👍 We did the port sampling here! All of them are actually really good! We tried 7! And some of the ones that they pour, they use a sort of sifting system, which was interesting to watch. Service was amazing! Ambiance is great. It’s not as big as Taylor‘s but still pretty…. I was surprised when it was... People often mention port, tasting,

Service was amazing! Ambiance is great. It’s not as big as Taylor‘s but still pretty…. I was surprised when it wasn’t that busy when we went…. There was one group there, that did the whole shebang with food and everything, but when we went, we were kind of full already. But not full enough to not try all of the ports! I would definitely come back here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Fonseca. We did not want a guided tour of a winery as we've done that type of thing before, so the excellent displays covering two large rooms at Fonseca were ideal for us as we could read the information at our own pace. The variety of the displays were great and written in both Portuguese and English. We then finished off with a Port tasting which was delicious. Thank you for a lovely visit on a rainy afternoon!

We did some Porto tasting in town. Really enjoyed their "Terra Prima" organic port. It's a bit different than your usual port. Seems a bit lighter and fruitier. Perfect for some warm summer days. It's really a great port and we didn't wanna leave town without it. So we came to this tasting room here, a bit hidden away in the back. The tasting room is very classy and stylish. Staff very friendly and helpful. We didn't spend much time, since we already knew what we needed and it was soon closing time. But surely a cellar / tasting room to come back to.

Enjoyed the self guided tour; fairly basic port wine tasting experience.

We just went for a glass of wine and walked around with a glass of very tasty port, it was hidden gem and we truly enjoyed it.

We were brought here during a tour and were extremely happy with the experience. The port cellar guide was very knowledgeable, distinguished, and polite. We learned so much about wine making and the history of the establishment. It was very interesting. All the aging barrels and kegs found here were actually in use and functional, which added to the experience. Excellent tour followed by a delightful port wine tasting at the end. Exiting the building you have an amazing panoramic view of the city.

Very friendly staff and a relaxed experience away from the centre with all the crowds. Visited twice for tastings as we loved the port and the atmosphere so much.

It was impossible to locate....think WOW, in the back. Google maps has you climbing stairs and is vague until you see the tasting room. 20 and 10 year tawny are the best!!

We popped in during the weekend in early January. It was empty/ no other customers but we decided to do a tasting. Staff were lovely, the space was nice, ports were yummy.

Only went to the tasting room and not the cellar tour - Was a super cozy atmosphere with very nice port wines.
