That version had animal meat so yea, maybe that’s why I didn’t like that one much 😄. This plant-based version was delicious! My partner tried the Francesinha for his main which he thought tasted quite good albeit unusual, although probably not something he would order again as a dish in general. The meal and drinks were good value for money overall. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was quite bustly. Our table was a bit cramped in next to another table but it did not feel too intrusive. I would recommend this place to others.

I was curious about the francesinha since the traditional Portuguese version is meat and cheese heavy. The Kind Kitchen version is substantial and delicious replacing meat with seitan zucchini and eggplant. It was wrapped in vegan cheese and came with a delicious tomato based sauce. There was also a side of crispy on the outside soft on the inside fries. Did not come either the usual fried egg (of course, being a vegan restaurant) but the dish didn’t need it. Super yummy and filling! The beer was a perfect light accompaniment. The Americano was strong but smooth. Serving team was young enthiusiastic and helpful.
