I
have
been
reading
reviews
and
seen
that
the
hospital
response
is
always
that
they
inform
patients
of
a
longer
wait
time.
The
opposite
is
true..they
go
out
of
their
way
to
deflect
questions,
give
unreasonable
time
frames.
My
husband
was
there
for
severe
back
pain
1
month
ago.
We
were
told
when
we
arrived
at
8
pm
that
it
was
a
slow
night
and
heād
probably
be
seen
within
an
hour.
But
what
really
happened
was
that
we
waited
two
hours
to
be
seen
by
a
triage
nurse
and
then
do
more
waiting.
I
explain
he
was
a
heart
patient
and
that
they
needed
to
make
sure
he
wasnāt
having
an
attack.
They
agreed
to
do
an
ekg
and
give
him
some
Tylenol.
After
waiting
from
8
pm
until
2
am
next
morning
I
approached
the
nurses
window
for
a
status
update.
I
complained
about
the
fact
that
everyone
we
came
in
with
and
done
that
came
after
weāre
gone
but
no
one
could
tell
us
when
we
could
get
a
golden
ticket
to
the
back
room.
The
nurse
actually
said
āa
lot
of
those
people
probably
left
because
they
didnāt
want
to
wait
longer.ā
What
a
confession
from
a
nurse.
I
went
back
to
waiting
room
where
a
woman
who
had
been
waiting
8
ours
in
pain
asked
for
a
nurse
to
remove
electrodes
so
she
could
go
to
another
hospital.
It
took
an
hour
for
someone
to
do
that.
I
wanted
to
leave,
but
my
husband
is
a
heart
patient
and
wanted
some
answers.
Well,
the
only
answers
I
got
was
that
there
were
no
beds
and
not
enough
staff.
At
about
5
am
they
rounded
a
bunch
of
us
leftover
people
and
herded
us
to
a
back
room
so
that
at
least
we
could
be
more
comfortable.
While
waiting
there
I
overheard
2
nurses
talking
about
the
ER
wait
time.
(We
were
there
for
13
hours).
One
saidā
thank
god
for
Ashleigh.
Sheās
the
only
one
who
helped.
She
then
listed
5
staff
members
who
were
lazy,
incompetent
and
non
caring.
This
was
so
revealing
as
all
night
I
had
been
told
they
were
doing
their
best.
And
this
was
always
told
in
a
cold,
contemptuous
manner,
as
if
an
8
hour
wait
was
reasonableā¦forget
about
the
other
5
hours.
I
had
a
lot
of
time
to
observe
the
front
desk,
where
everyone
in
a
black
uniform
(about
6
people
sitting
around
)
were
having
a
good
old
time
eating
and
flirting
and
doing
absolutely
nothing..RI
should
consider
trading
some
of
them
in
for
good
nurses.
We
only
went
there
because
my
husbands
cardiologist
is
there,
but
never
again.
We
finally
got
seen
at
8
am
the
next
morning.
The
resident
diagnosed
Shingles
but
his
boss
said
maybe
something
more
serious
was
going
on
so
she
needed
to
order
a
ct
scan,
e
ray
and
blood
work.
It
took
another
2
hours
to
get
the
tests
done.
Then
waiting
for
the
results
which
showed
nothing
wrong.
So
we
left
with
nothingā¦the
Shingles
rash
appeared
the
next
afternoon.
So
the
next
time
we
need
help
we
will
go
to
Miriam,
because
his
cardiologist
is
connected
there,
as
well.
This
ER
feels
like
you
are
in
hell,
like
being
in
a
nightmare
you
donāt
wake
up
from.
If
you
DO
go
to
RI,
bring
pain
meds
with
you
because
you
canāt
get
any
there
while
youāre
waiting
in
pain.
I
hope
no-one
from
RI
answers
this
with
the
pat
statement
about
wait
times
and
their
desire
to
be
upfront
with
patients..
