You have to be extremely respectful and take distance but the history and the amazing views are just perfect, if u want to get souvenirs it's less expensive if you get them in the airport shops. The ticket for the park last ten days but there's two places that u can go only once so make sure that if you get there u see all the attractions before leaving, I don't recommend three days trips because the weather could suddenly change and u won't be able to leave the house, if you go to the caves prepare because once you get there you have to walk alone and find everything by yourself, the caves entrances are tiny and scary but seeing the view inside worth every second.

Rapa Nui National Park is a national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site located on Easter Island in Chile. Rapa Nui is the Polynesian name of Easter Island. It is absolutely fascinating to see the various platforms(Ahus) and giant statues(Moais) in the different parts of this national park. One needs to buy a pass which costed my family, around 80 USD per person. The pass can be used for several days and at all tourist attractions within the national park. One gets a good grasp of history on Easter Island by visiting this national park and with a local tour guide. Certainly would very highly recommend visiting the same, at least once in a lifetime.

Once in a lifetime! The national park is a huge open air museum and you should bring enough time to visit the most important spots. Explore the island by bike or by car, if you want you can book a tour. A ticket for 60 USD is required for any spot of the park.

An absolutely amazing place. We went to as many sites as we could. We hired a car and drove to the sites ourselves. We did not do the organised tour because it's not our thing. You have to buy a pass to enter the sites. You can buy them at the airport when you arrive but if you miss that there's a place in town that sells them as well. My favourite sites are Ahu Tongariki - this is a great site for photographers who wants some sunrise shots, Ahu Tahai - great site for sunset shots and the ambient with all the sunset watchers is magical, Ranokau - the old volcano crater with Orongo village is a pretty amazing site and my fourth favourite site Ranoraraku - the quarry where all the moai were carved from was stunning.

There are many reasons why visitors from around the world travel to Rapa Nui. The main one - are the Moai. Stunning and every bit as inspiring as promissed. One tip for your trip: rent a car, you can get a Suzuki Jimny for c100.000 CLP for 3 days, where a single tour guide trip ( one day) costs you 40.000 CLP per person. Especially economical if traveling with a few people. The one time entry ticket to the park ( Single ticket for the entire Island ) is $80 USD per person. With lots to see you will soon get your money back. Loved the Moai, loved the people, loved the nature and the weather. A gem.

Incredible views, nice people, when you arrive there is a good possibility that you will be recibed with a flower collar, there is a lot of logographic inscriptions, so be watchful, mind the solar screen because there are little trees because of the story of the island. Be on the lookout for the pu o hito, an often overlooked rock that is of vital importance on the history of the island, it has holes that if blown, producers a sound (please don’t touch or try it), it was beloved to cause rain, so may ears where fought over it. don’t like any kind of disrespect to the rules of the park, wich is understandable, breaking any may mean the expulsion of the park or even the island. No cellphone signal in the most of the island, and there are many good historical advice in the internet so be sure to read it beforehand. A lot of horses in the island, be careful because they might apear from nowhere. Moai are very fragile, so please don’t touch any, as they may get damaged or even fall over you. Also, taking stones from the island is Forbiden. Ana kena is the only beach in the island.

I didn't realize Easter Island was a police state, where you need to be accompanied by a local guide. Can only get there from Santiago. No thanks! The place is fascinating of course, but it's too remote and not worth the effort to get there, if you can't even explore on your own. They need to make more flights to other destinations. At least re-establish flights with Tahiti, so you don't have to go through Santiago.

Wonderful ahus and moai. Mysterious history. However, be aware that they require a guide to be with you at all times, even for the smaller sites, which makes renting a car and exploring on your own impossible.

👍 Archaeological site where before there was a village of people of economic level. Currently there are only a few stones that remind us of the house-boats and it is quite isolated. It is not easy to reach, although the path is indicated. Of course, it is next to the sea and there are very good views...
