Door and website says open at 6 but it was still closed by 7 when I finally gave up. As a military member traveling on orders and sleeping in the airport all night, I was looking forward to this place opening up.

Great staff and super friendly. This was a great experience as spirit changed my flight last minute and left me with a 7 hour layover. Thankfully the Freedom Center was available and I couldn’t have found a better place to relax and wait. Thank you

I had a long wait to depart DTW and came across this incredible gift. They are doing a great thing and I commend all that had anything to do with its creation and the great volunteers who staff it everyday!!! Thank you and God Bless all of the staff and those who come through these portals.

It’s 630 and they are not open. Nothing on the door. Very disappointing as I arrived early to hang out here for my flight. Seems this is becoming a trend here as I look at other reviews.

A very comfortable place to relax between flights. Water, juices, snacks and big lounge chairs!! A extra added feature of Wi-Fi and an air printer.

Great place to relax and get a snack and drinks while traveling through DTW. It is free for military members and their families. I am a military spouse and I was traveling alone and was allowed in. The volunteers were very friendly and helpful. They keep the place clean by wiping down seats when people leave, wiping down common areas, etc. There is a flight status board inside for the terminal, reclining couches, water, a Kuerig, and small snacks. Everything is free. They do not have a kitchen for meals. It is a very nice addition to the airport for military families.
