TOUR
OF
AUTODROMO
ENZO
E
DINO
FERRARI
CIRCUIT,
IMOLA
During
March
2019,
I
fulfilled
a
long-standing
ambition
by
visiting
the
Autodromo
Enzo
e
Dino
Ferrari
circuit
in
Imola,
Italy
to
pay
my
respects
to
the
late
Formula
1
racing
driver,
Ayrton
Senna.
Travel
to
the
circuit
was
extremely
easy
using
public
transport,
even
for
non-Italian
speaking
visitors
from
the
UK.
The
visit
included
the
following:
(1)
Photographic
slideshow
of
Ayrton
(2)
Two
lap
tour
of
the
circuit
in
a
minibus
which
included
three
stops
(pit
straight,
Ayrton
Senna
memorial,
and
the
Acque
Minerali
corner)
(3)
Visit
to
a
pit
garage,
TV
studio
and
the
podium
There
was
also
an
opportunity
to
visit
the
restaurant
and
gift
shop
(which
incidentally
features
an
Alonso
Minardi
and
a
mock-up
of
the
1994
grid
with
die-cast
models).
The
tour
was
brilliant.
All
the
staff
I
met
were
extremely
helpful.
Elisa
Mazzini
was
wonderful,
continually
assisting
me
with
all
of
my
pre-visit
email
queries
and
on
the
day
of
the
visit
itself,
Agnese
Comissari,
proved
to
be
an
exceptional
and
engaging
tour
guide,
demonstrating
knowledge
and
passion
about
Ayrton
and
the
circuit.
Throughout
the
tour,
which
lasted
approximately
2
hours,
we
never
felt
rushed
and
we
were
allowed
to
enjoy
time
on
the
circuit
and,
of
course,
time
at
the
Ayrton
Senna
memorial.
I
thoroughly
recommend
the
experience
and
will
be
visiting
again
in
the
future.
Thank
you
to
all
involved.
