Beautiful memorial of Freedom Fighters of 1857. Very well crafted statue cluster has been installed. A red stone tablet displays names of slodiers who laid down their lives for future generations to be free of foreign rule. Hats off to them. Open all the days.

The place is dedicated to the freedom fighters and martyrs of the first war for independence of India in 1857. The lush green compounds are peaceful and well kept. There is a Shahid Stambh that is located in here along with a museum. Inside the museum there are preserved artifacts and items which hold relevance in retelling the story of the struggle for independence. There are two galleries inside this museum, depicting paintings and depictions of the revolt of 1857.

Built in memory of the 1857 revolt, the Shaheed Smarak is one of the most seasoned and well-maintained places in Meerut. Located quite close to the Company Gardens, this memorial hosts events during important Indian national holidays. The grounds of this marble pillar also houses the Government Freedom Struggle Museum which was set up in 1997. The Government Freedom Struggle Museums is a crucial preserve of documents and other essentials that are currently used for educational and informative needs. The museum also cites two galleries showcasing some artefacts and paintings of the time.

I would like to say that our heritage should not be tampered with as it is our duty to preserve it.

The Shahid Smarak is one of the oldest war memorials built in Meerut. The white marble structure is 30 m high and was built to commemorate the war martyrs of India. It is specially associated with the first war of freedom or revolt of 1857. Several Indians visit the monument to pay their tribute to those who died for the country on days like the Indian Independence Day and Repub

Inside the museum, there are two galleries that have a large collection of exhibits such as paintings and depictions of the 1857 Sepoy Mutiny. Apart from this, there is also a large compound which is highly peaceful and is beautifully adorned with verdant greenery. On a whole, Shahid Smarak is the best place to visit with your family and to know about a part of the history of India’s independence. It's a small place dedicated to Freedom Fighters. Itis situated in Cantonment area. There is a sculpture depecting Fighting soldiers and a Red Stone on which list of Sepoys who fought British are written. It's a must visit place to read out and connect by feeling the pain of Brave #Soldiers who lend there lives for our country in First #Freedom #Fight against British Rule in India.
