I have never stayed such an awful hotel in my life. The whole place is full of demands and rules. No noise after 10 pm even though they had a private party going until 3am. No restaurant no bar, and a breakfast box as of course no sit down service. They also charge for each person staying and not by the room. I hope I am contacted and offered my money back asap. Being kept awake all night is not acceptable at all and not even an apology from management. If I could leave a 0 star rating I would.

I find it quite deceptive to put up pictures that makes it look like the hotel is in a country side. I believe it should be stressed that the hotel is in an industrial area and allow the guest to decide if that's suitable to their needs! 2. Rooms advertised was not room gotten. Having said that... Breakfast was great and the shower amazing

If you need a hotel in this area do opt for this one. The staff are nice and accommodating, the service is good and the food was decent. Stayed here a few days and it was a good experience. The location is far from Central but the area also has some nice restaurants to check out.

I stayed here on a Sunday night as I had an important job on Monday morning. I traveled down from North Wales so I could get a good night's sleep and be fresh for the next day. The hotel itself is nice and the staff are friendly. The guests on the other hand! I believe there was a wedding on the night I stayed. They were running up and down the corridor screaming and laughing until 3am! When I left my room there were empty pizza boxes outside my door so there was clearly a party in the hallway I was not invited too. I understand that it's your wedding day, best day of your life and you want to have a good time. I would probably be the same. I think it was irresponsible of the hotel to let out other rooms knowing full well they had such a big group of people staying there. Best advice I can give on this one is call them and see if they have any events booked in before you choose to stay there. I managed to get about 4 hours sleep in total. I would have been better staying at home and just getting up at 4am and driving down.

We were pleased with the venue and the hotel service. The dining hall was airconditioned and tastefully decorated. All the meals were super delicious. Not a single person raised concerns about the food quality. The hotel staff were professional and accomodating at our event. Overall, the wedding experience was phenomenal.

Stayed here numerous times over the years. There's a Good sucure carpark on the side of the building also parking out the front on the road Warm friendly greeting from receptionist but some reason they request photo id on check in. Lift to all floors Room an ok size as is the shower room Bed comfortable WiFi OK Breakfast included but not your typical English breakfast buffet (Hot dog sausages and no bacon) There is a restaurant on site but very limited menu there are other restaurants close by Location is on a industrial site. Would stay again as driving distance to Croydon..

The Grand Sapphire Hotel & Banqueting London is a 4-star hotel located in Croydon, Greater London. The hotel is about 15 miles from central London and is easily accessible by train or car. The hotel has a total of 125 rooms, including standard rooms, suites, and family rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean, and all rooms have a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel has a number of facilities, including a bar, restaurant, fitness center, and sauna. The hotel also has a banqueting hall that can accommodate up to 300 guests. The Grand Sapphire Hotel & Banqueting London has a mixed bag of reviews. Some guests have praised the hotel for its cleanliness, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. However, other guests have complained about the hotel's location, breakfast, and customer service. Overall, the Grand Sapphire Hotel & Banqueting London is a decent hotel with a good location and clean rooms. However, the hotel's breakfast and customer service could be improved. Here are some pros and cons of the Grand Sapphire Hotel & Banqueting London: **Pros:** * Clean rooms * Spacious rooms * Friendly staff * Good location * Easy access to central London * Banqueting hall for weddings and events **Cons:** * Breakfast is not included in the room rate * Customer service can be slow and unresponsive * Location is a bit out of the way * Some rooms can be noisy Overall, the Grand Sapphire Hotel & Banqueting London is a decent hotel with a good location and clean rooms. However, the hotel's breakfast and customer service could be improved. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers or families who are looking for a clean and affordable place to stay in Croydon.

Amazing hotel and amazing staff. I came for a week for work. This hotel should be rated a 5 star hotel in my opinion. Very happy and so happy I have rebooked. All the extras you would expect in a 5 star hotel. If only all hotels were like this. Highly recommend

Amazing venue, professional customer service right down from management to staff level, with tasty & sumptuous food - a perfect location to hold our Annual General Meeting. We wanted to inform our guests of all the success stories we have achieved over the past year and and with the support from Grand Sapphire we also managed to impress them with one of the best banqueting location in London. The facilities and the services provided to us for our meeting - deserves 5 STAR.

Did not stay so I gave a 5* however it was clean throughout the wedding I attended from halls to toilet, the decor was pretty, location if I’m honest wasn’t great as I had to actually look for it towards the end, the sat nav takes you through a industrial estate and it’s literally at the end of the crossroad to the left.. the building could have some new paint which would make it look tremendously different to what it is now. The service was good too. Although the wedding was real nice the let down would have been the catering but I assume that’s of the bride and grooms choice? Parking is at the back of the hall so you would need to press the buzzer for the big black gates. Overall the hall did not disappoint.

I attended a function here but did not stay over. The banqueting hall was large and spacious. The car park is small so most of us had to park on street. Also there is no signal on your phone in the suite so you need to use WiFi

Overall this hotel is lovely. The rooms are so beautiful, we stayed in the executive suite as it was mine and my partners first time away together. The large space gave us plenty of room to chill and not be on the bed all the time. There is an issue with parking, when there is a wedding on people double park all down the street and the car park is overflowing. As a disabled person with a blue badge I had to leave my car on double yellows and move it every 2.5 hrs. The hotel does have a couple of disabled parking spots but they do not inforce/monitor these and it results in disrespectful wedding guests parking in them without a blue badge. Despite having security on where this should be easily monitored. I cannot comment on the breakfast as we spent the first morning in and was gone at 6am on the day of departure.

The location itself isn't a prime location, but their target is the banquet hall. I can only speak about my hotel stay experience. Rooms were decent - moderately clean that I didn't feel uncomfortable staying there for a couple of days. The bedding was bad... there was holes and rips, the sheets didn't fit. The shower head fell on me when I turned on the shower. We had to complain to front desk to get it changed and fixed. However, someone did enter my room unannounced / no knocking, just used the key card and entered, while I was laying in bed and when they realized the room was occupied, they tried to cover up their mistake and said they thought we called room service... then the front desk called and claimed they got the rooms wrong. This was an error on their part but the staff really need to coordinate and track which rooms are which because the man barging into my room was not a great experience the first 2 hours of my stay. The fixtures (such as the stair railings) were NOT sturdy. All of poor quality and poorly built/installed. The complimentary breakfast was subpar - but not terrible. The front desk was okay... one staff member in particular seemed apathetic to work there. All in all - for a budget friendly, at a bind/last minute hotel - it does the job, but I likely won't pick this as a hotel stay as my first choice.

We just got married and held our big event at the Grand Sapphire. It was an absolute dream come true! I am so grateful for the brilliant service, delicious and plentiful food and excellent hospitality. Communication was smooth at all time and every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Special thanks to Aamain for always being on hand to help with organising and giving support. We will always remember this day as perfect, thank you so so much!

I had my wedding reception here last July and i'm so glad i did. Grand Sapphire truly exceeded my expectations. The decor, lighting, stage, food and service was amazing. Everything went so smoothly and truly became one of my best memories. I honestly have no complains, everything was perfect. I'm so grateful to Nauman for making sure my expectations were met and creating my fairytale wedding.

Beautiful and lovely Hall. Decorated with chandler lights everywhere. Clean environment throughout including toilets. There are two halls to choose from, small or the big one to suit your crowds. Wheelchair accessible, free parking in the car park and you can park free on the side road. What else can I say, it's top notch 👌100 %

The worst experience ever! The managers were shouting at us, called us all sort of names. I do admit the numbers of people over exceeded our expectations but yelling, shouting and insulting us did not make the situation better. They have a poor costumer service, especially the female manager, we went to ask her something in a polite way, I was even in tears due to her rudeness and her feeling of power she had. YOU DO NOT TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS THAT WAY. The worst of them was a manager who refused to give me his name and came out of nowhere to insult me without even looking in my eyes! Threatened us and made the bride cry on her special day. But you don’t call people all sort of names when they are the one to bring revenue to your business! It is embarrassing! The other incident we had was the room switch! That was embarrassing! The bride and groom paid for the executive room, we were told the day before that the room is under maintenance due to that we would not be able to use the room that night but the night after. The event started at 11 and at 8 am they tell us that we cannot be moved to the new room until check out time. At 11:30 when pressure was high and it was impossible to move the stuffs from one room to another, the receptionist threatened us that if we do not move the things from the room in the next 5 minutes we would pay a fine. That is ridiculous, we went there at 8 am to request to be moved immediately as we knew the wedding would start at 11 and we would be stressed and we would not have anyone to take care of that but they religiously told us NO, not possible until 11am, which was not possible for us. As an event company I have never experience things like these and I pray and hope that the venue managers will take into consideration what they did and review it. The only good people in all this mess was the kitchen staff! Amazing people and very polite. They helped out! Kuddos to the chef on duty for Grand Sapphire!

Celebrated my daughter's wedding at the Grand Sapphire. The service received before (from Nauman), during the celebrations and after was faultless. The manager in charge, did an excellent job of coordinating, as timings had to be adjusted slightly. The food was excellent. The whole experience was phenomenal. Thank you very much for making my daughter's wedding a truly memorable one.

I had booked this venue for my sons wedding reception and it was such a beautiful place and the staff were very helpful and professional. The food was amazing and all our guests had enjoyed the food and overall it was outstanding. The floor manager did a fantastic job and was very helpful and we had extra guests that arrived and within a few minutes he made all the arrangements. I recommend this place to be booked for weddings, it was amazing.

I attended my Neice’s wedding at the Grand Sapphire it was nothing short of magical event. From start to finish, it was an absolute dream come true. Nauman, who was there dedicated coordinator, played an important role in ensuring that every aspect of my Neice’s special day was nothing short of perfection. His unwavering support, attention to detail, and reassuring presence made the entire planning process a breeze. The decor was simply breathtaking too. . The creativity showcased by the team at Grand Sapphire truly transformed the venue into a fairytale setting. My Brother was incredibly grateful to Grand Sapphire for creating such a beautiful and memorable wedding for his daughter. It's a day that they will cherish for a lifetime, and they couldn't have asked for a better venue or team to bring our vision to life. If you're looking for a venue that will exceed your expectations and create lasting memories, look no further than the Grand Sapphire.

Really can't fault this place for the price. Martina on the front desk was so friendly and helpful. All the staff there were courteous and professional. Breakfast offering is good and the room service curry was fantastic. I've already booked again for the following week.

On arrival the bed was dirty and when I asked to change rooms. I got we don't have any more doubles. Not going to mention what was on the sheets but put me off sleeping in the bed. They didn't even change the sheets , all the time I stayed there. When I asked if they catered for diabetics I just got a blank expression with no answer. No tea or coffee in the room and finally got a teaspoon on the second to last day I was supposed to stay. I was so disgusted in the efforts of this hotel I left a day early. I would express a total WARNING to hygiene of ANYONE who is thinking of staying here. It reeks of bad management . Oh and before I forget I woke up to a repeating noise at 4 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. Breakfast was awful, so for the main I didn't have much of it. Just a pity I can't get my money back on the last night I never stayed. It might have softened the experience. Totally inhospitable place to stay and next time I'll choose something far better like the premier inn.

We can divide it into two sides of the coin, when it comes to parties and weddings, it would probably be ok, when it comes to the hotel itself, the chances are poor, the location, breakfast and cleanliness are not what I would have dreamed of. And I'm already answering, from 4-30 in the morning the gentlemen next door start their big cars that transport skips, it's noisy. Breakfast, very far from what you show. Cleanliness could have been better if not for an English lady who was caught pointing out problems to a young girl in front of me and she was caught doing it. Respect for the cleaning crew who are probably fed up with the Englishwoman whose bottom is higher than her nose. I'm not racist, I'm Polish, but such treatment should be stopped.

Our wedding at the Grand Sapphire was nothing short of magical. From start to finish, it was an absolute dream come true. Nauman, our dedicated coordinator, played an instrumental role in ensuring that every aspect of our special day was nothing short of perfection. His unwavering support, attention to detail, and reassuring presence made the entire planning process a breeze. He was always just a phone call away, ready to address any concerns and offer valuable guidance. The decor was simply breathtaking, exceeding all our expectations. The creativity showcased by the team at Grand Sapphire truly transformed the venue into a fairytale setting. However, we did notice some issues with the head tables, as the mirrored curved tables had damage and scratches on the surface. Despite this setback, everything else was wonderful. Additionally, if you're considering a mirrored dance floor, it's worth noting that it can get dirty very quickly with footprints. There didn't seem to be anti-dirt protection, so keep that in mind when making your decision. We are incredibly grateful to Grand Sapphire for creating such a beautiful and memorable wedding for us. It's a day that we will cherish for a lifetime, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue or team to bring our vision to life. If you're looking for a venue that will exceed your expectations and create lasting memories, look no further than the Grand Sapphire.

We arrived and our room was obviously dirty. There were crumbs and dust on the floor and when we complained they couldn't do anything till the morning after. There were also stains on the bed and curtains. The sofa bed was ATROCIOUS. It wasn't made, was really dirty and just disgusting. We got abt 3 towels that weren't changed even after the cleaning. The breakfast was okay, small variety. It was also VERY LOUD even at 12am because of a party they had downstairs. Only thing I liked were the soaps and shampoo.

I have recently stayed at the Grand Sapphire. The room was a good size and clean. The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate however. The external noise starts quite early. The first night was quiet, however the second night was really noisy with people running up and down the corridor outside my room talking very loudly. This was added to by some idiots who were either connected to the hotel or staying there revving the engine of their expensive powerful car in the front car park u til at least 12:30 am. Breakfast is adequate, nothing special.

It is a very busy site , essentially within a trading estate , and we were there on a Saturday when 3 wedding receptions were taking place. This put a big strain on Parking for Hotel guests. The rooms were good , especially the executive suite my In-laws had due to wheelchair access needs.

Ok so I went to an Asian wedding yesterday and it was in the grand ballroom. First of all the whole place and entrance is breath-taking, like for real I was so stunned! There was parking space so my car could be parked their with ease, no pay. However, once we were eating food, (which took like 1 and 1/2 hours to come) I asked a waiter what happens with all the food in the big dishes that don't get finished and she said that it goes in the bin. Now I think this happens everywhere but nonetheless I was still shocked and disgusted. So, I asked her I could take it home as takeaway (I know this is silly but like if it's going to be thrown anyway isn't better to make use out of it?) Anyways, she said ask the supervisor so I had to walk aCrOsS literally the whole place only to go there and the lady to have literally disappeared like I tried checking in the entrance and she was gone. I was like wow anyway, the food wasn't that good to be honest and because they had like 45 minutes intervals between the 3 times we got food everyone kept thinking this was the only food we were getting so everyone filled themselves up only to wait 45 minutes later and another meal comes. The staff weren't very helpful and I had a hard time communicating as some couldn't really speak English. Microphone kept bleeding my ears. But on the whole it was a nice experience that I shall never forget!

Attended an event last Sunday evening where we had a good welcome along with drinks. Seating area was well organised with tables clearly numbered and seating plan marked at the entrance. It all started well until the DJ next door started rolling some heavy beats which bled our ears and made it difficult for both the speakers to carry on and the audience to listen. I think a few people spoke to the management there and it got better for sometime but the DJ came back with a full bang again. May be the management can consider what type of events can be managed at the same time in adjoining halls so the events can go on without disruption. Other than that, I can't fault the service.

Great hotel for the genre (events/large groups/business) We were here on business and needed somewhere to stay in a less busy area, and this location was easy to park at and quick to get to train stations, etc. Overall the hotel is above average, clean and well stocked comfortable rooms. Breakfast was buffet style with sausages, eggs, toast, beans, and all sorts of other sides to accompany. Service staff at the hotel are fantastic and friendly, everything was well organized and thought out. Pros: Great price Good breakfast Simple but comfy room Cons: Bed was adequate, could be more comfortable. Room is a bit spartan (hairdryer would be nice) (BYO HP sauce FYI)

Thank you so much for having such a wonderful and memorable wedding service ! You guys are all amazing, kind, professional, attentive, on point answering back to emails, calls, changes and concerns. You all made our wedding beautiful and more than what we expected! I would like to appreciate Mr Jamal (Event Manager), the way you handled all our matter from day one ( booking enquiry) to the end of event was marvellous all together , In entire procedure we even not feel any nervous wreck, as you had treated this important event as your own family event. It would be injustice if I miss one name ( Ms Zara- Floor manager ) and now I have no doubts that all the efforts she put in to make the event the best possible it worth every penny you pay. Thank you again, to all the team of Sapphire ! You guys are incredible! Thank you so much and God bless you all!

We stayed here not attending a wedding, this has been the best hotel we have stayed in for a while! Staff were amazing, especially the security guard we first met as we checked in later on in the evening. Rooms were clean and spacious, overall an amazing place and we will definitely be returning. Only thing we had a problem with is no USB charging ports we didn't have a plug as phones don't come with plugs anymore. If you are staying here make sure you bring one, other than that thank you so much for having us.

It was a great place to stay with decent size room. Customer service was good with free private parking. The only issue we had was breakfast being average and other guests making noise. Would highly recommend to anyone staying for a couple of days as access to Croydon Town centre is not far with transport links into London within 20mins. Zamin was helpful during our stay. Would be great if they had scale to weight suitcases for travellers.

I recently stayed here on business for 2 nights and was very impressed with the customer service, cleanliness of the hotel and with a nice breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and would like to personally thank one staff member who went above and beyond to meet my needs thank you Martyna! I look forward to staying with you again in the new year.

I was there for my wedding. An absolute delight. The staff were all friendly and so easy to talk to. They were ready to sort out my issue and one particular one stood out, Zamin. He was so lovely and extremely friendly. He handled all my bookings and he was quite knowledgeable with everything. My wedding was a blast. Thank you so much Grand sapphire for making my day special

I booked 2 executive suites for my daughters 14th birthday sleepover (supervised) and it was absolutely amazing. The suites were beautiful and they allowed me to come in early to decorate the room. The staff were so nice and fully assisted me were needed. A very special shout out to Mary whom from my initial call to inquire was absolutely amazing. She helped me with the booking and answered my many calls dealing with all my queries and on the actual day again was just the absolute best. I will definitely be back.

Amazing venue with brilliant staff. We booked grand sapphire for our wedding day and also a room for the night. Everything went smoothly, a special thanks to Nauman and our events manager Zara! Both coordinated with us really well, both reliable people. We recommend everyone to get married here.

I stayed here for 3 nights. It was a really nice place, location was ideal as I had a wedding to attend to on the penultimate night I was here. The rooms are nice and the fact that the AC exists makes it that much nicer in the heat. The showers/toilets were decently sized so I was pleasantly surprised. The wedding venue was superb. AC was so good that it almost makes you cold whilst outside is sweltering temperature. The only thing I'd say is with the catering company they should label all allergens for all meals considering allergies are a big thing these days. The staff themselves didn't know about any allergies except one out of the 20 that were on duty which I was quite alarmed with however this I suppose is normal for asian venues / weddings. Hopefully this will change in the future. The only other gripe I would say is the parking for hotel guests is the same as parking for event guests - it's quite a walk from the main hotel to the carpark. For someone who had to make multiple trips it was a little annoying. Also the breakfast was pretty basic but honestly I only had it on 1 out of the 3 mornings I was there. I would recommend this place to others.

Lovely looking hotel. Dirty towel left hung over wardrobe rail obviously from previous customer. 2 boxes of valet kits on drawer unit, both empty. I had to complain about noise from opposite room which the guy on reception thankfully sorted but they were noisy at 0600 hrs in same room. Breakfast was disgusting!! Solid fried eggs. Mini hotdog sausages. The orange liquid in the container was what I thought was fresh orange until I tasted it. It was more like strongly diluted orange and pineapple. I do not think I would return.

I attended wedding at Grand Sapphire Banquet hall. Arrangements and service are amazing and 10*. Beautiful entrance hall for welcoming guests and main hall is stunning. Highly recommended We booked room in this hotel as well. Great room with all 5* facilities and Ac is working and bed and pillows are very comfy. Breakfast is free and it’s packed lunch. Order by room phone in the morning for full English breakfast. Mr Zamin at reception desk service was very helpful. There are plenty of car park spaces. And electric sockets outside for charging your electric car. You must bring your electric charger plug lead for that. Check from hotel if they allow you to charge.

I would have given 5 stars However, the staff are grumpy... bless the lady who was helpful to didn't quite catch her name. She was the only one who was helpful and nice, lovely light brown in complexion lady. Wasn't particularly impressed with the fact you have to go downstairs to collect breakfast in form of a packed lunch kind of... also I couldn't see much of security. However, the decor is beautiful downstairs, too. It would be nice to clean the telecom phones in the room throughly too, as wasn't clean and a bit gross touching it. Bathroom well cleaned/maintained and the bed too. Overall thank you for the stay. Hoping you take feedback seriously and please your customers too and invest in staff who are happy and welcoming. All the best!

I’ve stayed at the hotel with my family and we had a lovely time . We flied over for a wedding from the United States 🇺🇸 Hotel was clean and close to facilities so it was handy … at night we was a bit cold but Martina gave us an extra duvet and set our air conditioning for hot air . Breakfast was lovely and different to what we have experienced before in a box to take do the room first time try ( but we loved it ) Overall pleasant stay we will definitely return and recommend to our family and friends . Thank you Grand Sapphire we are truly impressed ❤️

Spectacular venue with absolutely amazing staff! Rahul helped us through every fine detail of our event and our guest were left mind blown! Couldn't have asked for better staff to assist and we'll definitely be recommending his services. Super friendly, attention to detail and very professional. Ask for Rahul! You won't be disappointed!

The staff are very much by the book. They do not accommodate your wishes for your big day. We dealt with zunaira, who overall was good but not very accomodating. When we spoke to managers on our actual wedding day they said we should have spoken to them for what we wanted as it was definitely possible and not unreasonable. Whilst I appreciate they are a big business, they are far too money motivated. We have been to venues since our wedding which are much more relaxed and accomodating. We paid thousands of pounds and this could have been better spent elsewhere.

Had our Nephew's Wedding at this venue and can't fault the service we received. From the organisation to the implementation on the day everything was amazing. The food was top class and enjoyed and complemented by everyone. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating too. A big shout out to the waitress that served the head table, she was amazing !! Would recommend this venue to all my family and friends and would.definatly use them again. Thanks to Namaan & the team.

Visited this place as a guest. Although the location is a bit bleak, with no scenery and the security guards were extremely rude and unhelpful, the venue itself was so pretty. The food was excellent and served very hot. There was space to pray and there was ample space to move around.

Hosted an event at the Grand Sapphire recently. Was an incredibly tiresome experience, exacerbated by the quite frankly subpar support and customer service received by team. Was consistently provided conflicting information, elements of my events changed without being informed, and staff members were rude and arrogant. Staff would hold access to various parts of the venue “hostage” despite deposit being paid, and were not forthcoming with information. Event planning was made even more difficult, as it was dictated by staff members, personal schedules. Every attempt to escalate my concerns was met with disdain and lack of accountability, nor was taken seriously. Event management also attempted to change event location on the morning of the event as means of apology, a disorientating change which further reflected their lack of understanding of my need and event capacity. Staff were also physically unhelpful, asking insulting questions, and incapable of offering assistance, opting to watch us carry in crate after crate of beverage in the snow, instead of offering a trolley. Cold room storage was abhorrent and dirty. Witnessed staff spitting in kitchen. Would not recommend at all.

All my staff had such a wonderful time at the Christmas party at Grand Sapphire Hotel. From the moment we arrived to when we left the whole experience was amazing. The food was sublime and the staff were very professional and extremely accommodating and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated. We couldn’t have been any happier with the party. I will definitely booking again for next year. Thank you so much.
