TLDR; highly recommend 👌 Like others in these reviews, I was also a tourist in Porto when I needed my hair done for an upcoming wedding. Went to Gomes because of other people’s reviews about how friendly he was, the quality of the service - and also how easy it was to book an appointment. All of these are true - he’s a really lovely guy running his own salon (his wife also does hair on the same premises) and he was SO flexible with timing that I really felt like he cared. Seeing my before pictures - it’s pretty embarrassing I let my hair get to that state, but Gomes fixed it & at a really fair price. Five stars - recommend to everyone.

Super happy with my result: we did treatment, long hair massage 💆🏽‍♀️, cut and really nice blow dry!! All in all, I am super happy with the result and Gomes friendliness just rounds the whole visit up! His salon is also super clean and relaxing to be in it! Perfect blow dry! Gomez was excellent, I don’t think I’ve ever got such a perfect blow dry before, given I have quite thick hair, I was worried. But I got the best blow dry I’ve ever had. I highly highly recommend!

What a great experience ! To begin with, Gomes is a real professional and knows his work. I got a keratin treatment and the results are absolutely fantastic, I finally can enjoy my hair… he is very gentle (I am super sensitive, and I felt no pain) the products that he uses are good and also the he sells are in comfortable price. The salon itself and the atmosphere is calm and have space. Highly recommended, so glad I found this place.

Gomes diagnosed my highlights, which were faded and too light and suggested a beautiful ombré which went from chocolate brown to a more caramel color at the ends. The color is gorgeous and his haircut was perfect for my curly hair, lots of volume. Also - he totally pampered me with a wonderful shampooing massage and is very friendly. I highly recommend!! Antonio was super professional. I came to Porto for a couple of weeks and desperately needed to make a haircut and color the hair. In another country it's hard to make a decision to go not to your hairdresser and i was nervous. But Antonio made the whole experience amazing! It was easy to make an appointment and discuss the price over Whatsapp in very good English. When i arrived he made sure i am comfortable and gave me water, we discussed again the details of the color and cut and had pleasant conversation during the cut. And the result was amazing! i highly recommend Antonio Gomes for any type of hair procedures! will certainly come back next time i am in Porto!

Gomes and Elizabeth did an amazing job on my hair. I was very nervous as I am traveling from Australia. Due to sun exposure my hair turned orange and brass, Gomes and Elizabeth corrected this and now I love my hair! They explained the entire process with my so I was comfortable they understood what I needed. Very good English as unfortunately I cannot speak Portuguese. I booked here an appointment during my stay in Porto, I wanted to dye my hair, and I am very happy to have booked here! Elisabete was very sweet, her touch very relaxing, and the atmosphere calm and professional. The price was super accessible, and the timings just as scheduled. I could book from Whatsapp, and even if I can't speak Portuguese we were totally able to communicate in English while writing, and added a bit of of Spanish and Italian for conversation as I received the treatment. Super recommended :)

I made an appointment from the U.S. for an upcoming trip to Porta based on reviews from this salon. I received prompt replies and Gomes fit me in on a day and time that worked. In addition I wanted my longish hair cut very short and after it was cut I asked for an opinion on highlights. This is where Elizabeth stepped in and I received highlights. Both Gomes and Elizabeth were the nicest professionals I've come across. Both went above and beyond in helping me with my hair and in giving directions and encouragement. Can't say enough about this except make the appointment. You'll be glad you did.
