I love this park! I visited for the first time. Lots of on street parking however if it gets full there are car parks close by and really cheap - around £2.00 for all day! Can pay cheaper for less amount of hours too. The park provides a little train ride for all families to enjoy around the park - a small charge of £1.50. They also have water sprinklers where children can enjoy wet play. It ilreally is lots of fun for the whole family. SAND area is lovely and clean. They also have an aviary with lots of hens, chickens and budgies - fantastic. Stamford Park have lovely gardens full of bloomed flowers to enjoy a lovely scenic walk as well as ice cream vans to enjoy. Highly recommend to all!

A lovely park, great for walking, running, talking to the ducks and spotting the rabbits and squirrels running round. Also, it's a nice walk around the boating lake and chads. A great day out in the summer time with a picnic 😁

Nostalgic visit to a park i frequented as a child. Sorry to see birds and rabbits are no longer there, nor were the beautiful rose beds, but the tree planting instead looked lovely. Duck pond brought back many memories. More improvements to greenhouses much needed.

Beautiful park. Well cared for with beautiful flower beds, a scenic walk by the side with streams, mini waterfalls and a lot of foliage. Loads of toys in the playground, sand, zip wire, water fountains. Public toilets are clean and modern but only open at certain hours. Probably the best park in Manchester!!!

I visited on my return journey from Glossop and called off to reminisce journeying as a young child. I saw the ducks in the fenced off pond as well as the abundance of grey squirrels looking for food everywhere. There is a cafe for refreshments etc as well as washrooms facilities. A busy and child friendly play area can be utilised and I recommend you take time if you can, individually or with family to enjoy it's characteristics.

Really big park with lovely surroundings. Water fountains for the children to play in. There are boats to hire just across the road, which are good value for money. Little train that drives around the park and is not too expensive.

Not been here for a few years love the new cafe and toilets, it's been modernised. I enjoyed the walk wish I'd of taken nuts for the huge amount of squirrels I saw, my dog enjoyed it too.

Came over to see the granddaughter & she wanted to go to the park so we took her. First time we'd been because we live the other side of the country. This is a little oasis in an urban jungle. There's the usual park fixtures, such as swings etc but there's also a series of fountains for the kids to keep cool in. There's quite large onsite café as well as the usual ice cream vendors. The park is really large, has a little train to take you on a tour, yes it really is that big.

It's a beautiful place to visit with a boating lake, aviaries, play areas for big kids and little kids and some lovely short walks. Not to mention bowling tennis football and a cafe. It's also got a train and ice-cream in summer. It's just unfortunate that the botanical house has died a death ( shame on you shameside!)

Stamford park, got to be 5star, Took my granddaughter and her friend today and got to say how impressed I was. The water feature that the kids could run in and out off was brilliant, the sandy play area was giving them plenty off entertainment, we could not fault it. All free, well done that council for keeping the part so lovely to walk about in. Maybe Salford city council should visit the park and see how a council can entertain children without the massive cost of theme parks, I would have given the park 6 stars if I could have. We will definitely be back 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Nice place to take the little ones. Playground for the very young on a 'beach' and good selection for older kids. Big enough to find a quiet place for a picnic and have a wslk and little cafe for refreshments. The duck pond needs a bit of work and a couple of areas were a bit scruffy.

Such a lovely park, it really has something for everyone. Several different play areas, a huge sandpit, formal gardens and wooded areas and water fountains that the kids can play in. There's also animals, crown green bowling, a little road train and a cafe that's both nice and reasonably priced. The only bug Bear is theres no proper car park but you can usually street park or park at the council car park which is only a short walk away.

For a small park this place has much to offer. Families gather at weekends and holidays, but there are also times when you can find peace and quiet, good for the mind. Throughout the year as seasons change the views can be inspiring from springs cherry blossom to gold and red of autumn

Not been to Stamford Park in over 30 years, and only one building i remember from childhood remains standing is the John Nield Conservatory which is abandoned in use. It was a giant greenhouse. i have forgotten that it has bowling green, gardens, a bird house with various birds. In addition the park has its own dingle - a woodland area, childrens play area, gardens and even the old statues etc. Stamford Park Pavillion has a cafe where hot and cold drinks are available and maybe snacks are readily available for purchase. Toliets are situated within the pavillion, but you need to check opening times accordingly. i spotted a land train circulating the grounds which handy but dont know how often it there or cost. overall a nice little park for families, groups and friends

Great event every year, spoiled only by the huge queues for the toilet, the one ice cream van, the one cafe. Maybe a few mobile food stalls would help and a few porta loos....

My favourite park locally, its near and just past Ashton-under-Lyne. Towards Stalybridge. Because it's under Tameside council they look after It well. Beautiful tulip display in high/early summer. Very interesting and diverse in its attractions

Duck pond play park, zip wire, gardens, flowers and vast play areas and paths the dingle is a great walk a well kept park, this park has a lot to offer for everyone ,there is parking on street all round the park and a pay for carpark near the boating lake .where you can hire pedalos. All round great park even in all weathers.

Lovely park! Really big to say it’s near a city centre! At the top it has a play area and a 5 a side football and basketball court! It has a lovely cafe but I don’t think it’s open because of covid, theres nothing bad to say about it.
