DIVE, one star is too high. We did not get key cards to the room, he couldn't get them programmed. The room was dirty and smelled like smoke. There were no towels in the room and the towel rack was ready to fall off the wall. The door security latch was not functional, half of it was missing. I cannot recommend anyone to stay at this place.

Book somewhere else! I wish I could rate this hotel 0 stars or negative stars... the guy at the front desk tried his best. Besides that, the service was awful and the hotel was trashy. After a room switch and lack of communication between hotel management staff, someone else had access to our room. Came back to find that management had moved all of our stuff out of the room because the room switch was not recorded. In the process, some of my stuff went missing (nice perfume, lotion, toothbrush). Very frustrated- will be contacting coorporate offices and filing a complaint. Could write for days about this horrible experience. I repeat, BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade/remodel. Got in room light bulbs missing, broke, holes in wall, bathroom door doesn't close it's dragging on floor, room doesn't smell fresh, the freezer in fridge is frozen over can't even put anything in it. I understand the hotels cheap but some of this stuff can be fixed easily like the light bulbs. Also when I was checking in the guy (Caucasian) was very rude like he didn't want to be here. Better customer service with a smile on their face and a few updates would make a huge difference. I've stayed at plenty of different econolodge and this one has to be one of the worst experiences.

Filthy. They don't have enough bedding so they only change out on demand. Miserable week. Broken down, homemade furniture. A/C window units broken and disgusting. Vacuum cleaner never gets within a foot of the walls so the floors are nasty. Breakfast bar is the worst I've ever been to in the world.

When we arrived we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned, there was spilt drinks still on table, bathroom sink was dirty and had hair in it, no toilet paper, bed was sort of remade but from previous occupant and mirrors were filthy. The headboard was missing from bed but the brackets had been left in the wall posing a serious safety hazzard. Man from front desk came up and moved us to room across hall which for the most part had been cleaned as long as you didn't look in the microwave, didn't need the pillow without a pillowcase and brought us up a light bulb for the lamp. He was even nice enough to try to leave us the towels from the dirty room. The toilet did not flush properly so hopefully you had no serious business to do. Man from from the desk stated it was a daily occurrence that rooms hadn't be cleaned properly. He was friendly enough.

The staff are exceptional (both front desk & house keeping). We booked a last minute room here after some complications we had at a different hotel & I was blown away by how accommodating they were. The location is perfect, the rooms are a little dated, but for the price it was well worth it. They have a wide cable selection, including HBO & the beds were comfortable. Water pressure in the showers were great & everything was clean. We were only there for 2 days but the staff knew who we were & always greeted us with a friendly smile. Just for the customer service & price this will always be my go to stay in Fargo from now on.

It's a cheapish 2 star hotel. The rooms are overpriced for what you get. The beds appear to be original. Same mattresses as when there place first opened. People generally get a hotel room because they plan to sleep. I don't understand why hotels insist on being so cheap that the beds are this horrible. I'm fine of the hotel chaos out in other areas, instead. For instance, if I want high end toiletries or I require the use of a super fluffy towels, I can pack them off I'm so inclined. I can't pack a bed. Please replace these torture devices.

The desk staff, especially the morning staff, was very nice. The hotel was quiet. Our dog was welcomed & even given treats as we left! Beds were comfortable. I would have liked a warmer (or more) blankets on the beds. Our air/heat temperature seemed to not adjust with the knob. It was either HOT! with the heat on or freezing with the air on. We ended up just running the fan & that was kind of okay, although it was a little chilly. I would give this hotel another shot. It wasn't the best, but definitely wasn't the worst, I've ever stayed at.

The carpet was wet in our room. When we went to the desk to ask about it, the person at the front desk was sitting with her legs up watching cartoons. She didn't acknowledge us until we said spoke first. My friend asked if the carpets had been cleaned recently and the employee said she didn't think so. My friend said the room smelled like "death." The employee answered that all the rooms smell like death. There were dirty mattresses outside the hotel that had been rained on. There was a sign on two doors stating the fire marshal ordered stop work for the renovations. Housekeeping was really helpful and friendly. That, air conditioning working well, and free Wifi were the only positives.

We stayed here when the Econolodge West overbooked their hotel. Our room smelled like urine, was missing the peephole (making it just an open hole in the door), had food left in the fridge from the previous guests, and had a broken latch on the door. We asked to change rooms. our new room reeked of smoke and had a stain on the comforter, but we considered this an upgrade. The other room our group booked had unmade beds, garbage in the garbage bin, and the smoke detector was hanging on by a wire. their next room was moderately better than this. The next morning, we attempted continental breakfast, but the fridge (normally filled with milk and yogurt) was empty, and the waffle mix had gone sour. I know this is a budget hotel, but you should still be able to expect a clean and safe room.
