Purchased coffee beans through Good Sixty, order was unilaterally cancelled by Missing Bean a few hours before collection, without any attempt at contacting me. It later transpired that Missing Bean no longer stock that coffee. No offer of an alternative, and very much pinning the blame entirely on Good Sixty. Staff were apologetic, but didn't try to offer anything to make the experience better, just suggested I buy from them direct in the future. Sadly "Missing Bean" lived up to its name and I won't be using them again...

Lovely roastry with so much coffee types and nice selection of deserts as well. Would love to try all their coffees in future and try some of their coffee tasting sessions. Having some more seats outside could bring more people to sit outside as well. Lovely passionate staff as well :)

Amazing coffee shop, high quality coffee, beans roasted on site. Strong coffee and reasonably priced. Super friendly staff bring over your coffee when ready. Loads of indoor and outdoor seating with wifi makes a great place to get some work done. Nicely decorated, lots of plants and great soundtrack playing. Pastries with vegan options.

For somewhere that is such a coffee specialistic we were surprised to be served a very weak and luke warm cappuccino and latte. Maybe it was an off day. Apparently all drinks are served with just a single shot of coffee, unless you order large, which is listed at the bottom of the menu as ‘large drinks 40p extra’. That’s fair enough but if you like stronger coffee, Truck store, Coffee 101 plus others are much punchier as standard.

Tasty coffee and pastries - savory food too if you can get there before they're all gone :) dog friendly. Staff always friendly and helpful. Great place to pick up a bag of really great quality beans (including decaf) and assorted coffee making paraphernalia.

The butter croissant had a nice buttery taste with a flaky consistency Double Cortado was truly strong. Inside the cafe was too hot in the summer

Now this place is quality. The coffee is the best I’ve ever had. It’s brought to you and beautifully displayed. You can tell they put their heart into it and take pride in it’s presentation. It’s reasonably priced and a great vibe. Staff are really friendly. It’s definitely the best place for a coffee in Oxford in my opinion.

More espresso bar than café. Always smells amazing as they roast their beans on site. Friendly service and skilled baristas. Perfect coffee every time. If you want to buy their beans to take home they will grind them to your requirements and happily talk to you about the varieties. And cheaper than Costa.

Amazing artisan coffee, quite a range and you get a discount if you bring the coffee bags back to re use. Love businesses that do their part for the environment. I am still enjoying the Brazilian beans as a pourover.

I think it's the best coffee in Oxford. Large variety of different origin and tastes of beans and a very professional attitude. Short opening times though.

Excellent quality coffee, I had a flat white. They were out of pastries in the afternoon so I tried a pistachio raspberry tea cake which was sumptuous. This place also has a really nice atmosphere. Wish I found it sooner as this is my last day in Oxford.

Definitely my favourite coffee shop in the local area—feels very Melbournian. I buy nearly 500g of coffee beans a week from them to support my addiction/hobby, and they really know their stuff when it comes to roasting. Lovely atmosphere if you just want to hang out with a coffee, too, with nice outdoor seating.

Local cafe takes coffee seriously. Fantastically sourced coffee, available to drink in or takeaway. At the weekends you see all the neighbourhood sitting outside and chatting. The takeaway beans are ground for you. I have now been spoiled for any other coffee, and have a stash and an aero press at work. Small food selection inc GF is a nice bonus.

I am so gutted I didn't know about this place sooner ! Such a great coffee shop. The pastries are divine - I recommend their spinach and ricotta one. The coffee is so good I cant get enough and will be buying some to take home - their oat milk lattes are great. This seems like such a good place to meet a friend and hang out as the interior looks so good.

Where would we be without the Missing Bean? The business who brought artisan coffee to Oxford have been supplying coffee beans to the Handle Bar since we opened our doors in 2015, and we’ve never looked back. The service is literally the best! From helping us design the best roast, to accompaniment through training and help with equipment, nothing is ever too much for them. Everything is so personal that we can’t (and can)  believe we aren’t the only people they look after!!! With ethics at the forefront of our business, it is liberating to leave the work to them. Their coffee is sustainably sourced, with Ori even travelling around ensuring every step of production is to his high standards. This also ensures a very high quality of product, one we are proud and confident to serve our customers.  In our five years working together, we have never had a bad batch, a bad word, a bad experience. This relationship is here to stay!

Great coffee and pastry. I believe they have a large coffee variety, I asked for a flat white and it was very smooth and silky. I also had an almond croissant which I found delicious. Great to start off the day with energy. In terms of location, it's a bit lost in a residential area around Cowley, but it breathes large hippie vibes and it isn't too far away from the city centre (around a 20 min walk)

This is a lovely cafe, but it makes no sense that it closes at 4pm, it's very frustrating. Many other cafes have similar opening hours on Magdalen Road, and it's hard to find a place for coffee after school. Luckily another place had opened up next door with longer opening hours.

Good coffee. Friendly. Slightly odd shape internally but not much of an issue. Hip area of Cowley away from the main road cacophony. Why does only appear on Google maps with the deepest zoom...£££ ? ( Other café on sale street easier to find )

Lovely neighbourhood roastery and cafe, great coffee, pastry, snacks. Always friendly, always lively with locals. Stock up on beans to enjoy their coffee at home - bring your own container for a small discount! They’ve expanded to many locations in the area, which is a testament to their popularity.

Great little coffee shop - has some great fresh coffee that tastes fab for having been freshly made. Has a little cafe with a table and a sofa. Do some interesting items on the menu (sweet sticky ball thingy's), although nothing substantial (no panini's or sandwiches,, but that's not the point). Not many other cafes around this area unless you go to Bannister's cafe or FABS cafe on Iffley Road, or go along to Cowley. Fits the bill if you're looking for something niche.

Really great coffee, purchased a latte which was brewed excellently and had a rich, silky flavour to it. I had purchased beans from them before, but this was my first time ordering in person and I'm glad I did! The roastery itself is within a warehouse style building and currently operating under covid restrictions, so you'll arrive and remain outside whilst ordering at their till whilst the barista is a suitable distance away. There didn't seem to be that much responsible distancing going on with the other customers, which isn't a fault of Missing Bean, but something to be aware of.

As mentioned elsewhere in the reviews, this is by far the best place to get a cup of coffee that is as good as you'd find in Melbourne/Australia. Delicious, strong coffee and amazing pastries.

Recommended this place as I'm fussy about my coffee. 2nd visit today, black Americano watery and tasteless both visits....poured away today's. Cheese roll was good. Very expensive.....their regular is small and large is regular🙃 Costa on Cowley Rd beats them hands down for coffee and price.

Nice coffee shop and roastery. They do a very good and pretty cheap batch brew filter coffee for £2.20, which I get basically whenever I walk past. They have nice cakes too. They also deliver beans, and if you are local they deliver your order the next day for only £1 delivery fee by bike.

The coffee is great, though I was disappointed that their cold brew is just some bottled stuff that's kinda weak sauce. Wish they would offer a weekly subscription service like Jericho coffee traders does
