Excitement 4/10 Thrills 2/10 Theming 8/10 Wetness 5/10 (if you put your hand over the sprinklers you get soaked 😂) Overall 6/10 Good ride for kids but also nice and relaxing for people who want a break from the thrills but also get a bit wet.

A retheming of the Imperial Leather Bubbleworks ride based around the children's book The Gruffalo. The ride's layout is the same as the original ride but now tells the story of The Gruffalo with animatronics of the characters. A nice calming ride.

One of my all time favourite rides. The Q goes down constantly due to the never ending cycle of the ride boats which is good. The story is great and so is this rides interpretation. Just beware that you can get a little wet depending on how your other passingers put their hands in the water tunnels 😁. For those with youner kids or those that love the story its deffinately a must do ride at chessington.

A tame little indoor river ride themed around the Gruffalo. It's nice, but not really thrill seeking. You almost certainly won't get wet unless you touch the sprayers.

We had a terrible experience at this park. There was a really long line (over an hour wait) for Gruffalo ride, I left my husband and took kids to bathroom. When we came back the staff told us to stand in back of line and only my husband could go. The other parents had no problem as everyone was in same situation. We decided to go on ride anyway so they stopped the ride halfway and had security waiting for us. I asked security what rule was broken and asked him to show me and he couldn't show any written rules anywhere. There was no such rule but the staff were just having a power trip. Went to the office to complain and emailed them and didn't hear anything back. Terrible experience with the kids.

We've been on this a number of times last year and now this year. Whilst my kids are getting older, the way the story is done through the mini water 'rapids' ride is excellent. You watch them notice new things every time they go round as well. One of the best rides for families at Chessington.

Brilliant ride, tells the story of the Gruffalo with sights, sounds and smells. My 4 year old loved it and his face was a picture! His mind was blown away and he loved it so much we had to go on it again :) staff were really friendly and helpful too. My only thing was that it was a little quick to take it all in! Really good.

Great kids ride at Chessington. You take a River boat experience while it goes through the Gruffalo story using display and clever lighting. Nice break from the coasters as long as the queue is sub 30 mins.

Lovely ride for kids and adult fans of the Gruffalo. A warning for those with sensory issues it's quite loud, dark in places, can get splashed with water and there a 2 drops not huge ones but something to be aware of as we weren't and my Grandaughter ended up in tears despite enjoying some of the scenes

Great ride although we had an awful day there with things being closed nowhere to sit in and eat with the kids. Whilst it's raining! Apparently the park wasn't busy enough to warrant opening any restaurants! A joke of an excuse our tickets should have been refunded if this was the case

A surprisingly lovely ride even as a grown up. Took my son who is the grand old age of 12 and we both really enjoyed the tranquility of it and the nicely created models

My daughter, niece and nephew all loved going on this ride and went on it more than once each day we were there. It's quite a nice adaptation of the book.

Great time out with the kids, great ride it’s self. Ride bit too slow for my liking on a water walkthrough, but its a good ride, amazing staff.

Boring...uneventful.. not a patch on the Bubbleworks attraction it replaced. Showing its age allready... Fountains on the finale not working today which just added to the lack of interest my children have for this ride. Get rid of this IP allready merlin and give us and our children a dark ride back that we will remember again for years to come.

Took my 2 year old son on, was a bit too much for him...its very intense for a young 'un. Having said that, older children there absolutely loved it.

Our little one loved this ride, very atmospheric. Story telling could be better, and there is always a long queue for this ride.

Nice little dark ride, tells the story of the book. You may get a little damp

Had to queue with young grandchildren for 45 minutes. The ride itself probably only lasted a couple of minutes. Usual revolving rubber ring, bouncing off the sides meant that often the thing you wanted to see was behind you. But have to say that younger kids will love it. 😂

Very beautiful park, great for a walk. Good social distance measures in place.

LOVED IT - went round again well put together, sights and sounds - cant praise enough, if you love the Gruffalo then its a must - we also stayed in the gruffalo room at the hotel, cant see how people critisie the wait time - its on digital screens at the entrance to the ride, so its your decision to wait or not - the ride its self is faultless

Best indoor attraction in the UK, apart from HEX at Alton Towers. It's a brilliant ride overall. I like how it is pretty long compared to the majority of indoor attractions.
