We
did
the
Introduction
to
Paddlesports
course.
Our
instructor/guide
was
Esme
and
she
was
briliant,
really
friendly,
extrmely
knowledgeable
about
the
sport,
the
site,
and
the
environment
and
she
was
extremly
patient
with
both
my
wife
and
I.
Although
it
was
a
very
cold
day
(circa
8
degrees)
we
were
given
sufficient
wetsuits/clothing
to
keep
us
warm
and
were
comfortable
throughout.
We
got
instructions
and
training
before
we
went
out
on
the
water,
which
meant
that
things
were
a
lot
easier
once
we
were
out
there.
We
had
previous
holiday
experience
of
kayaing
but
being
taught
properly
made
such
a
diference.
We
had
2
long
trips
in
the
kayaks,
with
an
interlude
for
lunch
and
then
(at
our
request)
a
little
go
on
paddleboards.
Again
we
got
full
instruction
to
the
degree
where
we
were
able
to
stand
up.
As
a
location
to
learn
it
is
brilliant
-
sufficiently
large
to
have
a
good
old
go
at
it
but
not
too
rough
and
not
so
big
that
you
are
ever
too
far
away
to
get
back
to
shore
if
you
are
getting
tired.
There
was
an
instructor
"shadowing"
Esme
(Rebecca)
who
was
also
very
nice.
Everyone
was
so
friendly
and
the
clubhouse
was
good
too
with
adequate
changing
and
toilet
facilities.
We
will
be
taking
this
sport
forward
and
look
forward
to
getting
out
on
the
lake
again.
