My mom is getting good care. Theresa is the new admin and is wonderful. She listens to concerns and makes changes when necessary. She is very involved with the staff and residents. Kirtland Rehab has gone through many changes in the past year for the better! It is cleaner, brighter (new paint). The visitor bathrooms could use an update. We had visitors come to see my mom and the bathrooms were an embarrassment. We have to keep on them to put in her hearing aides and make sure the batteries are working, I check them when I visit. Kristi is the best activity director. Denise and Colleen are attentive and helpful social workers who truly care. Deb and Charisse are excellent nurses. They finally have a hairdresser which makes my mom very happy!

My mother had a stroke and she was admitted to the rehab center for therapy. The morning nurses and staff are wonderful. The night nurse is another story. The nurse forced my mother to take a medication that her doctor took her off of because of the strong side effects that make her very ill and incontinent. The nurse forced my mom to take the medication when my mom told her several times she is not to take that medication and that it stated that in her chart. Within 20-30 minutes of taking that medication she had explosive diarrhea and messed all over the place. My mom called for the nurse to help clean her up and she just opened the room door and said you can do it and shut the door. Wondering how many times this nurse gave out medication to seniors that was discontinued. All the information was in my moms chart and still was not followed correctly. I called location and they said the management is in a meeting. I contacted corporate office and filled a complaint. The night nurse should be fired for giving wrong medication, she could have killed someone.

Very happy with the care my mom has been receiving so far. Only been there 12 days. This is like a family atmosphere. Everyone including administration pitches in whenever needed. Only issue is I was to do laundry and now all her pj’s apparently in laundry. Hoping they find as I bought her new warm sets. I marked everything with her name. They are looking for it. I had stated I would do her laundry. I think every facility has issue with laundry department. Hoping her items show up soon. This facility is older which is fine and it is very clean. Staff always so friendly and accommodating. Everyone has made my mom feel welcome and comfortable. That means so much. Very safe and secure feeling at this facility. Personally met Eric, Evan, Denise, Colleen, Tiffany who have been most helpful to me. So pleased. Thanks Nancy Soeder

Based on my personal experience with my mother's stay at this facility for a few months, I cannot recommend it. The care provided was well below the standard expected from a nursing home. Caregivers were not invested in providing dementia care. I often found my mother incontinent for extended periods of time and the staff became disgruntled when it was brought to their attention. She was put to bed at night in the clothes she wore during the day, only to find the day shift got her up with the same soiled clothes. I informed the staff that family will do labeled laundry, yet caregivers would send items anyway and countless clothes went missing. Substandard unit cleanliness. Toilet seats were often covered with feces from another resident. Dust and debris on the floor, particularly under the bed, were only swept when brought to the attention of the unit manager. When bed linen was missing, I was told they had a shortage. Safety issues included a broken bed that was not replaced for days, then it was later put back in the room. My mother's roommate's bed was pushed against a loose electrical outlet. My mother's bed was continually pushed against the wall and blankets were next to or on the baseboard heater. Despite trying to reach out, they ignored my calls to the Admission Coordinator, Director of Nursing, and Administration. Beware, Kirtland Rehab and Care do not match the Admission Coordinator's description.

My sister is currently at Kirtland Rehab and they have been great. She is getting the therapy she needs and all the help I have met couldn’t be nicer. They are super helpful. Thank you and God You All.

My mom was in there for 3 and a half weeks, horrible care, food was cold, not enough staff, she came home yesterday and nobody had my sister sign any papers or anything. Do not recommend!!

I’ve seen a great improvement in my mom, physically and emotionally, since she has been residing at Kirtland. She loves having her own space and feels at home. The staff is so kind and helpful. I am so happy wife chose Kirtland.

This place is absolutely disgusting I was there visiting a loved one of when I got to their room there was drywall dust all over the floor and all over the sink and dresser and I’m not talking just dust there are chucks of dry wall missing from the wall next to the bed and then I go to check if they had finally cleaned the bathroom in the room and it was not cleaned and it had a strong odor of urine also they are very unorganized with the laundry and other residents were seen wearing the clothes of my family member staying there even after repeated conversations of how our family will do the laundry. The nurses are sitting in the nurses station with the door closed while the residents are gathered in the common area while taking my family member to the dining hall I noticed someone had fallen in their room and had been calling for help and I had to get a nurse to help. Management is no help and will tell you what you want to hear but give no results. Do your research I would not suggest going there. Families struggle to pay $9000 a month to this place and receive piss poor care.
