Wonderful place to go for a long nature walk. Encompasses all terrain and is great to walk or run around, depending on what you’re after. It has a car park nearby and you can either go one side of the down or the other. Depending on your mood and your ability to be around animals as horses/cows freely wonder around certain areas

Catherington down is a nice little country walk set upon a hill side with switch back paths taking you gently up or down the hill. There is small range of wildlife that makes it home there birds, butterflies and rabbits etc. Great for dog walks the hills can be used to help wear out your dog. Lots of parking options one at the top (proper car park) and 2 at the bottom (road side parking). A good place for sledging when it snows with slops gentle for children or one that you get some real speed on. Great fun but you may be sore after.

Lovely area, sadly a few people don't pick up after their dogs which is a real shame!

Lovely! Shame about all the dog poo but apart from that it's a lovely little bit of nature.

Well maintained SSSI, Sight of Special Scientific Interest. Nice walking, if a tad hilly, and several nearby parking areas.

Parking opposite the village pond, flat fields with hedges and trees. Heading through to access land common at the bottom of the fields. Great views of the valley.

A little muddy in the winter but still nice on a sunny winters day. Even better in the summer, sitting on the grass at the top of the hill, the warm breeze on your face, the birds singing... just beautiful... The best things in life are free.

Great place to walk your dog. Very enclosed and fenced off so they cannot wander off.
