Just a small, wayside park, but it's a WWII memorial purchased in 1947 by the citizens of Elba. It has beautiful river scenery across from the Astico campground. They do have a porta-potty during the summer, a charcoal grill, a spring fed waterfall of sorts, and a picnic table.

We found a level paved site with 30 amp electric, dump station, clean hot shower, clean restroom, freshly mowed grass, saw Sheriff's deputy patrolling, felt safe, stayed 2 nights, would come back. Camphost couple very friendly, eager to help us register. Saw lots of flies but it's in farm country, so I expected it to be buggy in summer.

Nice area! My dad caught a white bass on the first cast. Then I caught one about 10 minutes later.

The camp hostess this year is a real stickler about rules. Don't break any rules! No matter the reason. She lies about the encounter when she calls the police, which then will fine you. Otherwise we've been coming here for a couple of decades and enjoy the campsites and all that nature has to offer.

Camped there in June in the tent only section of the park. The site was spacious and not buggy. Loved the artesian well. Very refreshing water. We also kayaked on the river and saw lots of birds.

My family and I have been coming to Astico for 2 years now. We have already booked 2 more weekends for next year. We absolutely love this place.

We did the right thing this year and parked our Class A in the proper place for Beer Camp and it was fantastic. Also I LOVE all the wonderful places to walk ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ

Nice affordable campground for the day visit that we had. It is right near a river which would provide some recreation for kayaks, canoes, and fishing. Bathrooms were decent for camping standards and sites appeared to be spaced out well and roomy.

Always enjoy coming here. It's a little bit of paradise not so far away. Very peaceful and clean. There was asphalt pads on many if the sites. The grandkids enjoy the nice park.

Letโ€™s seeโ€ฆ from the noisy highway thatโ€™s really close with trucks and their Jake breaks and other traffic, to the trains coming through blowing their horns at least 4-5 times a night at all hours!!! To even the ribs on the road to let you know thereโ€™s a stop ahead!!! To the noisy bar down the road with live music all night!!! To the very small sites with arm chair dads yelling at their kids all day!!! (and) early in the morning that โ€œPEOPLE ARE SLEEPING!!!!โ€ To the VERY NASTY pit toilets (used them before, not like these) to the very irritating staff driving the ATV around VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING!!! I was NEVER relaxed. They do let you bring wood in ( the only plus as for the 1 star) or this place would get ZERO stars!!! Iโ€™m a camper for 60 years now and have never been to a noisier camp ground in my life!!! Sites are way to close together!!! Totally bad bad bad!!!! Never going back to Astico!!!! Good Luck!!

Was a really nice campground really well kept and had hooks. Only bad part is the bugs that come out at night they are relentless. Tons of bites. But other than that great shade and all around nice campground

Our site was level but it appeared others were not. We were by the river but it was very overgrown so you could not see the river from our site. The sites by the river were slightly protected from the wind. The upper sites were not protected by the wind. The showers were ok but staff closed it for their personal showers (not during cleaning hours). They had a playground and dump station. Our site was electric only but there was potable water available at the entry.

I've dealt with loud campers. Camping trailers in the wrong areas. A double axle cargo trailer doesn't belong on a site with 10 people in the tent area. The highway is ridiculously noisy. Rumble strips next to a camp ground is absolutely great. The bar across the river is also great. Especially at 2am when the Harleys leave. Can you taste my sarcasm yet? Stay elsewhere but Not here. You'll thank me.

Campgrounds right on the river. I have only recently started walking here after work, so I haven't seen it when it's green out, but it's a nice little walk for me. One side of this peninsula has the county highway directly across the river, so if I were camping I would make sure to be on the other side of the hill from that.

Had a great time camping with my grandson this weekend. Park is beautiful! Many trails to hike. Great fishing! We will be back to this beautiful park! Thank you!

The park was well kept and electric areas were flawless. Has some nice, sometimes steep, hiking trails also.

Perfect for quiet mother's day weekend. Would've been better if water was turned on to camp sites. Was available at shower house. Lovely and Isabel next to stream and cemetery. We had site 49... Level

So we use the RV Dump Station here. It's $10 to get the job done. Just be sure you do the paperwork at the gate. (LOL!) Envelopes and a mail slotted box for your payment. I thought I might want to camp here sometime, but the river had a terrible algae bloom earlier this year so I didn't even suggest it. Will have to explore a bit more to find what else Astigo offers.

We had a great time! Wish the river would have been a bit cleaner so we could cast a bit better but otherwise everything else was great!

OK I guess I'll start with the first day we got there I had to deal a dead raccoon in our site myself because there was no camp host to be found. The crayfish river or should I say swamp is completely disgusting and smells anyway so we figured maybe noone else could smell the dead raccoon. We got there Saturday and didn't see a camp host until Monday. There's canoes and kayaks that are supposed to be there to rent but nobody to unlock them. Sunday we had to deal with homeless squatters who just helped themselves into our personal space and one in particular was mentally unstable and pretty much wish I had a gun with us. Not that it mattered because there were nobody to complain to. Really sad and disappointing weekend. Would of had more fun camping in my backyard

Nice park with some nice riverfront campsites and hiking trails but it's just too noisy to me for tent camping...definitely more suited for RV camping. It's right next to two highways and a busy railroad with trains plowing through from like 1 to 4 AM. Barely slept the first night. Also some really young couple walked through my campsite and acted like I wasn't even there...weird. I appreciate people respecting a camper's privacy. Might return to hike but probably won't camp there again.
