Great food and nice service, we chose to sit in one of the three sheds/booths outside. Sadly our time was somewhat spoilt by two young children who were left unsupervised by their parents in this same area. In the booth next to us they made a camp on the floor using the cushions provided having now grown tired of using them as footballs. Whilst laying in their camp they repeatedly kicked the table which made it difficult to hear our own conversation. We made the staff aware. However, this put them in a sensitive position since the children belonged to one of the managers who was sat at the bar blissfully unaware of the bad feeling left by his unsupervised badly behaved children.

For our needs, (Visiting Kew Gardens) this was even better than expected. Very quaint & comfortable room , with a lot of interesting touches. Larger than expected & a roomy clean bathroom. Staff very helpful and friendly. Meals/drinks in the pub were well priced. Great place to start our vacation. So very impressed with the whole experience

Great family pub with tons of flair. Try the black pudding scotch egg. It's amazing! The roast garlic and olives are also out of this world. Super friendly staff

Review of food at The Queens Head, Went with family for Sunday lunch, excellent food, great service, good value for money. Good atmosphere in pub, feels just like a pub should be, friendly atmosphere. Would visit again if in the area.

Went for a meal not a stay. Lovely atmosphere. Took a little time for the food to come but it was delicious when it came. Fish and chips and steak and ale pie were a real hit.

As usual welcoming atmosphere and pleasant food and drink. Walked in 2 minutes into the Eng v Fra game, got a couple of spaces at the bar, 2 pints and fantastic fried squid with chili and coriander. Such a difference from another establishment just minutes before...

I have been to the Queens Head for meals plenty of times and never had a bad experience. Today we went with my two kids to celebrate my partners birthday. The food was delicious - we had some amazing tasting starters and the Sunday roast as a main - but - the portion of meat was the most ridiculous amount I have ever seen. Two very thin slivers of meat and a whole plate of veg. When I order roast beef I'm expecting roast beef and not some beef cut to the size of two slices of ham. I'm expecting 50/50 meat/veg and not a 90/10 ratio. If the £20 price doesn't cover the meat, please charge more... The waiter was also a bit too busy because he just kept forgetting things. We asked for some pens for my little girl to do some drawing - which he never brought. When he served the mains he didn't ask if we would like to have any sauces with the food. And he didn't remember and never brought us the dessert menu when we asked for it. @management this is not a way to run a Fullers pub.

We stayed only for 1 night and had breakfast but we loved it. Very strategic position in Kingston. The pub was lovely and the staff very nice.

Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a 10 minute walk from Kingston station and the town centre. The room was ok but the carpet needs to be updated as it was very old , all en all we enjoyed our stay.

This past weekend we hosted my friends birthday at the queens head and it was amazing! The hospitality of the staff was so welcoming. We did bottomless brunch which was such good value for money and the food was perfect. Anna was extremely friendly and professional. The decor is lovely, would highly recommend for a lunch out. Look forward to visiting soon x

This is a very comfortable, well appointed ,old English pub with all the extras that made us feel very much at home. It is situated very handy to Kingston and its transport links. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

Review for accommodation - fantastic room, complimentary beer in the fridge, good facilities. Would definitely stay again

Best Peroni in Kingston. Stuart the GM runs a tight ship. Eleanor the deputy is bubbly and accommodating. The staff are on it. The food is typical Fullers fare done well. It’s the best traditional pub in Kingston, hands down. My parents always rent a room here when they’re in town and rate the rooms highly. If you want to watch big international rugby or football games the pub can accommodate, without it being a sports bar. If you want a solid roast, look no further. If you just want to enjoy a beer at the bar, you’ll usually end up having a nice chat with some of the erudite locals or the friendly staff. Great beer garden. Decent weekly offers. As a North Kingston local I’m lucky to have the Queens Head on my doorstep. I just wish they had San Miguel on tap…

We went there for a Sunday roast. 4 adults, 2 children. We paid £178 and, no, we did not drink much. Only a jug of Pimm's to share which was full of ice! The roast itself was below average in quality. Pork was dry, potatoes overdone, broccoli as raw as just collected from the garden. I have been to this pub several times over a decade but it has drastically become more and more appalling... don't go there, it s a rip off!

Enjoyed a short break in order to see Kew Gardens and Wisley Gardens. The rooms could have been cleaner, attention to detail needed. Kitchen smells lingering throughout the accommodation needs sorting out. Very pleasant courtyard garden with plenty of welcome shade. Enjoyed a cooked breakfast but disappointing dinner.

Really nice bar. Friendly staff, good selection if drinks. We had a leaving drinks do and it couldn't have been more chilled and easy.

Outstanding. We stayed here for a night, the room is beautifully decorated, super spacious, and well furnished. Complimentary mini bar with items of quality from the alcohol to the selection of teas, coffees and chocolates. The bed is another level of comfort, had literally the best night in years. Paid for dinner which was excellent as well as the cocktails. They offer a delicious and generous free breakfast buffet + free cooked dish, accompanied with a free hot beverage and large selection of juices. The team is super friendly and the pub is absolutely lovely. They also offer free car park. I would add an extra star if I could as it was better than any hotel room I had before. Incredible.

My wife and I stayed at The Queens Head in Kingston recently and it was great! Everything from the staff, to the room, to the food exceeded our exppectations. We would definitely stay here again in the future and highly recommend it!

Lovely weekend lunch! The menu isn't extensive but there is enough choice and nobody felt they had to compromise. The kids menu was very good, plenty of options to cater for simpler and more adventurous tastes. The triple cooked chips, these days almost a pub cliché, are worthy of a special mention! Clean plates all around. What more can you ask for?

Stayed here for a night, and got a complimentary breakfast as well. There were so many complimentary things in our room - chocolates, alcohol, tea etc. which I really liked since I have a thing for freebies (I really enjoyed the complimentary beer). I also had a chance to try the restaurant after checking in and the food was surprisingly really, really good. The staff were friendly and helpful too. I had a very pleasant experience.

Our stay was comfortable and we were always very well taken care of in every way. The rooms are beautiful and the inn downstairs is very well-accommodated with a very high quality complimentary breakfast. Special shout-out to Nia, who was at times serving tables, minding the front desk, and managing accommodations. In addition to being unflaggingly friendly and professional, Nia consistently went above and beyond in ensuring good service. This included coming to our room to make sure everything was properly stocked and minding our bags a little past check-out on the last day of our stay. She also shared the secret of the delicious croissants that are served with the breakfast buffet. My girlfriend and I had a grand time and Nia's excellent service was the cherry on top. Thank you Queen's Head, and thank you Nia.

2nd time I've eaten here in recent weeks for a special meal. Had specials, shepherd's pie and cote de beouf, beautifully cooked. The deserts were great. The food is resturant standard rather than a pub. Staff were lovely too.

Booked an overnight stay here and was really glad we chose it. Had our own car parking space which made it really practical for us. The rooms, bar and outside space are all dog friendly and the staff where great with him as well, ensuring he had water and treats when we were downstairs in the pub. Jason was brilliant, solved a problem with our room and upgraded us to a different one and he was really friendly and chatty and made sure we were fine for food and drinks. And Elliot was great as well, made sure we were happy with the food and kept checking to make sure everything was fine, we also had a great chat with him as well. Both are a credit to the pub. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. The room itself was immaculate and really modern. There was also a blond haired girl who was working on the night who was brilliant with us and the really great with the dog too. Would definitely stay again.

I was surprised by this hotel bar being far better than I expected. Comfortable, good beer and food and the bar staff were excellent. Little to fault really I did not stay so I can't comment on the rooms.

For us visiting relatives living in Kingston, this is a real central place to stay. The rooms are in a separate block just at the back of the pub, so quite. The breakfast is good and all freshly cooked. There is a small car parking next to the pub, however one can park in the local side streets and it's all very safe in the area. Value is good. This time we had their disabled room, which if one is disabled, offers great space and full easy access facilities.

Such a fantastic local pub, we go here several times a month. Staff are friendly, service is excellent and the food is also really good. Always happy after a visit here. Would highly recommend for drinks and something to eat. The outside area is also really nice.

Driving by on our first ever visit to Kingston upon Thames, Queens Head caught our eye and we loved the look of the establishment from the outside. A quick look on Google maps confirmed a 5 star rating so we decided to give it a try. What an amazing little spot to try for lunch. We were welcomed by a very friendly South African and as South Africans ourselves it was great to hear a familiar accent. The menu was mouth watering, the restaurant inviting and neat. The children enjoyed their beef burgers, my husband is ready for take Felix home because the fish pie was that incredible and the salmon dish I had was absolutely delicious. There was such a lovely ambience and you felt so welcome. We will definitely be back to enjoy the Fullers hospitality again. Thank you so much

My best mate and I had a drink in the pub this evening and were served by Harry. He came out to check on us regularly even though we were the only ones in the garden. A true gent and a very smartly dressed lad. An asset to the pub and a charming geez if I do say.

The beer (London Pride) was in excellent condition, the burger was good, and the vegetarian katsu curry was ok. Very good service, value for money ok. Not the excellent experience we had on our last visit, but still an enjoyable midweek lunchtime visit.

It’s not easy to find a dog friendly place to stay in London and the Queens head is very dog friendly. We walked out of a heat wave and into lovely Victorian, hipster chic themed decor with air conditioned rooms. The host and bar Manager Jason, upgraded our room at no extra cost. A lovely comfortable bed and cool room with Victorian design hints. The service was Excellent and the food was very good. The bar was lively and the atmosphere was one of warmth and welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

An excellent pub.It has everything you want from a local pub: friendly staff, comfortable surroundings including an outdoor area with heated booths and a wee children's play area.It is also doggy and child friendly and has a decent range of beers and other beverages.Unfortunately,I don't live nearby but if I was remotely close it would be my go-to pub.

A pretty decent pub with slightly above average beer selection and okay food. The atmosphere is nice, and there's a decent space in the beer garden for kids. I'd recommend as somewhere for families, but potentially not first dates.

Fabulous, friendly staff. Great breakfast options. The room was lovely and you are within short walk of a cracking sushi restaurant, shops and railway station to head into London. Can't recommend highly enough.

Booked this as we was working away for the day, staff are very welcoming and polite! Rooms are spacious and well designed, best hotel I’ve stayed at while working away from home. Great choice of beers and a good breakfast in the morning with the selection of cereal and coffees to start the day. Would love to come back, Thanks

We had an amazing time at the queens head. Only stayed one night, wished we would’ve stayed longer. What amazing service and attention to detail. The room was great and fit our whole family comfortably. The beds super comfy and the amenities were great. No hesitation to stay here again. Actually will be staying here again when in london. The pub is great with amazing food and beers. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast there and loved every one of them. The breakfast was amazing. The porridge was divine. The team was great, nice, and so attentive to every detail.

Went to the pub for lunch. Liked everything. The dishes are tasty and good variety for everyone to find something they like. Some nice healthy options available as well. Which is great. The staff are very nice too. Will come back if around the area again.

My wife and I recently stayed at The Queen's Head in Kingston and honestly I cannot say enough good things about the place and the people. Kitty, Eleanor, and the rest of the individuals we had contact with went out of their way to make our experience amazing. Plus, in our humble opinion, they enjoyed their workplace and it showed in their demeanor. From the room to the food to the overwhelming hospitality - honestly, we wished we would have stayed there longer. Of note, there are 4 parking spots for guests but you do need to request one if you're driving. Fortunately, when figuring out our parking situation, Kitty made accommodations for us to take one of the spots. Even so, there's ample parking nearby.

I was horrified that our party of 5 ( who were all staying at the queens head)was turned away for food and drinks for simply attending a rugby match at Twickenham We hadn’t been in the premises all day yet they were happy to take our money for the our rooms. Our plan was to go back to our accommodation for food and a couple of beers but we’re forced to another pub down the road. We wasn’t drunk or unruly, in my opinion if you can find somewhere else I would!!!! A very nice place but the costumers service is shocking

  • 1/5 Dani B. 1 year ago on Google
Unfortunately, night 1 after attending a rugby match we returned to the hotel for food and drinks. At which point we were refused, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and food with no explanation. The tiles in the bathroom were falling off the wall, windows in the bedroom taped up, the flooring in the bathroom lifting up, stained armchairs and carpets. Certain staff had very bad attitude. We booked a deluxe room with a double bed, ended up with 2 singles. We made a complaint. Considering we had booked 3 rooms for our party, so £600 we left angry and will not return.

Came in to enjoy the a beer in the sun. The bar ladies are so friendly and awesome, beer was good and the food was delicious. This place is very underrated and a bit of out of the way but worth a visit. I will be beck to explore the menu further.

We absolutely love it here, service and food is exceptional! I would highly recommend the Queens Head - the staff here are all so lovely, one lady that really stood out in particular was Eleanor, fantastic from start to finish. Thank you Eleanor for making our visit to the pub brilliant. We will be back!

We visited the pub on 13th Jan. The experience was alright, but we got charged twice, the first time the manager said it didn’t go through. But before we left the pub we saw our bank account showing 2 debits. We were told it would auto correct. We’ve called 4 times since (& personally went to the pub to complain again) but unfortunately still haven’t got our money back. I wish someone would take note and actually refund us our money!
