Invicta Wednesday Wigglers took a Harley-Davidson ride around Kent, endingvupvat The Anchor for Lunch. Attentive service was given to us all and everything from the drinks service to the food delivery was excellent. 13 of us were treated to a lovely meal to suit all tastes, with a variety of food that was cooked to give us a tasty lunch. We will return soon.

Tonight was the night of many young talents. Feels great to witness history in the making as these kids will certainly follow the Canterbury music tradition 🥰 Pub small, historic, definitely needs doing up. But how the noise, the music is not heard from outside beats me 🤣

Popped in here on the way to stay in an AirBnB near Ash and glad we did. I had the Beef, Brie and Red Onion Jam baguette and it was amazing. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere, meant we really enjoyed it

We had a lovely Sunday lunch while at The Anchor Inn in Wigham, we both said that it was the best meal we have had in a long time. We had real home made Yorkshire pudding, plenty of veg. The parsnip had been coated in honey, and the gravy was rich. It was so nice that we booked the next Sunday meal, even though it meant that we would be later leaving on our very long journey home. We'll done.

Had two fabulous meals here with my husband, while on our recent holiday to Kent. Service and food were so good on our first visit, that we returned the following evening. Can definitely recommend and would choose to dine here again if in the area.

The very best Sunday lunch in East Kent nothing but quality in a proper country pub the staff both fully professionally and friendly I don't think one would get better anywhere. Good choice of food and drinks.

Open mic night experience at this pub. Firstly, the parking was great. Although the car parking space in front and the car park opposite were full, there was plenty of on-road parking. The pub itself was a well kept old style village pub and the staff really friendly. Great atmosphere, which you tend to get with village pubs. The open mic session was fab and the sound was surprisingly well engineered and a good variety of local acts. An overall great experience 😊

Great place to eat as the food is absolutely amazing. The staff are so friendly, they cannot do enough for you! I had to meet the chef and I glad I did as we got to meet Charlie, she is an asset who truly cares about what she does and it shows in her food.

3 of my friends and I walked in, got greeted rather harshly for lack of reservation, wasn't too big of a deal. They told us to just sit wherever we liked so we chose to sit in the garden, they said it was fine. We chose a table and waited there. After a while no one came so I went inside and asked to order. They took my order and started to prepare the drinks. They then gave me the serving dish and told me to take it out. I was a bit confused but I took it out. They then did come and take orders for the food. The food came out and I have to say it was really nice and relatively ok prices. At the end of the evening the waitress came out and told me to bring the dishes back to the bar. Seemed to me like rather lazy service but I complied and we all paid, no trouble splitting the bill. Overall the atmosphere was nice just needs an improvement in the service.

Visited The Anchor Inn for lunch and was blown away by the quality. Hard to believe their light lunch is 3 courses for £15. I had the liver and bacon for my main and it was delicious. So too was the whitebait which I had for my starter. Unfortunately I had to share my apple crumble and custard with someone who swore blind they were too full to do a pudding justice.

Private party event upstairs. The staff are lovely and efficient. The only downside I experienced was parking availability. Being a bust Saturday evening in a village pub on the High Street. They do have parking in front for up to I'd say 10 vehicles. But once that's full it's wherever you can on the high street or car parks.

Friendly, welcoming pub. Great selection of driving and non-driving drinks. Varied menu came with a super tasty burger and prawns too. Big garden with games available too and what looks like a constant stream of live music too. Will be back.

Fantastic little pub, lovely friendly service and amazing food. Everything was clean and the lady at the bar very welcoming. We had sizzling prawns, two fish and chips, and a ham, egg, and chips. The fish was extremely fresh and flaky and the batter wasn't at all greasy. The chips were great and not greasy for all the meals, and the prawns were huge. Very well priced and lovely atmosphere, would definitely visit again.

Brilliant family pub, took the family and our dogs. Staff were so helpful and obliging. Good beer with Harvey's on draught! Down to earth food options. Will definitely revisit, also want to have a go in the bar billiards table, not many left these days.

Great village pub. We spent the evening here with the father of the bride before a big wedding and had some good pub food in a jolly atmosphere with very friendly staff behind the bar considering how rowdy we were. We would definitely come again if we were staying in the area...

This is such an easy place to be … and very obviously well frequented by the locals (that includes us I’m pleased to say!). The big garden or lawned area out back is perfect for community activities, Charity boot fairs, lunch, brunch or whatever - it’s a nice place to just ‘drop by’. We had a tasty Sunday Lunch (mine gluten free) - 2 courses £20, 3 courses £24, and then stayed to listen to the band for a while. Always lots going on - live music is quite ‘a thing’ at The Anchor! Inside it’s a lovely country pub with comfy sofas, a real fire in Winter and hops hanging from the old beams - so happy it’s now ‘our local!’

Only live down the road from this pub and Iv been missing out! We sat outside, watched some people tidy up after a bootfair, then watched a band setup. Lots going on in the evenings, clean, nice selection of beers, food looked lush. Will be returning to eat soon. Parkings limited but has a car park opposite, or can park on the Main Street. Would recommend

A lovely, friendly pub that welcomes all. We always make a point of stopping by when we're passing. Roaring fire, attentive staff, great food, cold beer. Our favourite ☺️
