I went on the Carolyn's Caverns tour, and it was excellent. We were able to go crawling through tunnels and exploring caves, even saw a sleeping bat. It was a very informative adventure, the group I was with got to learn about how the caverns formed, and about how the rock they were made of was some sort of variation of limestone, called dolomite and that that particular area of rock spans over a hundred miles. Nobody got lost, and our guide was very kind and open to questions. There are ladders leading out of the caves for those who either wish to leave or who want to skip the long crawl tunnels and just walk over to the next area on the surface.

Family friendly outdoor experience. Lots of trails and the observation tower has great views- especially of the fall colors. The nature center was impressive and full of things for kids to read and interact with. There is a pavilion with picnic tables. Be sure to visit the red tailed hawk. The quarry area was fun for the kids to climb around. This was a great hidden gem.

I love this place. There is a good amount of hiking space. There are plants, trees, flowers that are labeled with metal placards describing what they are. The quarry area of the park is cool too. The climb down is a bit steep and there are steps. There is an area down there with water and toads.

Beautiful trails good for moderate hikers. Would not recommend strollers for more in forest walks. Beautiful colors this time of year and well kept. Will keep going back.

The adventure cave tour at Carolyn's Cave was sooo much fun! Our tour guide, Louise, was amazing, super friendly, personable, and full of information regarding the caves. I would definitely go back again. I also took a hike around the nature center. My dogs loved it!

Adventure cave tour was fun and the guide did a great job explaining the cave while ensuring everyone stayed safe. The price is reasonable at $10. The nature center is cool with snakes, frogs, and sturgeon as well as a display of stuffed animals from the area. Variety of trails from easy to moderate and some neat rock formations.

Carolyn's cavern what a great time exploring the cave. Louise was amazing. My only complaint smaller group size would be better. When you get 30 in the cave, very crowded & hard to really see everything. Yes if you like exploring you will get dirty.

I was there for there candle lit cave tour, which was very educational and fun as they had a whole cast of characters teaching you about different animals in the area as well as having the opportunity to get to walk and crawl a little through one of there caves, it was definitely worth the money for the tickets and I hope to come back and check out what there trails have to offer, especially the quarry trail that heads back to a quarry in the park, they also have quite a assortment of different animals with a really cool fish pond in the main center that's worth checking out!

Great hidden gem! Great nature center, nice hiking trails and the cave tours are really fun, and the adventure cave tour is actually quite challenging! If you decide to do the adventure cave tour be forewarned it is very, very tight so make sure you try the test crawl tunnel in the nature center beforehand to be sure you can fit through the openings in Mother's cave because they are very small and tight! Lots of belly crawling.

We were really looking forward to the cave tour, but they were doing a special Halloween tour, and we couldn't get in before that. We did look around inside at the various animals and displays they had set up, which were nice. They have a live catfish that will boop your hand if you stick it in the water. The snapping turtle tank seemed a bit small for his size, but the rest of the tanks seemed ample for the size of the animals inside. The woman working there (love Australian accents) was friendly. We would have liked to hike some of the trails, but unfortunately the weather was not being cooperative. It snowed a lot, and the wind was horrible. We would stop in again in hopes of getting to take the tour. 09/16/23 made it back to the area, but missed the cave tour again, lol. Although the skies were a bit gloomy, the rain held off long enough for us to hike the trails this time, at least. We had a wonderful afternoon here, and are looking forward to coming back again to hopefully see the caves.
