Stretched too thin, both on space and experience. The birds look okay, despite the mixing of multiple species together in large cages. Really upset by the reptile section, hence my low rating. Different animals of this nature shouldn't really be visible to one another, let alone in the same vivs. The tortoises look to be in sawdust which is likely to cause breathing difficulties - Use the tortoise substrates you sell! The chameleon shouldn't be on the ground, requires plenty of climbing space, climbing branches and a good level of humidity and I saw none of those boxes ticked. Being in the same viv as tortoises is ridiculous, they have completely different needs and it risks disease spreading. The second star is because it is a great place to take kids to see some impressive animals, just not for an education on how to care for them - especially the exotics.

Lovely to see the new store, well stocked with dog stuff, clean and a nice atmosphere. However, I was disappointed to see that the staff weren’t wearing masks, especially given the current covid figures, and decided to leave. Please wear masks to protect yourselves and your customers.

Just brought my hamster from there and the staff was very helpful and efficient. The staff made the process very easy for me as they were open and welcoming. The hamster is healthy and active - he seems very used to people and is quite calm despite his first day here. This shows how responsible and caring the staff is. I will definitely be a frequent customer. :)

Absolutely lovely store staff here are always so kind and friendly. It’s wonderful to be able to purchase high quality products locally and not have to resort to the big box stores and lower quality. Had incredible service from Mathew (sorry hope we got your name right) picking some new feathered friends couldn’t have been any more helpful. Can’t recommend the store enough to anyone looking for new pet pals. It’s especially lovely that large parts of the store are permanently turned over to housing rescued animals. Delightful little pet shop, it’s got an impressive variety that I haven’t seen even in bigger chain pet shops like petsathome. Had a blast looking at all the birds and got some advice along with a toy for our new pet budgie too. To whoever reads this review, please give the cockatoo (Harry or Henry?? I forgot his name) a pet from me. He’s very sweet.

A brilliant new store with the same fantastic but expanded team from the old Pets on the Parade. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. They have just about anything you could think of when it comes to pets.

The staff here are so warm and friendly. I received the best customer service , with no doubt I will definitely visit again. They were so reassuring and calm with all my problems/questions. I felt so welcomed as soon as I entered. I definitely recommend this place.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in here, I knew the store prior to its move to its current location, the service has always been amazing, but the new store looks modern and well stocked, they were very knowledgeable about the products and pets they have, what they didn't know they were honest about, marine tank set, but helped point me in the right direction of who to speak to. Overall, I was very happy about my visit and came away with a clear plan of what I wanted and needed to do.

Fabulous shop. buy all my birds from them, if they don't have what i want they get it for me. i have 4 aquariums, buy all my fish/pumps/food from here. got four dogs and a cat. get all my food here. one stop pet shop. great prices you cant deny that. knowledgeable. will continue to use.

Great local pet shop on the parade with super friendly and knowledgeable staff/owner, always willing to help and answer questions. A rare find for a pet shop nowadays, lots of birds, fish and even a talking Minor bird called Millie. So much better than the big corporate pet stores everywhere. Even sells plants and veg plants too. Highly recommended!

Great experience - I bought my first Guinea Pig from here a few days ago. I wish I had gotten the staff members name because he was extremely helpful in explaining the housing, social and dietary needs of a Guinea Pig. I'd picked out a cage in the back staff room he showed me but went out of his way to look for an even better cage that cost less than the one I originally saw because it was bigger and had a built in hutch showing a genuine care for the happiness of the animal over profit from a more costly cage that had less for the Guinea. He helped me pick the best food, bedding and treats as well as talking me through the social needs for the animal before confirming the purchase, ensuring the Guinea had everything it needed. He was also the first to ask me if I needed anything when I entered the store first browsing. All in all it's clear this store has the welfare of their animals as their number one priority and train their staff well. Couldn't be happier and the same can be said for my Guinea Pig who is running about happy creating tunnels from hay and enjoying his favourite treat which I discovered is Tender Stem Broccoli.

Huge variety of pets. From birds to guinea pigs, fish to hamsters. All in excellent, clean condition. Very well cared for. Matthew and his team are running a great shop!!

This is an amazing place, with super friendly staff. A neighbours cat dropped a goldfish in our garden, after knocking on doors to finds its home, with no success, I called pets on the parade, and asked if they would take it in. The chap I spoke with, was super friendly, and said he’d put it in his pond at home. After dropping it off, I looked around with my daughter. They have such a variety of stuff, the shop is so much bigger than it looks on the outside. Amazing and friendly service.

I’m Not Happy. I bought a coral from the Marine Section, by that Evening the coral was died. All my other coral was fine so they Can’t blame my Water Quality. Furthermore the coral I bought was a soft Coral which is easy to look after compared to the Hard Coral I have in my Tank.

This is a great store and Josh, the manager, really knows his animals and fish. We spent ages just looking at all the fish and birds, and Max got to pick some doggy treats to take home.

Very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. They have been in the community for many years now, and they just keep getting better and better. They don't have everything in store but can certainly help where they can. My niece and nephew love looking at all the animals, especially Minnie the Mynah bird and all the fish.

Very nice people who love the pets. A shame i could not but this rabbit due to travel commitment. Hope she found a house.

What a fantastic shop. Tons of pets in it. Seems more focused on pets than products for pets, but has a lot of both still. It was a magic experience seeing all their birds. Loved the place.

A lovely pet shop with all the birds and animals within it rather than in tiny cages decent sized aviaries and pens the impression I got was that they actually care about their animals and are also able to advise if needed, which is what I actually went there for

We come here often for our pet's supplies. The the new store is lovely with more choice and more animals. I sometimes just pop into see Henry and Minnie. Staff are friendly and helpful

Lovely people and a lovely shop. They welcomed me and my puppy in the evening before closing and answered all of my questions. They were so helpful and friendly and were so good with my nervous puppy. There is a great selection of products and lots of delicious treats for the dogs that I haven't seen anywhere else. There is also a menagerie of other pets in store (rabbits, fish and birds). Thank you - and we will be back!
