Awesome sangria!, the shrimp and octopus skillet was phenomenal, the aged steak was cooked to perfection, loved the sides, the pig special was not so great but we still ate it lol. Blueberry cheesecake was good and also the cappuccino. Edgar our server was very blah this evening and made us feel like we were a bother but everyone else that helped out was great!

Beautiful place, great professional friendly service, the food there is amazing and didn't take to long for the food to arrive. It is definitely a restaurant I will come back to again.

Serves authentic Spanish food, the people in our party enjoyed the food. Some did wish the food was more spicy or zesty.

Lovely service for ok food. The fried food tasted like old oil that everything is cooked in. The Short Ribs were flavorful.

Food was good, fairly extensive menu, special occasion type of dinning. We had red sangria which was pleasant. Dinning area was a little noisy, but got quieter as the evening progressed.

Solid all around. Never bad, but never blows you away. Atmosphere perfect for multi situations. Full bar, attentive staff (though looks like a whole new crew from yesteryears). We go every couple of years and had a Christenings here as well. Worth checking out. Should bring back the grilled calamari vinaigrette appetizer. Though it never was on the menu, a waiter suggested it once and it was the best dish they had.

I just moved to NJ and looking to find good restaurants. We tried dining here today and absolutely loved the experience. Food was exceptional and service was great.

Great as usual. Had the fillet, which was very tender grilled to perfection. Start with the garlic shrimp. You won't be disappointed.

We recently had our sons christening at Spanish Tavern of Mountainside and one word to describe it: amazing ! The food, service, attention to detail, availability for decor setup. Everything. Planning was simple and easy from the beginning thanks to Monica and Isaias. They made sure we saw everything through so that the party was exactly how we wanted. The amount of food and delicious drinks available in the party package was out of this world. Everyone is still talking about it a week later. The sangria was a 10/10 for everyone ! Can’t wait to have another event there and go back for dinner with the family.

Great service and great food. Hector was our server and took great care of us. The pace was nice and unrushed which allowed us to enjoy the food and conversation. The octopus and garlic shrimp appetizer were great and we had the filet and surf and turf which we would also recommend. The entrance was hard to see in the traffic and the staff in the outside section weren’t very helpful in pointing out where to enter the restaurant. The staff was busy talking with each other instead of paying attention to the customers which wasn’t the best first impression.

Great food whenever! Is that what you’re looking for? This place has the freshest seafood in the area, they also serve perfect meats as well, enough sophistication with a touch of homey. I highly recommend this place!

PROS: Very beautiful interior of the place. Looks very Spanish and even has the nice wait staff to accompany it. Their food was amazing and the prices were ideal. Loads of parking and has indoor/outdoor seating available. They have a full bar for whatever drinks you want, too. CONS: Their chicken noodle soup hardly had any contents in it, it was mainly broth. I won't let that small thing affect their star rating though OVERALL: I highly recommend coming to this tavern. I'm not a fan of spanish food but their variety goes beyond the normal latino selections. Don't order the soup and you're good to go

First Time ever !!!!!! We will come again !!! The Food was amazing …… The entries were very flavored and tasty !! The Estrella Galicia very refreshing beer ; especially for summer weather !!!!!! If you had an issue with any dish; please ask your waitress; don’t just leave a bad comment because a napkin was missing from the table or because the water was not so cool

Very popular place that does not take reservations so be prepared to wait. It will be worth it! The food is delicious and not your typical Spanish restaurant menu. Owner and Chef Jose will delight you with both traditional dishes like paella, and new take on classics like the lentil soup. The red sangria was devine. Overall a great experience. Good food, service and ambiance. Can't wait to go back.

Went to Spanish Tavern based off of my friends recommendation. Took my mother and mother in law here for Mothers Day this past Sunday and we all had a great time. Service was great, super friendly and very attentive! Enjoyed the Food! We had the salmon, paella, steak and veal. Drinks were delicious from the wine to our cocktails! The dessert we had was the perfect way to end our dinner! We had the Tiramisu, Dulce De Leche Cheesecake and the Lemon Sorbet. Our mothers were very happy and satisfied celebrating their special day 😁 ... and so were we! We will definitely be back.

Amazing food and excellent service! Everything from the soup to the starters and entrees were exceptional! Fresh and flavorful. Will definitely go back. Just wished I saved room for dessert….next time!
