Everyone in the shop was nice when I arrived to sample flavors of wedding cakes. The cake itself was fine, very light white cake, nothing much to comment on there. The fillings were the only difference. We opted for cannoli filling. I asked if they could do me a favor and make one of the tiers a birthday cake for my mom and they agreed. I told them our wedding colors. On the wedding day, when I asked the venue to bring out the birthday cake, the venue said it wasn't provided. The wedding cake itself was hideous... see photo. I really tried to be relaxed with my wedding vendors and opted to trust their judgment, but perhaps I should've been more demanding. I was looking forward to coming back to this bakery to try their other offerings, but unfortunately I was terribly disappointed by their work.

Awesome baked goods. Interior is an old school bakery. Bread and pastrues are great. Awesome eclairs, danish and croissants. Looking forward to trying other offerings. All have been scrumptious so far. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Sadly i must leave this very bad review. This bakery is selling frozen cakes..i bought a strawberry shortcake for $26!!! They told me it was “baked for the day fresh” when in fact it was frozen all the way thru…this is second time this happened. I thought to try again as last time this happened it was last year..same frozen cake this time around:(( . This is pretty outrageous as it has been sitting at room temperature for over an hour now and still we cant eat it. This is expensive for a non fresh cake. Also the lady behind the counter was rude during the sale when we had asked if icing can be added in a cupcake . Overall id say i wont use this bakery again. I can go to shoprite and get $15 fresh one.

This is kind of a sleepy bakery. But their pastries and donuts are wonderful. They’re the kind of place that you can ask for a specific pastry in the tray, but this will frustrate the person behind the counter and you might end up like Seinfeld and soup. 🤣 I asked about buying a dozen donuts and was shocked by the price. There isn’t a dozen discount or the like. You simply pay for a dozen pastries at a few bucks a piece. Kvetching aside, the pastries are wonderful and, for something special, i could see buying a dozen. This is also the kind of place to go early because i have the impression that they sell out in the late morning. Fwiw, coffee was meh.

If you're looking for a freshly baked French Baguette or crispy, delicious rolls then you've found the place! I've not had a baked item, yet, that I didn't like from the Swiss Pastry Shoppe.

We’re so fortunate have this little gem in the neighborhood. Swiss Pastry Bakery is family owned & been in business for decades. To this day, Swiss Pastry still makes the best old fashioned donuts hands down. And their rugelach is amazing (chocolate ones are my fave), other pastries, breads, cakes are also very good. The owner John is nicest man whom devoted his whole life serving the customers & this community, always supporting the local school / organization fundraising events. If you haven’t try Swiss Pastry, you’re missing out!

Poor selection & cake was stale. I went by mid-morning on a weekday. There wasn’t much on display but more frustrating-there was nothing explaining what each selection was. No description. Nothing. There was only two people working and I didn’t want to ask them to explain what each item was. There honestly wasn’t that many things on display-the cases were pretty empty. I asked for something chocolate, paid (it was a bit pricey) and left. Unfortunately the cake was stale. Really dry & old tasting. The whole experience was disappointing.
