I have been driving past Warren house for years until recently a friend mentioned to me about its existence. I drive from Barnes to Kingston regularly. I have never driven up the private road. I decided to bring my partner and two friends for Christmas afternoon tea. The time we chose to come was quiet. It's a very beautiful old house steeped in history. 🏠 Everything was freshly made, the service was perfect πŸ₯° Staff were attentive. They helped to make the experience special. Food, decor, and atmosphere were spot on. We were shown the hotel and the garden. It was night πŸŒ™ but was treated to a beautiful light display. ✨️ I can't believe what l have been missing all these years. Thank you for helping me to create a lovely experience for my guests.

We booked an afternoon tea to celebrate my son's 4th birthday, and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make our experience special. They served us a delicious birthday cake and were flexible with our booking, even though it was outside of the afternoon tea time. The Halloween afternoon tea was both tasty and fun. We enjoyed a variety of spooky-themed treats, including scones, chocolate bats, and spider web cookies. The atmosphere was festive and inviting. Our servers were very friendly and professional. They made sure that we had everything we needed and checked in on us regularly. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or any occasion at all!

The hotel is located in a quiet and private area. The receptionist says the hotel is 200 years old, which is quite impressive. We arrived quite late at night. The hotel front area was decorated with beautiful lighting which was beautiful. But we had to stay outside in the cold weather looking for our room because it was dark outside and not enough signages around. We had to go back to the reception to ask for help finding our room. Ultimately we found the room but the room was cold. We picked up the phone and dialled the reception but the phone wasn't working. We had to walk to the reception to tell the temperature control not working. In the end the problem sorted but we found the WiFi was not working. We gave up complaining and just decided to stay because we could not find another hotel nearby at the late hour and the weather was freezing cold. Anyway the receptionist brought us a portable heater so we could have a nice sleep. The breakfast was OK. The fruit juice was fresh from the machine.

We recently had our unit’s Christmas party here and Warren house welcomed each and every guest with warmth and professionalism. All staff were accommodating, and sincerely helpful in everything. The food served that night was also very delicious and all meals were presented beautifully. Thank you!

We spent a lovely evening at Warren House as a mini getaway. We purchased a dinner, bed and breakfast package so certainly experienced the hotel. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Some seemed quite new but there was always an experienced member of staff close by. The hotel has lovely grounds and was maintained pretty well inside. The room had a comfortable bed and nice tea and coffee facilities. The walls are pretty thin so you could easily hear people in the hallway, just to be aware of. There also weren't any plugs easily accessible in the room. We had to use one right by the door. A bit inconvenient. The food was really nice. Dinner had nice presentation and good flavours. Breakfast was a buffet with all the basics. The WiFi was very reliable and strong enough to stream video.

We booked the deluxe room for our wedding anniversary. They prepared us a lot of extra in our room! The room is spacious, spotless, elegantly designed, and the staff are really friendly. Breakfast is excellent too.

My experience in this hotel was absolutely terrible. I don't think l've ever been treated so badly by staff in my life. They have absolutely no respect for customers whatsoever. One guy in particular was clearly in a power trip and stormed all over the place like he owned it. What an absolute joke of a place. Also, those lovely manicured gardens you see in the pictures? They look nothing like that. It's all overgrown and there are spiders everywhere. Avoid this place.

Beyond angry at this hotel and its incompetence. I’d give zero stars if possible. I booked a room in April for a stay to celebrate my husbands 50th on 17th June. We arrived at the hotel at 12.30 and asked to check in. We were rudely told that we could not check in. I did advise we did not need access to the room but asked if we could check in as we were going into London and would not be back until after midnight. Firmly told that reception was 24hr and this would not be a problem. After a very long day we arrive back at the hotel at 12.30am to be told that we had already checked in and our room was occupied. Showed the receptionist both confirmation emails, to be told they were fully booked and we did not have a room. We then waited over 30 mins for the staff to call the room we were supposed to be in and the occupants gave a different name (surprisingly). He then went to check the room they should have been allocated to see if we could use that room, which I would have happily accepted, to be told the room was empty but dirty and we could not use it. So we are stuck with no room, and 3 hours from home. So they were not fully booked, but not competent enough to have the correct rooms ready for the correct guests. Luckily one of us had not been drinking so instead of enjoying a lovely relaxing night in a hotel we spent 3 hrs on the motorway driving home. To say I am angry and upset at this does not even come close, a lovely day and special treat ruined. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!

Room was upgraded for free on arrival. All the staff are a pleasure to deal with. Lovely setting. Breakfast was delicious especially the hot egg options, we went for a cheese omelette and eggs florentine. Can’t really fault it, would be happy to come back.

Afternoon tea was delightful and a birthday surprise. We were running really late but no mention of time we had to finish, staff and manager allowed us to stay as long as we needed to make up for it which was fantastic. Tea was delish and food inventive and tasty with great flavours.

This is what i sent to the hotel. So far they have not even responded. How they have had good reviews is beyond me. This is the worse Xmas we ever had and to not even get a response from the Hotel (complaint sent 27.12.23) says it all. Hi I am sorry to have to write this. I did a lot of research with you and said I wanted this to be special. I went to the reception desk and was told this was the best place to write into. I was going to fill in the feedback form but felt there was too much to relay. Firstly the Christmas dinner We paid Β£135 each for this Christmas Meal – I compare it to a cheap pub mediocre roast. How does this warrant Β£135. Thick cut of meat – not sure even if Turkey. But tough! Suspect processed meat. Roast potatoes made with new potatoes – what a let down 2 sprouts? No stuffing???? Yorkshire pudding from a frozen packet The cracker was from a pound shop. Just coffee – no mince pies or chocolates or anything special. Table setting one flower. For that price I would have expected luxury. We were shoved in the middle of the dining room away for the rest of the parties – which were only 4 filled tables. There were other tables that had not been cleared between us. There was not ambience at all. My mum is 91 and I wanted to make it so special – I so regret booking this now. This is the worst Xmas Dinner we have had since I can remember. Then the apartment. The electrics in kitchen are a fire hazard – please see attachment. Fridge freezer was off with door shut so smelt. You never leave a fridge off with a closed door. Luckily there was another fridge. Settee had no back to it and was so uncomfortable. No extra chairs to sit at table. Blinds in Main bedroom were a mess and seem too big for window. Lack of basic utensils and workspace in Kitchen. Even though spare walls – missing a trick there. Shower floor broke on second day – only showered in there no jumping or anything. Garden area unkempt and leaves and rubbish outside. The bacon was recooked and the sausages were of low standard produce. So hot could not change the heat settings. When he came out he said you can change thermostat via the radiator. The knob came off in his hand and he said oh? For a 4 star hotel you would expect more. Premier Inn does a better breakfast. I ended up have cheese and crackers and melon. For a four star hotel – the building is beautiful but so many cut corners. I spoke to reception and he was very defensive – no customer service. Sorry but our experience was awful. I have written to you first to see what you are going to offer as we will want compensation. At the very least the money back for the dinners as we left most of the main course and it was not an experience I expected. If not I will be taking this further. Thank you I await your response. Jacqueline

I to say I was a bit disappointed given the price. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the room had some issues. The blind was propped up against the window and came down on me when I tried to close it, the radio alarm was set to 6am and woke me up (I would never think to check this) and the walls are paper thin, so much so that I was kept awake up by the snoring of someone in the next room! These are all relatively minor things, but for the price of the hotel I don't expect this sort of thing to happen.

Went to a birthday party there but did not stay overnight, so can't judge rooms. The building is lovely in a green area but quite difficult to reach by London Transport, hence taxi. The reception called a taxi to return to "civilisation" and the minicab turned out to be a swindler; no meter, no price up front, only cash and announced after we were in the middle of nowhere. The service at the party was professional but the drinks were low quality and what was drinkable ran out in minutes. Coffee had to be paid.

Lovely room, quality linens and pillows. Beautiful building and grounds near to Richmond Park. Quite a bit of building work taking place at the moment building an orangery and refurbishing. Will be amazing when completed. Service not as good as usual. Surprised that the last orders at their bar was at 1025 and then they cashed up with no more orders. Food service a little lacking this stay. Lukewarm breakfast, asked if wanted eggs when had nearly finished. No option for way steak was cooked at dinner, arrived super well done. Usually really good. Staff very friendly and polite.

So unfortunately, for my stay here, I had the luck of it being on the coronation day of King Charles. As a result - the price paid for two nights here was 390 pounds ($440 US). Not worth it whatsoever. Even today, with the $120 'deal' I'm seeing on Google, I really doubt I'd consider that worth it either. The main issue was the room, primarily the bed. In addition to the room being small, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The mattress was ridiculously firm and felt very worn, to the point where the coils/springs were digging in to both me and my lady. Neither of us are large people, and it just felt like the bed was old. The bathroom was pretty tiny too. With the door open, you could not access the sink or the shower. Which was fine, but with two people, it just slowed down getting ready. The water pressure in the shower left a lot to be desired as well. And, as a man, the fact that the toilet seat would not stay up without being held... well, that was annoying. This was visibly due to cramped conditions. I will say that the front desk staff was friendly and courteous, and we did not visit the bar or the restaurant or partake of the afternoon tea. So, perhaps we missed out on some things that could have bumped this review up another star. But again, just wasn't worth it and not a great experience.

Visit for a celebration lunch. Great garden for assembling, with well set up tables for eating inside. Pre chosen main course had changed to a less substantial dish with no vegetables. Dessert was very pleasant. Coffee apparently not ordered, so left before it appeared. Had not stayed, so bedrooms not rated. Apparently very well used for company training.

What a beautiful hotel in a perfect setting. We were greeted by a very helpful young man. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed for a night's stay. We went to the garden in the evening and my husband went to the bar to get a drink. There was no one on the bar and several people were waiting so he had to go to reception to ask someone to come. He bought the drinks and was charged for service. No idea why as he collected his own drink. We didn't have dinner here but had breakfast the next morning. There was a good choice of English or continental. The staff were very helpful. Service was good. I would recommend this for a special occasion.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff but work to be done No doubt location, amenities and ambiance is very good. The bedrooms are well equipped and the beds are comfortable for a good nights rest. The gym is small but ticks the boxes while the (circularish) pool is warm, compact with depths ranging from 1.2m to 1.4m. The bar area is cozy and fairly well stocked with choices of beverages while the restaurant food quality is excellent. FYI, there is no elevator in the hotel. Overall, an enjoyable stay (of 4 nights) though there is definitely room for improvement and hence the star rating. These I have given directly to the hotel rather than highlight those in a public forum.

Really enjoyed my stay. Great customer experience and gentle piano music in the seating area relaxed me after a hard days work, and I would recommend it highly. The room was excellent πŸ‘Œ.

My family and I went to the hotel for afternoon tea. The food was good, but it was not outstanding. The service was the most exceptional part of the experience. The surroundings are pleasant, with the grounds laid out well. It is difficult to find (my car sat nav could not find the directions!), being down a private road by Combe Golf Course, and no signage on the main road.

Attended my friend's wedding here. What a lovely venue! Absolutely beautiful grounds. It felt so much more rural than it's location. The food was beautiful quality and the staff were very helpful and hard-working. The most perfect day!

A delicious afternoon tea on the terrace at Warren House Hotel. 1 vegan and 1 everything else! An extensive list of teas to choose from. We chose a pomegranate and a mint herbal infusion. Presented with a timer for perfect personal taste! Waiters & waitress were charming. We explored the gardens of this victorian manor house too & found a lovely hidden sunken garden. Highly recommend a visit.

A lovely grand historical venue with amazing picturesque gardens. We attended a shared Xmas party as two couples joined by 3 other companies having their Xmas party. The staff were amazing and attentive, the food was great and the atmosphere and entertainment was great. Everyone had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to share a party and make some new friends. We didn't stay over so can't comment on the rooms. A special mention to Grant Chatfield, events manager who was extremely helpful and accommodating when we were booking and also gave as a lovely welcome on arrival.

We held our mum's funeral reception at the hotel and although this was a sad occasion we were able to celebrate her life in this lovely place. The reception room was beautiful, the gardens stunning and the food delicious and plentiful . The staff were absolutely charming and gave impeccable service to look after us. Highly recommended

Visited first time a few days ago. The location & the building were very good. The gardens were excellent. Rooms were done up nicely. One was decent size while another was too small. The food was very good overall.

Took mum for a weekday afternoon tea this past week. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, the staff were friendly, but the restaurant staff were the most attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble as they explained the menu to my nearly blind mother. The asked several times if we had allergies, and even though we don't, I really appreciated that they took the time to check and double check. The sandwiches and the scones were blissful, and the cakes were extraordinarily inventive, beautiful and tasty. It has definitely made me want to stay there next time my family come to visit.

On Sunday, 21 August 2022, my husband and I attended a Dinner Party for our friend's Birthday, at Warren House Hotel, and chose to spend the night there. Warren House Hotel is a beautiful Victorian Manor House with tranquil, landscaped gardens. Ii is easily accessible by car and there is free parking on site. Being a hot summer day, we had chosen a room on the first floor, with the added luxury of air conditioning. The Reception staff greeted us with a warm smile and helped to take our luggage to our room. It was a large room, with traditional interior design, with a comfortable King bed with soft pillows. There was Tea / Coffee making facilities and also a small refrigerator with complimentary bottled water. The en-suite bathroom had a large walk-in shower, and complimentary toiletries were provided. Hair dryer was also provided. There was a flat screen TV in the bed room. The owner and the staff of Warren House, had planned every single detail of the party, with great care and precision. The initial drinks and cocktail reception was held in a large room. Alcoholic / non-alcoholic cocktails / drinks were served there with tasty and beautifully presented vegetarian / non-vegetarian canapes. The food was Indian Cuisine with a Twist and Fusion. The delicious Starters and the Main Course were a treat indeed - delicately flavoured and very attractively presented. The Dessert was not over powering and was a delight to eat. Birthday party will not be complete, without mentioning the delicious cake. The music was provided by a very talented vocalist. He entertained the guests by singing Tamil, Hindi and English songs and everyone joined in the dancing. The ambience was great and the cool air from the air conditioning was an added bonus. The next morning, although there was a big spread at breakfast, we had some fruit, a croissant, a crispy hash brown and a hot cup of aromatic coffee. On the whole, we had a wonderful time at the party and enjoyed our stay at Warren House. We are planning to bring our seven year old grand daughter to Warren House in Spring next year, so that she can visit Richmond Park and enjoy the vibrant colours of the Azaleas in full bloom and see the deer with their new born ones. We would like to thank the owner and the staff of Warren House Hotel for making our stay and experience a memorable one.

We had lovely stay and enjoyed the meal. The room was very clean spacious and with a traditional look including a beautiful ceiling fan. The bathroom is very clean and spotless. The view to the garden is calming. The reception staff was very courteous and helpful. I don't know what adjective to use to compliment the food. The chef is great and the food was tastier and simply great with mouthwatering choices. We enjoyed the bar and food...All staff were very courteous and helpful. The hotel location and hotel with its beautiful gardens is amazing...I am certainly going to go again. Amar

We held our Civil Partnership here and it was perfect. Beautiful venue, delicious food and wonderful service throughout the entire day. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and helpful. It is a superb setting, full of character which added to the occasion. All our guests were impressed and we were delighted with entire experience. We would recommend Warren House Hotel without reservation.

This hotel is beautiful inside and out. The old building is picturesque and the grounds are amazing.. The inside is just as lovely. The staff are fabulous and couldn't do more for us. They are chatty and friendly. Breakfast was great and a nice selection. The location suited us and was just a 5 minute walk from Richmond Park.. The facilities were lovely and the pool was great to cool down in and because we arrived early we were able to use all facilities before our room was ready and it was lovely that towels were provided at the pool.. Would definitely recommended and return..

We have had a great 3 night stay. The service has exceptional throughout the stay. With 3 kids it was great that the pool was heated well so they could enjoy the facilities. We tried the cheese fondue menu for the adults which was fantastic, fresh veg and meats with more than enough for all. It was a 5 star fondue. The kids had the Halloween afternoon tea which brought the fun to their food. It's been a great stay and I'm sure will we be back for Christmas. PJ
