Good and prompt service. Polite staff. And they have continued to use cloth napkins unlike many other restaurants who have started using paper tissues. So it's environmental friendly.

After a friend recommended it, I went there with high hopes only to realize that it's an overhyped restaurant that's running on nostalgia. A lot of local people used to eat there during the 70s, and 80s when Chinese (and Japanese) cuisine were not that famous probably in India; so below average food also tasted good probably. So these people are now the elderly who still visit this restaurant due to the nostalgic attachment and their kids and grandkids and their family tag along because they want to see their grandparents happy. I ordered prawn tempura sushi and mixed meat Schezwan rice. Sushi: one 🌟 because of the super strong Wasabi. That was good. Rest of the sushi is forgettable. And obviously not worth the eleven hundred price tag. Mixed meat schezwan rice: zero stars because it tasted like normal fried rice with very little meat, shrimps etc with light tangy Manchurian gravy on the top of it. It felt weird. So overall, one 🌟 because of the wasabi. If you want to have super strong wasabi, you can visit. Else avoid.

Good food, nice location, courteous staff. Food is a bit expensive but not exceeding the price of such restaurant in a shopping mall. Sushi was good and was made like sushi which we were sensitive about. The Chinese is good as well and reminded us some old and gold Chinese restaurant in Kolkata. Nice ambiance, holding the authenticity and charm of a Asian restaurant in India. Definitely willing to visit again. They are charging service charge by default, would suggest them to ask customer before they do so, that should have a better jesture.

Fujiya established in 1969 is perhaps one of the oldest Chinese and Japanese resturant in Delhi located in Malcha Marg an upscale area of New Delhi.. Fujiya literally translated is a male name for boys and means wealth and riches in abundance We were a party of 6 seniors and we had proposed that we partake lunch on Friday 5th January 2024.. The resturant was at 1pm already crowded and were lucky to have booked a table for six in advance.. The interior are cramped and perhaps purposely done to bring the Japanese resturants atmosphere which has lot of warmth .. For starters we ordered out sweet and sour veg soup with crispy spinach pepper salt and roast bean curdvwith vegetables.. For main course we ordered Japanese sticky rise with vegetables .We had also tried out pan fried noodles vegetables and Kung pao vegetables.. For desert ice date pancake and Mount Fuji Ice-cream. The food still has the old time charm and we had a chance to talk to the owner who identified himself as Surinder..and he stated that the chefs are all old timers and his cooking remains true to the days he started Fujiya resturant.. The food was served hot and in style and was favorably spiced and had the correct taste and flavour.. The service was courteous, helpful and friendly We spent nearly two hours over the leisurely lunch and enjoyed every moment... We wish all members of Fujiya resturant all the very best in the future years... Enclosing a few pictures and a video clip to give an idea of the ambience and the feel of the Fujiya establishment

Amongst the oldest and the best places to have Chinese food in delhi. Going to this place will make you feel like you are in China only as the complete interior of the place is designed in a very authentic way. No matter whatever dish you order, it will be great in taste.. The restaurant also serves great Thai food as well. They can customize the dishes as per your special requests as well. The staff is also very polite, nice and friendly with kids..

Except for the sushi, nothing is good. The drinks are horrible and hot chocolate fudge apparently only includes a cube of vanilla icecream and Hershey's syrup! When asked by the waiter or the manager to fix the food, they force you to finish what has been served.

A very humble and top notch place to have Chinese in Delhi. One of the oldest places in the city and in a premium location. The staff is absolutely polite and food is mouth watering and lives up to the expectation all the time. Cost effective considering the locality. And a place to visit number of times by Chinese lovers

This is more of an Indian Chinese restaurant than a Japanese restaurant... out of six dishes we ordered four were good, two were average... so if you want to try some decent Chinese food with little bit of Indian flavors added you can visit this place... not many Japanese food options available on menu... also they don't have plate system or meal bowls... you need to order curry and rice or noodles separately... looking at the ambience, price is a little on higher side.

Earlier Heard alot about this place..so went for Dinner. Location is malcha marg top VIP area. The complex where Fujiya situated is very beautiful. But when we entered the restaurant it was very small and very congested..tables were so closed that everybody know who’s talking what and eating what. But restaurant was jammed packed so we thought food must be extra ordinary but in my opinion it was just okay type and over hyped..I’ll prefer sSikkim house over Fujiya.. we ordered chicken talumein soup5/5, steam chicken momos2/5, veg fied rice 3/5, veg hakka noodles 5/5, and chilli chicken 3/5. Food was no doubt expensive here maybe because of location..

Good was above average. I've had better meats. They're old yet maintaing a decent quality. Some things may need upgrades and quality of food needs a stricter watching over. The ambience was good and it's located very well. Chicken preparations were excellent, can't say the same for Sushi or fish.

Good old school vibe and food The service was a bit slow but the food makes up for it The mocktails tasted too artificial and can be improved. To get a table easily be there before 1945, else you would have to wait for minimum an hour.

Highly overrated. keeping tables of 2 to 4 for business.too few tables for more than 5. Waiting period of > 30 minutes with no facilities for customers is not acceptable. food is just average and nothing to wait fo.Once you are in they will pile up the starters and hover around for u place the order for main course so can get more people in . mybe is different on weekdays

The place is okay-ish and raving reviews which I read about its food fell flat. I went there today and my friend wanted to try sushi and the server told us I don't eat it, it raw and who eats sushi l was surprised or maybe they know the sushi sucks that they serve.

Very nice food. Mainly Chinese influence, with a few Japanese-inspired options scattered in the menu. It was fairly quiet for a weekday lunch, but it seems dinners are more crowded.

Ordered Pork gravy... horrible Pork preparation...it's like the chef has never seen pork before...just some cuts and dip them in common gravy and pass them up as specific dishes...The veg fried rice was really good...but when you go to a gourmet restaurant you don't eat veg fried rice 😂...

If you are looking for good food, definitely do not go here. Especially if you want authentic Japanese or Chinese food. Food was below average, we tried a sushi dish, lamb dish and the Hong Kong style chicken. Lamb dish was decent but the chicken and sushi were terrible. However, the waiters were very kind and the food came extremely fast. Definitely not worth the 4000 rupee bill though.

Sushi was nice Tofu stir fry was tasteless, I didn't eat it. At the beginning I received my roll with cream even though I said I'm vegan and specifically asked for no cream. They replaced it quickly.

It was a disgusting experience to dine here. I brought my family here for dinner. We ordered lemon chicken, fried rice, plain rice, sweet and sour veg and grilled fish for main course. However none of it could be relished for the following reasons: 1. There was a hair in the fried rice and my daughter immediately stopped eating. 2. The lemon chicken was served fried, absolutely bone dry and tasteless, separate from its sauce, which (get this) was red. It also tasted like diluted tomato ketchup. There wasnt even a hint of lemon. I have had lemon chicken in many places but none this unbelievably bad. I asked them to remove it and bring a menu which they didnt. So i missed dinner altogether. 3. We ordered grilled fish and requested the server for mashed potato which he agreed to while taking the order but then later denied that he had agreed to bring it. He never even bothered to ask which fish. The fish alone was inr 975. 4. We ended up paying 3165 for the meal from hell. They shamelessly charged for the fried rice with the hair too. Wont ever go there again and would recommend people to stay away from it as well. It was the most pathetic service most pathetic food and most pathetic experience.

Food was good but the preparation time was atrocious! We visited this facility after a long time, were glad to learn that food quality was comparable. Genuinely feel that overall preparation time could be improved.

Not like the food quality this time although visited this place earlier as well. Taste was missing in almost every ordered item.

  • 2/5 Indrani C. 2 years ago on Google
Gosh. Such a disappointment. Lotus stem honey chilli was too sweet and had zero worth in terms of a reputed dish at Fujia. Same dish at Berco's is oh so yummy ! Lamb shredded chilly dry was decent but again not worth the price and onenxan have better at Berco's. The biggest disappointment was the fried Wonton. Damn the oil tasted bad and the wonton tasted like oil. Somehow ate just the chicken part ! Overall disappointing. Not worth it.

I had the chicken with almonds and egg fried rice which is my safe go-to meal at any Chinese restaurant, and it was good. The portion is too big for me but that's just my case, so I brought the leftovers home (very well packed). I also had the plain chocolate brownie (there's also with ice cream) and let me tell you: AMAZING brownie, 10/10 recommend! It compeetes with Amour's brownie (next door). I fell in love with a piece of cake! 😍The decoration is nice and the restaurant is pretty cosy. The only downer for me is that the employees are a bit weird standing too close and staring. If I need I'll call, why stand so close and stare so much? 🥲😂🙄 Besides that, totally recommend if you're craving asian food!

I have been going to Fujiya for close to 20 years. The food has been consistently good and service also has the old world charm. Best part is despite having an upmarket clientele, the prices are reasonable and the helpings rather good. Would love to visit again.

Went there really late so we could get a table without any waiting (which I am told happens if you go after eight - eight thirty in the evening). Food is good but the overall ambience and service leave a lot to be desired. Washrooms open onto the hall and it can be a little awkward to walk out of them directly into the seating area. Service is quick but staff is kind of curt. Place definitely has an old school vibe going for it (and I'm sure a lot of patrons who frequent it) but it needs much more than just that.

  • 1/5 dharya k. 1 year ago on Google
Behaviour of employees is not at all polite but rather egoistic with rude unapologetic body language and way of communication. I would like to highlight specifically Vinay Kumar (Cashier) who sits as a frontal employee. A restaurant with high food prices and such poor services should not be the place one may dine in. One visiting here is one testing ones self respect. And they should be boycotted so they understand the importance of customer role in resturant.
