Love this pub with friendly bar staff, hearty food, board and card games to play upon request and an extensive range of whiskies available (a cocktail menu is also available if that's your bag). Music lovers: Grey Horse is a not only a cosy pub but also a live music venue (do check out their open mic night) - and you can even come and hear poetry here. The bar may be cosy, but the restaurant provides further seating in the evenings.

Incredible place. Food was delicious and cooked so well. We had pork belly with Asian slaw and a chicken burger. Really friendly staff and cool atmosphere. The pork belly was barbecued perfectly and my boyfriend said it was “the best pork belly he’s ever had and that the grey horse is now his favourite place in Kingston” high praise! We’ll definitely be coming back here.

The Grey Horse - Smok’d is one of those hidden treasures that you discover; after discovering it, you will tell everyone you know about it and repeatedly go back again for more. This is an absolute amazing bbq smokehouse style pub restaurant that offers some of the best barbecue meat you can find in South West London. The authentic cooking methods and flavours of their grilled meats was absolutely impressive to say the least . Not only can you enjoy them as they are with your typical southern side dishes but they include some of their meats in their loaded fries. The loaded fries were packed full of flavour and the combinations of ingredients were well thought out. The whole vibe of the restaurant is very positive especially having a bar section being separate from the main dining section. All of that energy fills the entire pub and it elevates your dining experience to another level. If you are looking for Southern American style barbecue food then this is definitely the place to go. They offer amazing cocktails and many other drinks that add that boost of energy to your meal. I highly recommend this place for those looking for a fun place to eat and drink some amazing food at very affordable prices.

I visited this place last week friday. The wings were totally amazing!!!!! The best wings I've ever had in my life with such a banging taste and decent portion size. Service was brilliant also and the atmosphere was so beautiful. 10/10 for this place, I highly recommend.

Great vibe. Amazing, soulful music. Friendly staff, brilliant service (attentive, all the finger wipes + paper towels you need for wings). Great range of options on the menu + goooood food 👌 Sunday roast was awesome 🙂

We went to the Grey Horse for a Comedy Show and there were no faults with the comedy, but unfortunately the venue and staff ruined the experience. We arrived a little bit early and there were no seats in the bar area or anywhere to stand (as this was in the way of the serving staff till). We noticed that there were 4 tables in the restaurant vacant and asked a member of staff if we could wait at one of the tables. She did try her best to accommodate and asked her manager but the manager said that we couldn't sit at the table because we had not booked the dining area and they told us to stand outside in the cold. They only cared about making money with no care for their customers. The whole time we waited the empty tables were not used. We went inside the Comedy show room at the back, when it opened and got good seats. However the staff cramped us into the room and tried to sit 6 people on a 3 person table, with no space to move, right next to the bar. They had obviously overbooked the venue and there were not enough seats for all of the attendees. Considering we paid over £40 (a lot more than any of the other Comedy shows nearby), this was not worth the money. The comedians were good, but you do also expect decent seating arrangements and fair customer service, when you pay that much. The experience made us feel very claustrophobic and difficult to enjoy. Save your money and go to a better venue like Dorking Halls Comedy instead.

Grey Horse is amazing, not only for it's food, but for the drinks and music, too! The interior is also something I fancy a lot! They have a vast selection of whisky which is a straight A+ for me! And the music nights are fabulous - Blues, Jazz and Funk night is my favourite! Great bands there! And those ribs, man! You gotta try the ribs! 😜👍

The Grey Horse - SMOK'D - @greyhorse.smokd amazing pub/bar with smoked BBQ meats with amazing flavors. All meats delicately cooked and falling of the bone. Fan of BBQ smoked meats this is the place for you! Staff are super friendly and attentive. Wide line of top shelf whiskeys if that’s your a fan. It’s a dog friendly venue but please call them an inform them that you are bringing your fury friend so they can accommodate accordingly. Always book as they are extremely busy. What can I say @greyhorse.smokd you get a massive 👍 #pub #bar #bbqlovers #bbq #smokedbrisket #smoked #meat #smokedmeat #dogfriendly #dogswelcome #kingston #london #food

I have visited The Grey Horse a couple of times now and I'd like to let people know this has always been a chill place to go. Grey Horse is honestly quite cool as it looks only like a normal typical pub from the outside but it also has outdoor seating that looks quite nice and there is also a stage where usually live bands perform. Music's volume level is good and the playlist is decent, if you aren't a live music lover, you shouldn't have a big issue as you can't really hear it that much from the outdoor seatings even though it is close to the live stage room. Staff is extremely friendly to be in a concurrent area. They always provide their best service and make you smile.

Trendy pub with super tasty food. We really enjoyed the friendly service and chilled out atmosphere. The food menu has many tempting dishes and it's hard to choose what to order but this is a good problem to have. We really enjoyed the beef brisket burger and the baby back ribs. Tasty dishes perfect for a pub lunch. It's not just bbq meat dishes, they also cater for vegetarians. The drinks menu is really impressive. The whisky menu is crazy and they also have a wide variety of Gin, with some quirky interesting choices. Perfect location, right by the station. Lots of seating options and plenty of space. This might just be the best pub in Kingston. Highly recommended.

Consistently brilliant food, portions. Great selection of whisky and beers on tap. A real (not so) hidden gem in Kingston and always a treat to visit. Additionally, visited with two young children - the kids portions are very decent sized and they were very accommodating (albeit it was quiet). (Pictured - Beef Rib Roast and (partially eaten, sorry) Pork Belly Roast)

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I didn’t want a cocktail but they were open to making a mocktail for me and I loved it. I enjoyed the ribs and I haven’t had a better Mac and cheese yet 😋

Been to this amazing restaurant for the first time with my family yesterday, friendly staff , amazing cocktails, they even had a wide range of whiskies (never seen something like this before ) . The food was amazingly delicious. Beef ribs was so tender and full of flavour. Well enjoyed with my family. Cheers to the whole team. Wish I could do more than 5 stars. Highly recommend

First of all, the service here is impeccable. We received just the right amount of attention but were never bothered or pestered, despite spending several hours chatting while and after we ate. The food was served promptly, cooked perfectly, and was delicious. Prices were reasonable given the quality, and the menu was varied and interesting, with a wide selection of drinks available to choose from. Will definitely be visiting again, and a big thank you to the staff for making our visit this afternoon such a pleasure.

Great Rib of beef, their speciality. Was able to walk in for Saturday lunch and had choice of sitting inside or in their covered courtyard.

Starters were amazing! Burgers were small and average, doesn't come with chips (but chips were amazing!) Double gin and tonic is like £15min. Waitress was great! Attentive, informative, accommodating and funny!

Stupidly, I was so amazed when the food arrived I forgot to take any photos. I went for the full rack of baby-back ribs, which were delicious. Served with a couple of sides - skinny fries and house coleslaw, the glaze and house barbeque sauce were the perfect accompaniment. I'll definitely return to try other menu items and the gigs (comedy/music) in the venue/room at the back. Excellent, attentive service too + great selection of drinks, cocktails, and beers.

The food here is always delicious and so it's one of my favourite places to eat. Service is always friendly and on weekends they have entertainment in the back. We always bring our out of town visitors to this place and they're always happy with the choice. Definitely recommend this place!

Decided to take my son here after seeing a review on YouTube by Gary Eats. We had both decided that we wanted the beef rib but our server suggested the smoked combo which we decided against. We also ordered 2 sides of skinny fries and onion rings. The beef rib while tender was fairly bland and not much taste, the onion rings were good and plenty of them. I know this wasn't the restaurants fault but there was a guy sitting behind us who's every other word was the F word, not nice when the place is fairly empty and it was a friend of the server. Would I go back? Maybe if I was in the area.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of sampling several dishes, and each one was a true delight. The smoked brisket, with its melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich, smoky flavor, was a standout favorite. Paired with tangy barbecue sauce and served with crispy fries and coleslaw, it was a hearty and satisfying meal that left me craving more. In addition to the exceptional food, the service at The Grey Horse - Smok'd was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, providing recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch.

Average sunday roast. Staff friendly and helpful. Decor ok. Beef sunday roast had only one slice of beef which was delicious but there was just not enough of it compared to the price, gravy tasted of water.

Very impressed by this pub. It had a relaxed vibe and I really liked the quirky interior. You will love this place if you are a meat eater. There is a great selection of food and my entire group thoroughly enjoyed all of their choices. The ribs in particular were fantastic! There was a huge amount of meat on the bone and it was very tender (highly recommend). Furthermore, the cocktails were great too; I enjoyed how different and quirky they all were. The waiters were all very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again!

Probably my favorite place in Kingston. the Ram Jam music venue at the back of the pub is the main reason i go and i have performed here many times. the food is fabulous, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is fantastic and the service is excellent, the last time i went, the waitress Kerry was friendly, charming, quick and in spite of a very busy night, was very patient dealing with the amount of customers. give her a raise. If i have one criticism, the open mic nights used to serve 1 free drink to performers as a sort of well done which has since been discontinued. bring it back. regardless it is still a place i love to visit and intend to go back to many times

Monday ribs and margaritas its a must have! Amazing ribs at the very good price hands down! Very nice and friendly stuff, good whisky selection and cocktails 5/5. Please give Joe a pay rise as he is a true legend! The only thing I would add would be more whisky from Islay (Octamore, Port Charlotte etc). I will definitely come back!

Nice little pub with 90% meaty menu. Kids friendly , nice atmosphere, tasty food. Only comment I can make is that it took 20’ to get your food to the table and the place was 30% full. Other than that great. Tip: if you want to try a dessert go for the chocolate and peanut butter tart !

The best bar in Kingston. The staff are all amazing and the food is stunning! We had the full rack of pork ribs, a burger, the brisket and sweet potato wedges. It was all perfectly cooked! Beer and whiskey selection was really good too. I will be back!

Burgers were great, big brioche bun loads of nice fillings flavour n sauce. Beef slightly overcooked bit dry. Skin on fries to die for, just wish I knew their seasoning. Service quick friendly. Gave water n treats to husky. No air con or outside seating. Huge selection of specialty whisky. I would absolutely recommend for the food alone!!

Great barbecue full of flavours and great service. Our waitress Kerry is super polite and considerate. She saw that we came in with masks on and asked if we’d be more comfortable if she wears one too. Thank you Kerry :)

Had a lovely night here. Great atmosphere, great music and great food! Plus 💯 friendly staff. Love the food portion and all the food we ordered were very tasty. Also highly recommend to Whiskey lovers! More than enough whiskey options for you to try. It’d be amazing if they can have more mocktail options. Will come back :)

Had my first visit here tonight with some friends. We had a very warm welcome by staff, who checked in on us quite frequently throughout our evening and gave the best advice drinks wise. Boy oh boy, was I amazed at the quality and quantity of food we received. Honestly was, hands down the best ribs I’ve ever had… soft and juicy on the inside, perfectly charred on the outside. The atmosphere was a whole vibe by itself as well. This is definitely one of my new favorite spots in Kingston. 💯

Called in for lunch yesterday & enjoyed delicious food (my partner had the loaded fries & I had a chickpea burger with fries) & drinks (I had a yummy but somewhat potent Singapore Sling!). Had a real buzz about it (despite the fact it wasn't that busy at 12) & the attention to detail from a decor perspective was great (lots of nods to music & even a skeleton!!). Staff were smiley & efficient too. Will deffo go back again!
