes need better inspections. If you have someone in nursing home spend 7 or 8 hours 4 times a week make sure theyre doing it right. They have bad security side door unlocked 24/7.

I see why they are so short-staffed. This is not a well-stocked facility. Expect to bring your own vitals equipment because they either don't provide you with any or theirs is faulty. Linens are always in short supply so you'll have to walk the entire facility looking for them. They need to buy more linens or do the laundry more often and there is no plastic baga for briefs abd dirty linens. The nurses are unhelpful because they're also extremely busy. The charting system they use here is also awful. You have to stand and chart at one if the few touchscreens. There are times when you have to wait for another CNA to finish charting and it resets the second your shift ends. They pay well compared to other facilities but they don't give you the tools you need. I am not recommended this place.

My mother, a hospice patient, passed away at this nursing home. The staff were very caring and supportive. I was able to stay in the room with my mother until her final day. No facility is perfect, but I will say, compared to some of the other homes I've been to, without question this facility was superior to the others. At no time did I have a negative experience. I was given all the support I needed at a very difficult time in my life.

As someone with high expectations, and who is highly engaged with the care of my mother, I was 100% satisfied — and grateful! — for all the compassionate, professional care shown my mother over the last two weeks. She came in pretty low and dispirited, and very much in need of rehab. Her statement to me was that she became re-acquainted with trying while there, and that she feels stronger and ready to move on. I heartily endorse the team of people who looked after my mother — all the way up to the business office even. Every person I encountered at Richmond Beach was stellar, and had my mom’s best interests at heart. And in the middle of the pandemic no less!!!!!!

My mother Lidiya moved to Richmond Beach long term facility at the end of 2016. Beside that the location of Richmond Beach Rehab and nursing home is ideal to our family home, we are so happy with the quality of care for my mother including all very professional nurses and staff, their kind attitude to every individual who is the resident there. It is not only my view, my whole family and friends see this place as a very good home for any person in need. Thank you Richmond Beach Rehab and nursing home! I will give it 5 stars review. My Mothers not so Amazing Richmond Beach Rehabilitation experience. Getting the call that my 91-year-old mother had fallen and had fractured her hip was one of the worst Christmas presents I have ever received. Following a successful hip replacement and 4-day hospital stay. She was transferred to Richmond Beach Rehabilitation center in Shoreline Washington. She chose this facility because it was close to her home, church and community. What a mistake that was. I gladly would have paid cab/uber fare for any neighbor, parishioner or friend to come visit her at a proper rehabilitation facility had I know what lay ahead. To begin with she was housed or stored in a single room, made into a double room (shared sink! single commode) and that is not all she shared. Praise be for a drape. As the room was on the fringe of the memory care, she shared a great deal of things with the unfortunates’ that have no clue as to wait is happening. Medicare use to pay for 99 days of recovery for this type of event. Now it is up to the Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) to be the gate keeper of our governments trusted funds of Medicare. When a patient has plateaued to a level in PT, OT estimation they are either discharged or can continue to stay as a skilled nursing patient for $450 a day this is per the social service director at RBR. Between day 1 and 5 my mother adjusted to her new climbs and tried to become a model patient because her goal was to return home, living alone and independent as ever. She began recording her progress in how many feet she would walk each day in the hallway. I remember how proud she was with the 310-foot accomplishment. Mind you these were very guarded steps with gait belt, walker and therapist in tow with a wheelchair at the ready No independent walking. No independent transfer from bed to walker, chair or commode. She was miles away from returning home. Then the cough came. Between day 6 and discharge (i.e. day 25) my mothers cough continued to progress until at one point she was barely able to catch her breath and after asking repeatedly for help, like maybe a cough drop, labs and chest x-ray were ordered by the provider. And the walking stopped. And the dizziness set in. No ambulating from a wheelchair or continuation of therapy as she was constantly dizzy. But I digress, On the 20th day her care conference was convened. It was determined that she had plateaued and was not eligible for her Medicare benefits after 3 days. Thank God it snowed. This bought me another whole day to find an assisted living environment that would meet her needs. There was no way she could safely go back to independent living at home. Praise be to Laurel Cove in Shoreline Washington there I found a clean, wholesome, affordable and available rooms, with excellent food. That is where she was going to go or at least I thought. On the eleventh hour and 50 minutes to be exact. The provider came in to tell us “your mother has an elevated white blood cell count and lung markings on the x-ray suggested infection” and needed a course of antibiotics. This after I just been told from social services director that a wheelchair was being denied to her because she has walked to far post surgery. I asked the physician if the antibiotics were to be IV and he said no she could stay here at RBR and have them PO (by mouth). I told him NO I have made arrangements for transfer and her cabulance was waiting in the lobby. I wanted our discharge instruction and I wanted them ASAP. And 30 minutes later, delayed because the floor RN believed we would not leave, we were gone. Today I am happy to report that my mother is resting comfortably at Laurel Cove with more attention than she has ever received and on the mend from a diagnosis of pneumonia and status post hip fracture. Next year I do not think I will celebrate Christmas. In conclusion would I recommend Richmond Beach Rehabilitation? I think not…

MORE THAN PLENTY OF OBLIVIOUS, UNQUALIFIED, AIRHEADED, SOULLESS STAFF WHO SERIOUSLY SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR WORK IN HEALTHCARE any longer, banned for life across all levels and leadership, and permanently shut down when LACK BASIC SENSE FOR "compassionate care" (FALSELY ADVERTISED on phone recordings) in doing jobs working with vulnerable elderly at this facility. They've an EXTENSIVE HISTORY OF BEING REPORTED TO THE OMBUDMAN'S OFFICE, state offices to local and state representatives, and a FALSE NARRATIVE HISTORY of SUGARCOATING ratings on their website and will ABNORMALLY EXAGERATES it throughout the interior walls and entry of their facility as if trying hard to BRAINWASH/MANIPULATES into liking them. No proper, hospitable care service to residents and their family members, will routinely go through care conferences not because they care, but to be compliant with guidelines so not in violation to lose insurance contracts, not adequately engaged in listening to the resident and family concerns or are in any hurry to implement effective changes from grievances reported. Will intentionally sabotage exclusion of families caring for loved ones when acting in their best interest. Goes through routine but not accurately report, controls, interferes in the presence of family caring for loved ones, not made to feel welcomed during critical times transitional times in Hospice, will interfere/tamper with speaking for families in decision-making. No regard for hospital instructions for care, makes difficult for hospitals to re-admit to facility, and makes difficult to process application for additional support on behalf of and approved by families for added Hospice Care, interfere with any additional party brought in as support for loved one even if family and within end-of-life transition. Experimentally practices, introduce placing techniques without authorizing family, not update on any changes to health/medicines, will stupidly try to manipulate you with mental games and tell you that they did not tell you because they were acting in your best interest when actually violates rights, impedes, and sabotages "care" and "quality of life." Leadership continues to FAIL to listen, implement, execute, effectively train. COMBATIVE, UNHELPFUL, and UNPROFESSIONAL when families inquire on info, nursing staff will GASLIGHT you when informing on the needs and facts regarding their family's care on their watch, esp in addressing and resolving ongoing issues as missing/stolen items, health concerns, and will not reimburse you for them or replace them. The WORK CULTURE IS EXTREMELY BELOW PAR and LAZY. They will be spiteful, when at fault, have unresolved mental issues, manipulate and abuse, and/or make your concerns or family's existing health concerns/issues regarding loved ones worse than it actually needs to be (ill-equipped/ignorant/lack education). They have a history of undergoing too many structural changes within a year and even up to several years or longer. POOR, narcissistic, clueless, does not listen, social services department team makes too many ignorant and stupid excuses instead of being straight forward in saying they "do not know," not a person of their word (too many FAILED executions of priorities listed when given word on doing), POOR business office management and Hospice, poor selection processes for fulfilling important job roles, poor nurses unit managers and direction, poor handlings (following through on executing what's needed and most important/priority) false advertisements on telephone recordings (and not kept up-to-date), websites, and on site advertising does not match the impression reflected/shown towards others, POOR quality of care, common sense, training of a lot of CNA, LPNs (careless, lack soul, interfere, work ethic and leadership, communication to families, injection and med administering happy), EXTREMELY POOR judgement, extensively communicates amongst themselves, delays communication to families...RESIDENTS NEEDS NEW HOMES AND FACILITY NEEDS TO BE BANNNED ASAP!

Very slow response tines after hitting call button. Mom had a fungal infectection on her bum after transfer. She had been complaining for weeks to facility nurses. She was also having chest pain and due to lack of response time she called 911. Go Mom, My hubby and I had consult with nurse manager to get one nitro by her bedside, problem solved but like asking for the world. I will never ever put anyone here again. Please research first people! It was hell and I feel so bad doing this to Mom. Getting calls at 12am, 1, 2am to come because she was scared! They have poor ratings by state as well. Many reports. Plz, never ever put anyone here. Moms room mate called elder abuse invesigator. Yes, that bad.

This was a terrible experience. Short staffed, poorly equipped, terrible food. My mom spent the first week trying to figure out who her nurse was! Do not send your loved one here.

Have an elderly relative currently being cared for. Recently have been notified by a trusted source, who shall remain nameless, that patients are receiving food that is not fit for human consumption, which is causing poor health outcomes. And if patients make mention of this, they are being abused. Staff are being abusive and dismissive, when confronted. Complaints are falling on deaf ears. I will be removing my elderly relative from this service. My advice is for others to do the same.

This is a beautiful place to work and excel in, I have achieved so much in "almost" two years. The management team, and especially the Administrator, Dianne, shes a jewel!!, the team is great and the patients always appraise the staffs for the excellent work! Its always fun working at the Beach! 👏

I called twice and got hung up both times by someone named Ellen. I just asked the question. I was just trying to find out if this place accepted my health insurance. I wanted a nice place to feel safe and well take care of after having surgery to recover. I will take this as a sign. You probably need to replace this person.

Absolutely not recommended. I got NORO virus while visiting here. You think COVID-19 is bad? NORO was three times worse. I hope they have instituted better cleaning and disinfecting standards since then. Very unpleasant, regrettable experience--maybe they are not paying high enough wages? The staff seemed---indifferent. Anyway, none of my friends or relatives will ever go here.

Overall, not a bad facility. A little frustrated with not being able to visit my Dad in his room even though we were all vaccinated due to COVID. I understand policies are what they are, but there was precedent for being a little flexible.
