Went here midweek for the buffet. Was a great selection and all hot. Was regularly topped up too. Definitely be back.

Visited with a party of 4 people to dine in. Food was superb, service was excellent and staff very friendly. Naan breads were a stand out favourite. Meat used in curry dishes was nice and tender, with no unwanted/chewy bits. Unfortunately no buffet was on at the time due to COVID. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Good price for meals given the high standard / quality of the food. Would recommend and will return.

Just awful. Been going to the Gulnar for many years. 3rd time in a row and the food is disgusting. No resemblance to what the dishes should be or were before. I’ll never order again and that saddens me.

Quite a disappointing visit having been coming here for years though not been since before covid. Chose buffet menu. Good variety of starters however it was lukewarm. Had better pakora elsewhere but chaat was tasty. When our starter plates were collected we were not given fresh cutlery for our mains but were asked to remove our dirty cutlery from our plates to use again. Fresh baked nan breads arrived which were lovely. Main dishes from buffet were lukewarm. The south indian garlic chicken had no kick to it at all despite being labelled as 'hot''. Dessert options were ice cream, tea or coffee. I would have paid for a coffee if the desserts had been decent. The beer was good. I think this will be my last visit here.

Spur of the moment booking. Warm welcome and invited to partake of the buffet. Lots of choice, all lovely. Staff are wonderful. Great meal. Thanks to all.

Really disappointed in our takeaway tonight...with everything so expensive this is our treat on payday but the quality of the food was shocking! Pakora sauce like water! Spiced onions the tiniest tub were tasteless and the 2 kormas we had the sauce again was like water and tasteless...I get everywhere making cutbacks and trying to make things go further but when you start messing with the quality of the food that's how you lose customers!!

Have a boys night out at the Gulnar and were not disappointed. Nice entrance to the restaurant up a few flight of stairs which sets the Indian atmosphere. Met by lovely helpful and happy staff and shown to our table. We went for the self service buffet which had been recommended and it was excellent value for money. Plenty of starters and main courses to satisfy everyone and of course you can go up as often as you like. All the plates were kept warm and refreshed by the attentive staff. Really good night out we'll be back.
