No stars would be a truer picture of the poor care given here. GP did not tell me what he was diagnosing and left me with no treatment. Disgraceful. How I feel since making a formal complaint... things have gone from bad to worse in the way staff have treated me. They should have just told me that they did not like me making a complaint and would I leave but instead I have been treated so badly. Final straw today when the receptionist, with a bit of medical training and a flowchart to follow, told me that she though the doctor did not need to see me even though NHS 111 said for me to see GP urgently. Of course receptionist in front of a flow chart is much more reliable than a fully qualified nurse! Any way she insisted I did not need to see a doctor and would not book me in with one of her preciously guarded ones so I pushed and pushed and she finally got me in with a doctor at the hub. Five minutes into the appointment I was being told I needed to go to A&E, that I could not drive and they would call an ambulance. I just hope that one day one of these receptionists does not end up with a death on their hands after giving bad advice that they are not qualified to give. This is not the first time they have given me poor or incorrect advice but it is certainly the last.

Her name is Sofie, receptionist, and she is definitely in the wrong place. Is not the first time I speak to her in a good manner as I was EDUCATED for. Because it is all about education. She has been rude AGAIN. Lacking EMPATHY, and the minimum of sensibility that her role needs. I won't tell that was because of my accent... I don't want to believe it was but anyway. You are ill, suffering from pain, diseases whatever, and the minimum you can expect in a clinic is RESPECT! You don't go there for fun! Besides I'm not asking for a favor. I pay my taxes to have the rights to be treated fairly! I don't need smiles but RESPECT is very appreciated and this lady is in the wrong place! I did speak to the manager this morning and won't give up until people can be respected at that place!

I must say that the receptionists leave a lot to be desired, they should not be in customer service. Once I called because my daughter was vomiting and with a fever of 37.5 and someone told me that this was not a fever that was the normal temperature for a child, I had to take my daughter to the emergency room because they refused to give me an appointment. And so many more....the superiors in charge should listen to the telephone calls to make an appointment with the patients. It seems that they have to pay what a medical appointment costs.

Shocking service. Receptionists are rude. I didnt want to use the self check in and the receptionist was very rude because she had to actually do some work. Prior to me buzzing for her attention she was drinking tea and eating biscuits. Can't get an appt. Can't get through on the phone.

I brought my son with nasty symptoms. Seen 3 different doctors within a week, full blood tests and other tests performed. My son ended up in hospital. Dr Ahmed, Dr Ali and doctor O'Brien I can't thank enough. They all went above and beyond for my son. Wishing him a speedy recovery and keeping contact with results etc. Got same day appointments each time I called, the receptionists have been fabulous also, rushing us through when it really mattered. Yes there's a lot of patients and the surgery gets busy but the care and dedication we've received has been second to none and I will be forever grateful for the way my son has been treated.

Terrible receptionist - extremely rude and unprofessional. I understand that the GP services are understaffed and underfunded but the attitude of the receptionist is unacceptable and deters people from getting the help they need. The receptionist actually attempted to give medical advice to prevent me from getting an appointment which is simply inexcusable. She was unempathic, rude and lacked understanding.

The GPs are actually fantastic here - but they are let down by their reception. It's nothing to with 'being understaffed' because GP practices get funding from CCGs for staff. Its the lack of training and poor management. The negative comments below are true, staff are rude and staff decide who to offer appointments to based off their own judgement - they are not clinical yet they are deciding who should see a GP and who has to try their luck by ringing the next day. Unfortunately, something like this where admin staff are clinically triaging patients, will only get recognised as an actual problem when there's a death and coroners inquest. And yes, Sophie and Katie are the rudest there.

Dr's are generally good, reception staff can be rude... Which is a shame, as they use to be a strong team when Dr Dench's staff were there. Processes, procedures and availability for appointments are extremely poor. We now opt for ill health or hospitals, as trying to get an appointment here is like playing russian roulette every morning. I've had times where I've needed an appointment and have called every day for 2 weeks with no luck. We're now looking for a new surgery after years of being here.

The Doctors are amazing but honestly trying to make a appointment at 8am is possible the worst. I don’t understand how there is no appointment and you can not book for any appointments and if by chance you do receive a appointment it’s 3 weeks after. The receptionist are honest so rude and with out care you feel like ending the phone and suffer in silence they give you no care and time and just make you feel like you’re matter is no concern and you have no matter and kinda feel bad for ring to get a appointment. Please don’t come here.

I SHOULD give zero stars. The doctors are ok , I hadn't got bad expierience WITH THEM but receptionist is rude ,she makeS me nervous and sick when I have to make appoitment.I don't understand why I have to explain longer THAN TAKES MY APPOITMENT WITH DOCTOR why I need appoitment .Why she decide OR I need appoitment or not.She doesn't listen. She works like a robot chat. Last time she arranged phone appoitment for my 3years old child and somebody called to me and sending us for Rochdale hospital for appoitment .I had message with adress but unfortunately NOBODY HAD SEEN THIS VISIT in system . I arouned 1 hour between children department, urgent and whithall surgery. I am very DISAPPOINTED. I RANG ON FRIDAY MAKE APPOINTMENT FOR MYSELF AND THE RECEPCIONIST ASKED LONG TIME ABOUT SYMPTOMS ETC and finally she SAID THAT SOMEBODY WILL CALL TO ME AND UNFORTUNATELY NOBODY CALLed.

Staff could do with either training properly or they need retraining, as different staff give different answers, went in .for prescription (Tuesday morn) was told it was with the doctor and to come back after 5pm did so then was told it's still with doctor and it could take 48hrs. Should of been told this in the morning (tue)so as not to waste my time to call in for a totally wasted journey. YOUR PATIENTS TIME IS JUST AS VALUABLE AS THE YOURS IS .!!!!!!

Due to pandemic it's not so easy to get someone on the phone, need to have patience. The receptionist customer service is OK (could improve) The building is clean and the reception spacious. The pharmacy is just next door. GP provides decent service and have been nice to me and good listener so far. Building has 2levels. I have an appointment for smear test next week so will visit upstairs for the first time.(will tell you more next round😊).

Well, I have been with wellfield since birth, but unfortunately, I find it difficult to get an appointment to see a doctor anymore. Maybe it's the use of phone consultation, but I've spoken to GP twice in 12 months over the phones, and I have seen the practice nurses more than a GP who's responsible for overseeing my health doctor or nursing staff no longer opportunities to build a relationship between patients and there GP more to do with meeting targets

We are aware that the NHS is under pressure or has been but this is no excuse for poor service or performances. Covid has been and gone, what is the excuse now. Trying to get an appointment for my son is almost impossible! Avoid.

Nurses are always friendly and considerate. However, it can be a struggle to get an appointment with a GP. And they do not do minor ops, for example (arm implant) like my previous surgery Ashworth Street did.

Since joining the Health Centre, I have always been treated with immense respect and care. Dr Tsang is exceptional and signposted to the right services in times of extremely stressful situation. I'll be forever greatful for all the staff and their support. I certainly recommend the Health Centre to others. Health Centre team keep up the great service. Many thanks

RIDICULOUSLY RUDE phone manners!....for someone who doesn't visit the doctors often phoning for an appointment can be a harrowing experience....like they are trying to fob you off no matter what!! Making you feel like you should suffer in silence! I don't believe that we should have to tolerate such horrible behaviour from anyone...changing to different practice!

My first time here at this surgery as I moved to Rochdale over 2 years ago. Heard nightmare stories about the surgeries in Rochdale, as I used to live in Worsley and was very happy with my doctors there. Rang up and told them my symptoms and they said you need to come in at 3:30pm to see the doctor as this needs to be treated and this is the only slot available. Drove over from work, a little late with the traffic but got seen by the doctor, who prescribed antibiotics. Fingers crossed that they will work

This GP surgery has been excellent for me, I like that there is more than one way to obtain an appointment. With poorly children I've been able to see a doctor on the day and have also been referred for further treatment/investigations promptly

Delighted with the service we have received since joining the surgery a few months ago. All staff are pleasant efficient and professional. Any queries we have had have been dealt with appropriately. We have been welcomed and invited to attend initial health checks and ongoing health checks. We have had no problems getting appointments. Highly recommend this practice!

I took my son to the doctor here and the doctor told me that I will send his prescription to reception if he doesn't get better in 4 days, take his prescription for reception after 2 days, from 9am to 5pm I called several times but they said the doctor didn't sign it and we don't have any emergency doctor, I explained to them my child has a fever and they didn't pay attention and didn't give the prescription. This morning when I went there to make an appointment with doctor at 8am , they didn't give him an appointment and told to send the prescription to Oldham Pharmacy, not even told which pharmacy. I told her, his eyes are infected and need to see the doctor but didn't give him an appointment.
