This doctor's office does not follow up to date medical practices and they perform under the table illegal double insurance billing. Dr. Patel has had complaints filed with the Massachusetts Board of Medicine due to HIPAA violations and CDC treatment violations. I had to find this out the hard way. The office makes you pay up front, then they duplicate the bill to your insurance, so you're out twice as much money. Additionally, they provide non CDC approved treatment for common conditions which results in a useless visit because you'll have to go elsewhere for proper treatment. Lastly, the office employee is a joke and gives you the run around if you call about billing, issues, or follow ups. All they do is scam the local low income community out of money. Avoid them and go to a real clinic if you want proper treatment.

I called this clinic to ask a simple question about billing. I just moved here from Florida and I've had a sinus infection for over a week now that hasn't been addressed. My insurance doesn't kick in till tomorrow and I had a few questions. The woman was so rude and didn't even let me finish speaking before she hung up..

Very knowledgable doctor. Cares about his patients. You are not just another number. He goes out of his way to explain to you WHY and HOW your sick or experiencing what you are experiencing. Unfortunately, I see alot of doctors. Most don't act like they care. Dr Patel has saved my life literally more than once. Much recommended. Thank you doctor for your years of kindness, compassion, strength and patience.

The worst possible experience you can't even imagine. The only reason we visited this place because their doctor is accepted by USCIS. Place is EXTREMELY DIRTY, employees have no idea about sanitary laws, like it's 19th century. When doing blood test room was OPEN and they were taking a blood while I'm sitting on a hospital bed. All cabinets were messy, X-rays were done WHILE DRESSED and so on.

Illegally double billed me. They tacked on all sorts of services that did not happen to the second bill making it a whopping $556. I called to dispute because I honestly thought they had mistaken me for a different patient and they hung up on me. I filed a complaint with the Mass Attorney General. I’ll be seeking legal representation if the fraudulent bill is not withdrawn.

I went in with unexplained pain. Dr Patel did a batter of tests. He gave me some meds while went for a CT scan and mailed. When the results came back. He was very knowledgeable and compassionate. He directed me to a specialist. He said I did the research they can treat it. He found cancer. I have been cancer free for two years now. Thank God for him.

I don't understand all these bad reviews I unfortunately am accident-prone and I hurt myself on a regular basis it sucks but I've seen plenty of doctors this doctor is good and the receptionist was good and caring also. I was very happy here and that is why I am always going to come back !!!

I am not saying this because Dr. Patel is my doctor but because Dr. Patel is MY doctor I can say this with 100% confidence that he is a Doctor who cares about his patients first and foremost. I have been so happy with the way he takes care of me and his other patients that even when my insurance changed and he wasn’t a provider to my HMO I still continue to go to him regardless because my health and well being is my first priority. While in my opinion other doctors I have known over my 25 year medical career care more about the profit line. Not all but some seem to put profit over patients in my opinion. Dr. Patel doesn’t he cares about the person he is treating on a very personal level. Prime example was this past week I was transported to the hospital by ambulance and then to another one because I needed a higher level of care than the first hospital could provide. I sat in the triage area on my stretcher at RI hospital in the ambulance bay for almost 11 hours before ever seeing a Dr. Then once I did finally see a doctor they performed a series of tests and wanted to admit me for the weekend. I signed myself out AMA and went to Dr. Patel. I saw him right away without waiting and he performed a minor surgical procedure to relieve me of the extreme pain I was in, right there in his office. He gave me an anti biotic to ward off any infection and allowed me to go home all within 25 minutes. I left feeling a lot more comfortable that day. The next day even though I was soar from the procedure I felt 80% better and within 48Hrs I was back to myself. When I told other doctors of what had happened they couldn’t believe that a primary care physician would be willing to do so much for a patient and told me straight out that they would never do that. Again that is what brings me back to what I said at the beginning that he is a doctor who truly cares about his patients first. If you’re looking for a Dr. or want to change your PCP because your not being treated the way you should then I highly recommend calling his office. He accepts most insurances with the exception of a few. If you’re like me and care about your health then I would call his New Bedford Office you won’t regret making that call.

I came here after a car accident, and think they are great here. I love that there is the medical doctor, as well as the chiropractor right in the same office. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. I would recommend them if you are in a car accident/work injury or in need of one of their other many services.

I came to Metro Medic to get a medical exam for immigration purpose and I’m so happy that I just had such a wonderful experience. The ladies in reception were so helpful and SO nice, they made everything so easy to me. Dr. Patel was more than an excellent Doctor, he made me feel so comfortable even though at the beginning I was so nervous. I just have good things to say about this place and the people whose work here. I’d definitely recommend Metro Medic. Thank you to all the team you are the best.

The service was awesome. The nurse Deborah was extremely professional, kind and caring. I am usually very nervous with needles but she made me feel like I was relaxing in the beach. It was a wonderful experience and the doctor was very nice as well.

Went there after after a razor and my thumb bone become good friends, stitched me up and sent me on my way. Very nice staff. 10/10 would go again next time I mane myself.
