I can’t recommend The Baker enough. Every single week I look forward to Wednesday - Sunday. I will find any excuse to end up there. The Avocado Toast? Best around. Breakfast sandwiches? I have never had one like theirs. Pastries? Perfection. The Chicken Pot Pie? Amazing. Don’t even get me started on the Honey Peach Mango Iced Tea 😍 Every time I have walked into The Baker I am greeted like I’m a long time friend - you don’t find customer service like that at many places, especially around here. They produce quality food every single time. I have never left there disappointed! I’m only disappointed when I didn’t buy extras 🤣 If you want quality, this is your go to. I’d rather wait 25 minutes for a quality egg sandwich made with love than get something thrown together at another establishment that is basically the same price and produces, well, not so great food. Don’t let The few bad reviews get to you! (Easier said than done, I know!) You know what you bring to the table, and some people just like to complain for the sake of complaining. Keep being perfect and I’ll see you tomorrow! 🤣

"Oh my god! " Literally what I said after taking my first bite of my passion fruit danish, it was amazing! Perfectly baked pastry and delicately sweet. I also bought some croissants that everyone raved about and got myself a mini quiche for lunch. The quiche was delicious even though I ate it cold. This place would rival anyplace in Boston. There is limited seating, but you can order ahead of time and take it to go. Staff was friendly, there was one girl who was kinda snarky, but everyone else seemed very professional. Can't wait to go back!

My biggest regret about going to The Baker was waiting so long to go to The Baker. Seriously, I received a gift card LAST YEAR and ( mostly a me problem of forgetting about it ) just used it a few months ago but since then have been hooked! We make a point to stop in at least 2 out of 4 weekends a month and literally not one thing we have tried has been bad. The staff are amazing and my wife has had multiple short convos with a few of them while ordering or picking up and they're always happy and seem to really love where they work. I'd literally stand outside Black Friday style to get their specials. Keep doing what you're doing.

I’ve been going to The Baker since I moved to New Bedford in 2019. It’s one of my favorite places to pick up a treat for me and my husband. I’ve never had a bad experience there. All the staff are kind and some even know me by name (even when I’m wearing a mask)! I always look forward to seeing what they have because the staff and owner always create delicious food. It’s a shame that there are people who are so used to fast food turnaround that they can’t wait more than 15 minutes for food that is always made in-house and made to order. More for everyone else who has come to love and appreciate the hard work of the people who have built up this amazing European bakery then 🤷🏽‍♀️❤️ Also attaching photos of some of the goodies that we’ve had the chance to try and share with our loved ones who absolutely enjoyed each treat over the last couple of years. 🤤

Excellent pastries for sweet tooth! Croissant pudding, boston cream donuts and puff tart nutella are my favorites!

Cute spot with a well rounded menu. I got the smoked salmon bagel, an “Oreo” cookie, and a taro lavender latte with oatmilk. All were pretty good. Only slightly negative comment is on the bagel. The bagel itself was overpowering the flavor of anything else. The whipped cream cheese was totally washed out by it. The secondary flavor was the pickled red onions. Although one of my favorite things, it was the only other thing I could taste besides the bagel. Bummer. Service was awesome. My bagel was taking a minute. Two employees noticed and jumped on the person making it to get it out next. I’d come back! Check it out yourself!

Awesome food, and worth the wait when there is one. Great business and super friendly staff. Never had a bad experience and have been here dozens of times for breakfast, coffees, and lunch. Orders have always been correct as well as hot and fresh! Will continue supporting this local small business and appreciating the ways they have chosen to give back to our community, even beyond serving their delicious pastrys and sandwiches 😊

Kicked the day off at the Baker. Wasn't sure what I wanted, so went with a breakfast sandwich on a Asiago bagel with Swiss cheese, bacon and a side of Sriracha sauce. Thought it was pretty good and could have ended there. Also got a bacon quiche and the bread pudding. Both were also very good. For breakfast, I'd stick to the sandwich or quiche. The bread pudding is closer to a snack. It's sweet, salty and covered in chocolate chips. Bring a Quarter to feed the meter.

The Baker is the BEST bakery on the South Coast! They are killing it with the specialty donuts. Last week I had a strawberry cheesecake donut... To die for! My husband's favorite is a croissant with cheese, egg, bacon, and avocado. I love seeing the greater Victor's smile on the weekends. It warms my heart. The staff is very friendly and they always have a good vibe! It's always a good experience!!!

If you love pastries and baked goods, look no further. If you can't tell from the picture, my wife couldn't wait until after I took a picture before she dug into the box. Definitely try it if you have never been.

Everything is amazing here. We have never purchased anything we didn’t like. Today I decided to venture out a bit and get the California avo toast. It was the best thing I have eaten in a very long time. It hit all the notes. Highly recommend!

Best baked goods in America! Well worth the visit! The sour dough bread was amazing! You know it’s fresh because there are so many workers there during the day churning out fresh goods!

Our morning was going to end up at another bakery that turned out to be closed. A redirection of our morning turned out to be the biggest delight. The Baker stands out with their door greeter, Victor, setting the tone of the experience. Friendly staff like the cashier Joey and the kitchen crew make the energy infectious as other patrons start to converse and laugh, the positive effort is palpable. With the homemade baked goods, delicious drinks and unique options, there is not a bad thing to say about this place. Will definitely return.

I'm at a loss trying to come up with the words to describe how much I LOVE The Baker. Fresh, delicious pastry (sweet and savory), pizza by the slice, sandwiches, chicken pot pie (in season), hot and cold beverages, etc. You can taste the care, dedication and love they put into every bite. And as great as the food is, the people are even greater. Friendly, funny, helpful, kind, welcoming. Pro tip: get there early on the weekends. 😉

Come for the flaky pastry, stay for the killer specials. I got pepperoni pizza and a chocolate chip cookie for lunch today but could have devoured any one of their sandwiches or toasts just as happily. Their linguica cheese roll is my new go to plane food. Stop here once, be prepared to return again and again.

I had a great experience here. The food was great, from the Breakfast sandwich with homemade english muffin to the Lavender Tea Latte with Oatmilk everything I had was fantastic. The owner, Brandon, personally hands the orders to each person and their ambassador at the door was kind and friendly, as well as very observant and helpful. Thanks again for the experience, I will be back and with more people too!
